I still couldn't believe it, that she was gone, she was never coming back. It was now 2022. We'd all moved in with our lives apart from me and Chase. We were living together. And engaged. "How are you feeling this morning?" He asked me, it was now the anniversary of Gert's death.

"I feel okay, just I didn't prep for my exam." I said to her and he shook his head.

"And wants your exam on?" He asked me, I actually had no idea.

"Neuroscience." I said to him, I could already tell that he was disappointed.

"I know it's neuroscience, but what aspect?" He asked, me and I looked at him.

"I don't know but I should get going." I said to him and he kissed me.

"Good luck." He said to me before I went to the UCLA campus. I wasn't the only one here, Karolina was also around as well. I went to class and I feel like I failed. When it arose to lunch me and Karolina were meeting up.

"How were your classes?" She asked me as I was nervously eating my salad.

"Let's not talk about it, how's your major going?" I asked her, I already knew that she could tell I was hiding something, she was taking a psychic major before after all.

"It's going well, I've been getting high praise." She said to me it wasn't long until the lunch was interrupted. By a gathering. At the Hostel. Nico was joining us.

"I missed you so much." I said before hugging her.

"I missed you too." She said to me before we both separated, I then went over to Chase. Well future Chase, it was all confusing.

"So happy to have you back, Nico." Molly said while hugging her.

"Would have been nice if you'd let one of us know." Karolina said to us, they weren't on good terms since the breakup.

"Hey, things happen, okay? One of you went on a mysterious sojourn to a secret location for an unknown period of time. The other stayed at home and met a cute grad student. That's life." Alex said to us, now this needed to hurry up, I still had another class to attend.

"I wanted to reach out to let you all know I was home. And I was literally about to when he showed up to try and kill me." Nico said before pointing at Alex.

"No, not me, some other Alex." Alex said to her, this was getting interesting.

"Actually, it is you. It's the person you become." Future Chase said to us all.

"Just like how you're the person our Chase becomes?" Karolina asked him, I had questions for future Chase.

"Hey, so that means that one day he must get out if that bedroom that he locked himself in." Molly said to us, I hated that he never left anymore.

"Should we go get him right now?" Nico asked him, I'd say no.

"No. I can't interact with my past self, just like you can't interact with your future one. It can't mess too much up. Besides, the 'me' upstairs needs to keep working on time travel. With a little help from Alex and the Abstract, eventually I do figure it out." Chase said to us, so he really was doing everything right.

"Oh, my God. Of all the people in the world, you get to become a Time Lord? That is so unfair." Alex said to us all.

"I assume that's a 'Doctor Who' reference, that, like always, lands with a thud." Nico said to Alex, I had no idea what he was talking about.

"But still, why would any version of Alex want to kill Nico?" Karolina asked, if it was for revenge then what happened.

"Because one of us tried to kill him. A bomb was placed in his office. It went off, but he survived." Chase said to us, now it wouldn't have been me.

"Whoa. That's the exact same method PRIDE used to kill my parents." Molly said to us, maybe future Molly did it.

"I'm afraid over time...some of us follow in their footsteps." Chase said to us, now it wouldn't be me. Not at all.

"Who?" Nico asked.

"It's not me is it?" I asked him.

"I can't say." Chase said to us all.

"Because you don't know?" Karolina asked him, he knew but he couldn't say.

"No, because too much information about your future could create a shift in the timeline, and the results of that could be devastating." Chase said to us.

"More devastating than turning evil and trying to kill each other?" Molly asked him.

"Yes. Which is why we need to stick together. Future Alex doesn't specifically know who planted the bomb...so he's coming after all of us." Chase said to us, well I could take him.

"Why now?" Karolina asked him.

"Because today was the day that Nico brought us all back together. In memory of..." Chase started before looking down.

"Gert." Molly said, I still couldn't believe that three years had gone by.

"His knowledge of what happened gives him an advantage." Alex said, he forgot he was after us.

"Gives you an advantage. I see a quick solution here. I put Alex in a spell, and we keep him quarantined until we're sure we're safe." Nico said to us. We should hide as well.

"If it was me who started this though, although I know that I wouldn't, I should be running. We all should we're targets. If anyone needs me, call me." I said before heading outside. It's not like I was hiding or running from my problems but I couldn't bare to lose anything. My brother had moved out of the city so I barely saw him. I was called to Karolina's place I saw Chase handing out watches. He handed me one.

