When I woke up I quickly ran to my bedroom to shower and change. I'd been sleeping I'm my brothers room for the last couple of days. I didn't know what to expect today. I opened up my closet door and chose my outfit out.

Then I moved onto my makeup look.

I wasn't expecting today to be easy especially since today was the gala. I felt nervous but excited about trying to ruin it. I found my dress out and hung it out on my door. It was a nice dress, I brought it last year and decided to not wear it. I was just hoping that everything would go down well. I walked downstairs and got myself some breakfast. My parents were reading something on their laptops so I decided to run the tap using my mind. They didn't notice so I decided that I was safe. I quickly got a cup of water before turning the tap off.

"Y/n, I'm glad that you're still here. Remember to wear a nice dress tonight. As you should know it's the PRIDE gala tonight and we need to be looking our bests." Dad said to me, I took a quick sip of water.

"I've already planned out what I'm wearing. It's hanging on my door but for now I need to head out." I said to them.

"Be safe." Mom said to me, I quickly grabbed my car keys before going to my car and getting in. I drove out the neighborhood and saw Chase driving behind me. We were all meeting up at the coffee shop. I chose to sit between Alex and Chase.

"So, what's the plan?" Gert asked Alex.

"Yeah, Alex?" Molly said.

"Why does everyone assume Alex has a plan? Someone else might have a plan." Chase said to everyone.

"Exactly, what if someone else has a great idea that we could all take aboard." I said with a smile.

"Great. Let's hear it." Alex said while looking at Chase and me.

"I just meant hypothetically." Chase said giving his answer, he added a nod.

"Same here." I said with a nod, Alex nodded at us.

"Guys, all I meant is are we carpooling or going separately, and how dressed up is everyone gonna get?" Gert asked us with a smile. I hadn't even thought about that, except from what I was going to wear.

"Oh, uh, suit, no tie." Chase said with a smile. At least he had one thing planned.

"Oh, so that you have a plan for." Alex said while looking away from Alex. None of us needed for them to get into an argument today.

"Also, my parents are okay footing the bill for a limo." Chase said with a smile.

"Same." I said with a smile.

"Mine, too." Karolina said with a smile.

"Same." Nico said to us.

"Yeah, my parents have been really nice these days." Alex said with a smile, mine had too but I decided to push it off as 'abnormal behavior'.

"Guys, we cannot have the carbon footprint of a fleet of limos." Gert said, that was totally a Gert thing to say.

"Uh, Nico, I could pick you up if you wanted to go together." Alex said to her with a smile, I was hoping that she'd at least say she'd think about it.

"Y/n, Karolina, I practically go right past your houses." Chase said to us both, that was true he lived a few minutes away from my house.

"Some of us are too young to date." Molly said to us, I honestly thought that you should be able to date at any age.

"Dating is so heteronormative. One limo, 6 stops." Gert said being annoying. Just because Chase didn't like her it doesn't mean that she can say anything bad about dating.

"Okay. So, we figured out the transportation situation. Everybody cool what happens once we get there?" Alex said to us, I was perfectly fine about what was going to happen. I didn't care if it ruined my parents' lives.

"Once that video is out, there's no going back. Our parents will be put away forever." Chase said, I mean it would be hard not having my parents with me to accomplish milestones in my life, like when I get married or when I have my first child. I would need my mother with me even if she was a bad person.

"And that's a bad thing?" Karolina asked us rhetorically.

"No, but don't you have questions?" Molly asked us, I had a lot of questions. But maybe I didn't want the answers.

"Maybe we should try talking to them, you know, one last time." Nico said to us, that wouldn't work.

"I can't try talking to them, especially since I know what they do." I said to them.

"I don't know, I think the time for talking is over. But everybody's gotta be in. I know I am." Alex said before putting his arm out, I put mine on top followed by Karolina. Gert joined in next, then Molly did and then Nico did but Chase didn't.

"Chase, put your hand in." Molly said to him, I looked at him.

"Sorry, I didn't realize putting my hand in a pile was some kind of legally binding contract." Chase said sarcastically. It was a contract.

"It's symbolic." Alex said to him, it was? I never knew that, I just thought that it was some sort of luck thing.

"Yeah, well, of course I'm in. Who hates their dad more than me?" Chase said while putting his hand in the middle. I quickly kissed his cheek.

"So, how long do we have to do this?" Gert asked us, I retracted my hand.

"It was a hot." I said as I felt my hand.

"Yeah..." Alex said to us.

"Ugh, it's hot." Nico said to us, we went back home so we could change. I decided to keep my makeup the same. I quickly changed into my dress.

I heard a knock on my door when I was curling my hair. "Come in." I said to whoever was on the other side of the door.

"Where do you think your going dressed like that?" I heard my dad ask me.

