I walked for a while and then caught a familiar scent in the breeze. I turned around though there was no one there. They are hiding in the shadows, I thought. I smiled then walked up to where I knew they were hiding.
"I know you are there." I said.
"Aww, Happy you gave us away." Said Natsu as he and Happy stepped out of the shadows.
"No, it was you." Said Happy.
"No, you."
"You." I smiled then turned to leave but was followed.
"So where are you going?" Asked Natsu.
"To look for a job to help Lucy pay the rent and for food and things."
"You could work at the guild you know." He said. I thought, working at the guild, being around them all day every day I was bound to get attached. Having a job somewhere else then I wouldn't. I had to leave when I was better. The thought of joining Fairy Tail both appeals and scares me. I felt my heart racing at the thought. No, I couldn't, I thought.
"No, that won't work for me." I told then. There was silence and I thought that he would push it but was both relieved and pleased when he didn't.
"So that guy you were talking to." Natsu began. "His names Jace isn't it?"
"Yes. Why?"
"Because he was jealous." Happy blurted out.
"Happy!" Shouted Natsu. I looked over my shoulder and saw that Natsu's cheeks were the same colour as his hair. It is quite cute, I thought, then silently scolded myself. I cannot think things like that, I told myself.

The afternoon went by with me wondering in different shops and coming back out. Natsu and Happy definitely lightened the otherwise boring afternoon.
"Kat, we're hungry." Said Natsu in a complaining voice.
"I really what some really nice, juicy fish." Said Happy looking tired. My stomach rumbled loudly.
"Yeah I am hungry too but I don't have any money right now." I told them.
"Don't worry we will pay, our treat." Said Natsu with a big goofy grin.
"Are you sure?"
"Aye." Said Happy nodding. Natsu grabbed my hand and started pulling me along his him.
"Come on I know the perfect place." I didn't object and let him pull me along though his actions did shock me.

When we got there I found it was a little restaurant tucked out of the way. It was a lovely little place and it was warm and cosy inside.
"They do really good food here." Said Natsu.
"And the fish is good too." Said Happy making me smile that the only thing he ever thought about was fish. We sat down and Happy ordered a massive plate of fish while Natsu ordered a huge buffet of things. There was chicken, steak, pork, lamb as well as a huge range of other foods and salad. My eyes gleamed at all the food. I had never seen so much food in my life, my stomach rumbled really loudly. Natsu and Happy laughed.
"You should see your face." Said Natsu. I frowned at them both though soon found myself smiling. "Please tuck in." He said before reaching for the chicken. All the food seemed to be gone on a flash and afterwards I was really full and I sat there feeling like I was going to explode.
"You can really eat." Said Natsu.
"Yeah I don't think I have ever eaten so much in my entire life." I told him. He laughed and then stood up and left, leaving me alone with Happy, who also looked really full.
"Where did Natsu go?" I asked Happy.
"How should I know?" He replied. I laughed.
"You have a point I guess."
"Hey Kat?" Said Happy.
"Yeah."
"Why don't you want to join Fairy Tail?"
"It is a long story but really I am ashamed to admit that I am scared to join any guild."
"I guess you have a good reason for that fear but everyone in Fairy Tail cares about you, everyone wants you to join, especially Natsu. He hasn't really stopped talking about how much you should join Fairy Tail."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I want you to join too. Even tough you haven't been here long I already fell like you are part of Fairy Tail just without the emblem. I pt won't be the same without you." I felt tears prick at my eyes. No one had ever been that kind to me. I found myself asking, he wants me here how could I be so selfish as to leave? I felt a single tear roll down my check.
"I didn't mean to make you cry. Do you want a bit of my fish to cheer you up?" I laughed whilst wiping my eyes.
"I am sorry. It's just no one has ever been this kind to me." Happy walked over the dishes and pots until he was stood in front of me.
"I don't usually do this with Natsu but you look like you need it." He held up his arms. "Do you want a hug?" I felt more tears fall down my face and hugged Happy but being careful not to hurt him. After a little while I pulled away.
"Thank you Happy." I said. He smiled.
"Any time." I returned his smile then I saw Natsu coming back but he was with a man in a black suit.
"Hey Kat. This is John the manager of this restaurant."
"It is nice to meet you young lady. I hear from your friend you are in need of employment." I was shocked but I nodded. "Your friend speaks fondly of you and he is a recent costumer here so if you want I would like to give you a job here." I stood up.
"Th - thank you very much Sir." I said.
"Then I hope to see you tomorrow morning at 9." And with that he turned and left.
"There you go. Operation find a job completed." I was so happy that without thinking I flung my arms around Natsu's neck. I immediately regretted it. Natsu was also shocked but hugged me back all the same. When I pulled away Natsu's checks were slightly red but I ignored it.
"Thank you for everything. Both of you." I said speaking to both Natsu and Happy.