"Your own personal time machines. Who's ready to go back to high school?" Chase asked me, I take it we didn't have a choice. We all went back. It was a fun ride. Molly was laughing.

"Oh, shit! Oh! I feel nauseous." Alex said as he landed on the ground.

"Well, that's because you just went in reverse around a donut-shaped vacuum where spacetime can get bent upon itself using focused gravitational fields to form a closed timeline curve." Chase said, I had no idea what he said.

"And this watch did that?" Karolina asked him, I hated being back at school.

"Yes, it did." Chase said with a smile.

"You really figured it out." Alex said as he stood up.

"Don't act so surprised. And don't touch that. You don't want to accidentally end up somewhere that you hadn't planned. And if you touch someone or something when it activates, it's all going with you. Okay, there's enough power in each one of these for four jumps. I'm down to two and so is future Alex. He's gonna need one to return to his original timeline." Chase said to us, that meant he did as well.

"Oh, so he can't jump back whenever he wants." Alex said to us, we couldn't even follow him.

"Or he'll get stranded." Molly said to us.

"Can't believe he came here to hunt us." Nico said to us,

'And we had no idea he was coming." Karolina said to us all.

"He was like, surprise bitches." I said to them all, an invite would've been nice.

"It's efficient, devious. Typical Wilder." Chase said to us all, I had to agree.

"Okay, really? Can we turn off the comments section, because the troll factor's pretty high right now." Alex said to us all making me smile.

"Okay, you all remember where you were on this day. Go find yourselves, go guard them. Lay low, try not to change anything that happened, and under no circumstance are you to interact with your former version. I have no idea what type of time paradox that could create." Chase said before the school bell rang. "We get Alex, we get out. Come on." He said before we went separate ways. I saw myself go over to my dealer.

"Y/n, I've got what you wanted." Jerry said to us all, I couldn't believe this.

"No, you don't need it." I said while looking at myself.

"I'll take it. Thank you." Y/n said to him before paying him and walking away, she was about to pass me so I turned away. I then saw the others in a circle and ran to them.

"Everyone else, let's not mess this up." Chase said before we all went to the bus.

"Mr. Stein. Hey, is there a problem?" The teacher asked us. There was indeed.

"Yeah, we're looking for someone. He should be be here." Chase said to him as we were looking for Alex.

"Well, I've taken roll, and the only people who are on this bus that shouldn't be are all of you." He said to us before me and Nico spotted Alex.

"There he is." We both said making other Alex stand up.

"Hey, come on. No one needs to get hurt. Just come with us, we'll work it out." Chase said to us.

"Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late. I thought I was gonna miss..." Alex from the past said while stepping on the bus.

"Oh, what the hell?" The teacher asked, the timeline was screwed now. "I would say no weapons in school grounds. But what is that?" He asked before Alex took a passenger hostage.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." Chase said to him.

"Alex, no!" Karolina shouted at him.

"I'm Alex. Who is that?" Alex asked us, he needed to go.

"It's you from the future." Molly said to him nonchalantly.

"I got contacts?" He asked us all, it sure looked like it.

"Right, me and you are taking a walk." I said to Alex before we got off the bus, he couldn't be here any longer. I then put Alex on the bus. He'd had his memory wiped, other Alex went to the gym with present Alex.

"Doesn't seem like a win to me. We asked you, and we stopped you from committing several murders. That seems like a win to us. Now we take you back and we bring you to justice." Chase said to all of us.

"For something I didn't actually do? Tell me Chase, what evidence will you use? What testimony? The only people that will remember this are these people, and they all turn out rotten anyway, you know that." Alex said to us, that clearly met that me and Chase would no longer be together as well.

"Maybe, because we know this, we won't become those people." Molly said to us, I started looking around.

"Yeah. We have the future knowledge that you talked about, we can avoid becoming...this." Molly said to us, this whole thing was making me want to smoke.

"Yeah, or maybe one of you used it to their advantage to escalate things in their favor." Alex said to all of us, I knew that I'd have smokes in my locker so it wouldn't be a struggle.