"I'm going to the gala and you can't dictate what I can and can't wear." I said to them, I walked out my bedroom and went to my car to drive to Karolina's seeming as Nico had texted me to go there, when I got there Molly and Gert were already there. When the limo came Karolina popped open a bottle of champagne.

"Cheers, guys." She said while raising her glass. We stopped at Chase's house, he got in next to me seeming as everyone had to move round. He put his arm around me and I leant into him.

"We're here." Our driver told us, I swear I've seen him before. We all got out and had our pictures taken. There were so many cameras here.

"Did I tell you that look beautiful?" Chase asked me with a smile.

"Multiple times." I said back with a smile, we laid our eyes on our parents. Holding a cheque for the school. Everyone was applauding them but I just rolled my eyes.

"Everybody here thinks our parents are the heroes." Alex said while shaking his head, they didn't know we did.

"Not after tonight." Nico said to us, I couldn't wait any longer.

"I hope they enjoy it. It'll be the last fun they have for a while." Gert said to us, I had to agree. Let's let them have this moment before we ruin their lives.

"If they go to prison, it'll be hard to talk to them, right?" Molly asked us, of course it would.

"I'm not too worried." Karolina said nonchalantly.

"I couldn't care less." I said while crossing my arms and look at them. We all looked at them, acting like they don't kill people in their spare time.

"Okay, it's go time. Nico, Y/n, are you ready to lead the way?" Alex said to us, Nico nodded at him. We were starting our project off.

"I'm as ready as I've ever been." I said while nodding, Chase looked at me and smiled.

"Karolina, can I talk to you for a second?" Gert said before pulling her away, I wondered what they were talking about.

"Hey, Chase. I'm thirsty. Should we go get a drink?" Karolina asked Chase, he looked at me for approval.

"I trust you." I said before quickly kissing him on the lips.

"Yeah, I'll get in line." He said to her while walking away, I saw the way Gert looked at me.

"Okay, we three are Operation Tina Server Room. I'm not great at code names. I'm working on it. You ready?" Alex said as we moved by Gert. If she wanted Chase, she wasn't going to win. At the end of the day, Chase was with me. He wasn't interested in anyone else.

"Born ready. Let's rock this bitch." She said before we started walking away. "Where's Molly?" She asked but none of us really knew.

"The last time I saw her, she was with all of us." I said to her while looking back. We followed Alex up to where we needed to be. He looked behind the make shift doorway.

"Go get him, Tiger." Alex said to Gert.

"We just need a couple of minutes of quality flirtation." Nico said to her.

"Hopefully you can do that." I muttered under breath, I'm guessing she heard me by the look on her face.

"That's it." The three of us whispered at the same time.

"Right, but how?" She asked us, I put my hand on my head. She can't even do a simple task.

"Just be yourself." Nico said to her.

"Who do what I do." I said to her, if she did what I did maybe she'd have a boyfriend instead of trying to be a home wrecker.

"Come on, Gert. Make it happen." Alex whispered to her as she walked away.

"Cockroaches, right?" She said with a chuckle, what was she doing. We all shared a look, she was failing. Now I understand why she was going to alone forever. "No other creature could better convey the lows of human existence. Kafka nailed it." She added, I had no idea what she talking about now.

"Agreed, yeah. It's for a class called the Dehumanization of the Proletariat." He said to her, at least that made sense now.

"I have always been fascinated by the way the Industrial Revolution confortes the human spirit." She said as we ran across the room to the elevators. Once we were in Alex pressed in the floor number we needed.

"I love rebelling, we should do this more often." I said as we were going up. I mean I'm always rebelling but it was nice to do it with other people.

"Remember we need to stay focused." Alex said to us, the elevator dinged then the doors opened up. We walked onto the floor and Nico used the card to get authorization into the area we needed to go in. "Is that it?" Alex asked her but he didn't get a reply. The doors opened and we walked into the server room. "From the other side of the screen it all looks so easy." He said to us, me and Nico looked at him confusedly. "Tron? It seemed appropriate." He said to us, we weren't nerds so we would never understand. Alex started to reach into his bag to get his laptop out.

"I knew your nerd brain couldn't handle this much processing power. There's so many. How will we figure out which one we need?" Nico asked him curiously as we looked at all the different servers.

"How will you know if you've accessed the wrong one, this might take all night." I said to him while looking at the rows of servers,

"Do you really want to know how a hyper visor delineates between a physical server and a virtual one? 'Cause if you did, that's kind of hot." He said, I'm guessing the last part was for Nico. She rolled her eyes and looked at the servers. I watched as his laptop was working away, when it beeped I knew that something had happened. "Yes!" He said before we started walking. "Okay...yes here we go." He said as he finally found the right server. "Okay. Plugging in." He said before looking for a place to plug his laptop in but there wasn't any. "Oh, no." He said to us.

"What's wrong?" Me and Nico both asked him.

