I still couldn't believe that I never saw it coming. Why didn't I see that it was Alex this whole time and I'd just let him waltz off with Leslie. "I can't believe this." Molly said to us all, I couldn't believe what he'd done.

"But he helped us get you out of those tubes. Why would the alien do that?" Gert asked us all.

"To keep a cover." I said suggesting an idea.

"The Magistrate's son may have been dormant at that time." Xavin said to us, so what it was using Alex's energy.

"Dormant like hibernating?" Nico asked her.

"Inhabiting a new host is a challenge for the Gibborim. A stalwart host can resist the intrusion for a short time. If their will is strong." Xavin said to us, I mean Alex was stubborn.

"Wilder is stubborn as hell." Chase said to us all, he could say that again.

"Or he was just playing us this whole time. Think about it: the broken goggles, the fact that he could read the Abstract." Nico said to us, I looked at them all.

"I honestly feel so stupid for letting him trick me into staying in my room." I said to them all before walking away, I couldn't deal with this. I'd missed the red flags. I went over to the dining space and just sat there. I was thinking about all the mistakes I'd made. I saw Chase come in.

"This isn't your fault, you thought Alex was hurting so you gave him space like anyone would. It's okay, no one will blame you." He said to me while grabbing my hand.

"But it is my fault if I didn't go in to that stupid room this wouldn't have happened. Leslie would still be here but she's not." I said to him before he went back out there, this wouldn't make me feel any better. I went upstairs to get to my room. I made a fake barricade so that. No one would come in. I went to practice to become stronger I would take down Alex. I heard a knock on my door.

"Y/n, we're going out. Do you want to come or stay here with Chase and Gert?" I heard Nico ask me and I gave it a bit of a thought.

"I'll stay here, I don't think I'll be the best person to be with. When I'm the one who should've prevented this." I said to her and I heard her sigh.

"That's okay Y/n, but it's not your fault." She said to me. I know that Karolina was thinking it was my fault. Especially when I was the one who was here. Let's just face it I really wasn't planning on staying, I was going to leave. Once I'd heard the car go off. I snuck out of my room and went through the window that Molly used to go out of. I just needed a break from this whole place. And when I returned I saw Chase in our room.

"Where have you been?" He asked me as I looked at him before looking away.

"I was getting air, I couldn't be here anymore." I said to him and he shook his head,

"It's not safe out there. There's aliens around but take this. This is how we take down the aliens." He said before handing me a katana.

"We're killing them? Including Alex?" I asked him and he looked away before looking back at me, that was a yes. We'd be killing them.

"I shook my head, I can't kill Alex." I said to him, he was my friend as annoying as he was.

"Y/n, it's better to be him over anyone else. And I know how that sounds but it's true." He said to me, he was right. "But get to practice." He said to me before I started practicing with my katana. I he started with his Fistigons that had a blade in.

"Chase, if this is the last time I see you. I'll regret not doing this." I said before dropping the blade and walking over to him. I then kissed him. He took the fistigon off and deepened the kiss. He then picked me up and took me up to the mattress.

"Y/n, I love you. And if I don't make it I want you to remember that because your amazing, your strong, your not afraid to say or act over how you feel and I love you so much." He said to me and I looked at him.

"I love you too. You are the sweetest, sometimes the dumbest, but incredibly kind person I've ever met and I'm so glad that I have you." I said to him before we went to the next level again, at least if anything happens. This would be our last moment together. It wasn't long until Nico banged on our day.

"Y/n, Chase we gotta go Alex has the baby!" She said to us.

"Give us a minute and we'll be there." I said to her before the two of us got off the mattress and started putting our clothes back on. We then made it to the location that Alex was at along with the others.

"Oh, hell, no." The mother said to us.

"Oh, hell, yes." I said to her with a smile.

"Oh, this is gonna be fun." Mrs. Minoru said to us, it would.

"Not here. We can't risk it until the gateway fully opens. Draw them away." Stacey said to us, and how would they do that.

"Hide! Protect the baby." Jonah said to his family, he was going down. All of them were.

"That's right, you better run! Uh, why did they run?" Molly asked us, I didn't trust what they were doing. Something was off about it.

"Should we just destroy that thing?" Gert asked us now that just seemed way too easy.

"Xavin said it could become a nuclear reactor. Think we'd better leave it." Nico said to us, I looked at Gert.

And destroying would seem to easy." I said to her.

"Guys, I really don't think we should stay out in the open." Chase said to all of us. We were hiding in plain sight.

"Go find them. If they circle back, I'll hold them off." Karolina said before we all started to run, me and Chase located Jonah and chased after him. He wasn't escaping from us.

"Attention! Please make your ways to the exits. Attention! Please make your way to the-  -" we heard an announcement say. And just like that we'd located him. He turned around and there we were.

"Oh, shi- -" he said before Chase used the Fistigons. We then started to fight Jonah with our weapons but he was fighting back. "Finally getting revenge on the old man, huh? Feels good, doesn't it, son?" He said to Chase. He couldn't listen to this.

"Chase he's trying to get in your head." I said to him as I was trying to stab him.

"Don't call me that." Chase said to him.

"I tell you what. I'll let you win. But you gotta look right at me, so you can see the light go out in dear old dad's eyes." He said to Chase before they started to fight. I joined in trying to pull bars off but I was thrown against the wall. Once me and Chase were both down he took off. Once we caught up with everyone we saw Xavin.

"Wait. Guys, what's going on?" Chase asked as we were running.

"I'd like to know the plan." I said before we ran downstairs.

"Wait, you're taking the baby back to your home planet? I thought we were trying to stop that." Nico said to her, why was this even happening.

"My mom's orders. It's the only way to keep them safe." Karolina said to us all.

"It's true. Your destiny is not yet written. But mine is." Xavin said to us before looking down at the baby.

"The prophecy." Molly said while looking at her.

"The great love is the love for a child, whether it's ours or not." Xavin said to us, how did we know this was safe?

"How can you be so sure?" Gert asked her.

"I feel it deep inside. I just know." Xavin said, I saw that Molly was crying. I didn't realize how close they were.

"I'm gonna miss you, X." She said before hugging her, this was effecting me.

"I will see you again. I'm certain of it. Until then, the Sacred Mother must stay safe. I need you to protect Leslie at all costs." X said to us all, I nodded. We should get home and be with her.

"Promise." Molly said before X started to leave. We heard the whooshing sound go all around her and then she was gone. We saw the Magistrate's family.

"Uh, guys?" Chase said to us all.

"This is on." I said before taking my katana and putting it in a striking position.

"We have to hold them back." Karolina said before using her powers to defend. Something happened and it felt like we were being suffocated. Something wasn't right. I saw Chase was down. I held him. I saw Nico do something that killed them all.

"What the hell was that spell?" Chase asked as we all stood up.

"Did you just kill them all?" Gert asked her.

"That was badass, Nico." I said to her with a smile.

"No. They're- -they're not dead. They're...they're gone." She said to us, that meant that Alex was gone. Our friend was gone. Never to be seen again.