"This is getting too complicated. Which brings me, again, to the fastest way out of here. You, exiled to Hawaii." Nico said to all of us, I'd like to go to Hawaii,

"Or the Star Wars hotel." Alex said to her, he really wanted to go to Florida.

"Yeah, fine. Your choice." Nico said to him.

"I'll be back, I need some air." I said before running outside. I then went to get to grab my cigarettes. The whole box would've been enough for the whole thing. I then ran back to gym. Once I was outside of it I lit a cigarette and started to smoke.

"I think the way we feel about each other will stay the same." I heard Karelian say to everyone. What were we doing now.

"And we'll be stronger for it." Nico said to us as I rejoined the group.

"Are we ready?" Molly asked with tears.

"Whatever it is, I'm ready. Born ready." I said to them while taking a puff.

"You guys really wanna do this?" Chase asked and we all nodded.

"Let's all go and save Gert." He said before we went forwards in time. To that one day.

"I'm doing the best I can considering..." I heard Stacey say. We were back.

"Whoa. We're right in the middle of it." Molly said before we pulled her back.

"No, Molly!" Chase shouted at her.

"Oh, my God!" She said to us all.

"Uh, well, I'm sorry, I was just trying to inoculate us...my bad." I heard Dale say to Stacey.

"Oh, my God, that's not getting any easier, is it?" Alex asked us, it truly wasn't.

"I still have nightmares about this night." Nico said to us all, I still cried.

"Morgan's on her way." Karolina said to us all, this was going to be hard.

"We barely won." Molly said to us.

"We can't do any better now." I said to them all.

"Exactly. And that's why my plan is simple. Since we defeated her, we can't disrupt any of what we did. We just need to pull Gert out so she doesn't get killed." Chase said but how was that going work though.

"Okay, but who's gonna close the circle?" Nico asked us, I definitely wasn't.

"I will." Chase said, I wouldn't let him do that.

"Not a chance. Morgan will just kill you. Me and Y/n are the strongest." Molly said to us all, I looked at everyone.

"It would make more sense if it was us." I said to them all.

"But not invincible. I have the power to take her on. It should be me." Karolina said to us, we were just arguing at this point.

"But your light power's no match for magic. It's me. Magic against magic." Nico said to us, at this point Gert was going to die again.

"She almost broke you last time." Karolina said to her.

"Whilst your arguing I'll be on look out." I said before moving out of earshot. I couldn't listen to this anymore. I saw future Alex leave so I followed after him, I was just going to keep on eye on him. Seeing myself made me just want to pass on a message to her. It wasn't long until Morgan appeared. We were getting up to the point, it was now or never. I found the others. I saw Chase leave.

"What's he up to?" Nico asked us all, I had no idea anymore.

"I'll go get him." Molly said to us and I looked at her.

"I'll join you." I said before going with her, we had to retreat him. I just had to hope that Chase never dies. I couldn't live without him anymore.

"But we aren't children, are we? Not anymore. Because adults like you took that away from us. Always making decisions in our 'best interests.' Even if that means lying, or hiding the truth. Is it any surprise that...we don't listen to a word that you say?" He asked her, he hadn't been noticed yet, that was good.

"If this is the place where we have to pause the action to listen to your moving speech about how evil I am, let's just skip that part, shall we?" Morgan asked before using her magic. "What's happened? A shielding spell?" She asked, it was working.

"It's Nico! From up there." Future Alex said before me and Molly knocked him out, he was on Morgan's side, Molly and I then hid. We were out of ear shot.

"Do you think this will work?" Molly asked me and I looked at her.

"I don't know, hopefully it does." I said to her before I looked out. I saw Chase on the ground bleeding.

"No, no! Chase! No don't leave me." I said before going over to him. I saw that Morgan was shielded.

"I'm sorry." He said to me, I was crying, he couldn't go.

"No, this isn't how it was meant to go. Your not going, I'm not doing this without you." I said to him before he left us. I didn't even care if I got caught.

"Chase!" Victor called out.

"Did we win? Looks like we won. Great job guys." I heard the past Chase said, I went and hid. Did this mean that Chase was dead I'm our time. I wanted to go home. I went upstairs. I hugged the others before we faded away. There was no need for us, when there was another change for us. I just hope that the new me was happy with Chase and didn't change that much at all. Hopefully still engaged. But that's a lot to ask for.