"There ports must work off an internal interface. I can't plug in." He said to us, this was becoming a nightmare now.

"That's why there's no security down here." Nico said to her, that was starting to make sense.

"That explains so much." I said while nodding, this was a dead end.

"Wizard is the security." Alex said while shutting the protective door to the port.

"What if we were in my mom's office? Could you get the video from there?" Nico said while holding up the keycard.

"Surely we can right? Or did we do all of this for nothing?" I asked him curiously, I needed to know that this was for nothing.

"I'm pretty sure we can." He said to us, we got back in the elevator and went up to Nico's mom's office. We followed her through the hallway and down to the authorized door, which Nico tried to unlock for us.

"You've gotta be kidding me right now. It's not working!" Nico said after the third attempt, could something go right.

"Let me try." Alex said to her.

"If it's not working for Nico, it's not going to work for you." I said to him as he started doing something on the screen, he came up with 'access granted'. "I spoke to soon." I said to him with a smile. He opened the door and we went inside. Me and Nico shared a confused look.

"How'd you guess my mom's passcode?" Nico asked him confusedly.

"I'm just that good." Alex said to us.

"Let's just find what were looking for." I said before we started looking around the office for anything.

"Ow." I heard Nico exclaim, I looked over at her and saw her finger bleeding a little.

"Holy shit." Alex said as he looked at the desk.

"That's one thing that came to mind." I said as I looked at the desk.

"How did you...?" Alex asked her confusedly.

"It read my DNA, just like the staff. I guess 50% Tina's enough for it to think I'm my mom." Nico said while Alex was setting up his laptop.

"I guess so." I said with a smile, we needed our first win and we got it.

"All right, we'll just do it before it realizes you're not." Alex said, I saw that he got granted access and he started getting to work. I was just waiting for everything to happen so that we could finally expose our parents and their dirty works. There wouldn't be a twinge of guilt in my body after this. I'd be ready for the press and the media to talk about it. Alex started downloading the files or whatever onto his laptop, it was almost done when we received a text from Gert.

"My mom is coming." Nick said to us, I looked out of the room.

"I don't hear anything." Alex said to us.

"Just because we can't hear doesn't mean she isn't coming." I said as Nico showed us the text. We quickly hide in the office and waited for Tina to leave, but when we heard her crying, we knew that it wouldn't be fair to expose our parents. Well, I thought that I don't know about the others. We may not have known what had happened below us but it must be something serious. When Tina left, we left it a few minutes before we followed behind.

"Cute girl like you? Where we the girls like you when I was in high school?" The security guard said to Gert, that was kinda pervy.

"Did you try the theatre department? Or the library?" I hear Gert said before we went out of earshot.

"God, you know, I feel strange. Up until now, it's been all theories and hunches, right, but as soon as I decrypt that data, we'll have that tape. Undeniable proof that our parents are killers. You having regrets?" Alex said as we came to a stop.

"A few." I said honestly.

"It just doesn't make sense. Do killers really bawl their eyes out like my mom just did? The code you used to get into my mom's office- -What was it?" Nico asked him, I felt kind of awkward.

"'Password'. Your mom's a really busy lady. I figured she'd use something simple. You know, something that she could actually remember. Plus, who would ever think that the tech titan Tina Minoru's password was 'password,' right?" He said to us with a light chuckle.

"You did." Nick said answering his obvious question. I saw Chase approach us and I smiled at him.

"I got lucky, I guess." Alex said to us.

"Very lucky." I said to him with a smile.

"Really lucky." Nico said to him. When Chase made his way over to us, he stood behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"How'd it go?" He asked us.

"Mission successful. How was the party?" Alex asked him, I was curious myself.

"Great. Fine. Saved Karolina's life. Well, tried to, but, hey, luckily she can fly." He said to him, I looked up at him confusedly.

"Big night." Nico said to us.

"Very big night indeed." I said with a nod.

"That's an understatement. You hear about our parents?" Chase asked Nico, she shook her head. "They're having an affair." Chase answered, that explains why Mrs. Minoru was crying.

"What? My mom and your dad?" She asked him curiously.

"No, my mom and..." Chase said not wanting to finish his sentence.

"Oh, my God, and my mom?" Nico said giving a suggestion, that didn't make sense to me.

"No, my mom, your dad." Chase said, I felt bad him and for Mrs. Minoru as well.

"My dad..." Nico said with a scoff. I looked down and so did Alex. It went silent for a bit. We needed to leave so we we went to find our parents.

"Is everything alright?" Mom asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Can we leave now. I'm getting a bit cold and I don't have a jacket." I said to them with a light laugh.

"We could've told you that, but if you want to go, then we'll go." Dad said to me, we got into our car and as soon as we got home I took my heels off before running upstairs and shutting my bedroom door. I needed this video to come out and soon.
