It had been a while and Molly still hadn't exited the building. "She's been inside way too long." Nico said to us, I looked at the building.

"So what do we do?" I asked them all, I had no idea.

"Ok, so we're going in, right?" Gert asked us, I reached into my bag and got my water out and started to drink it.

"If we go back in, we gotta be ready to fight." Alex said to us, I was ready to fight if we had to.

"I don't know." Nico said to us, what didn't she know.

"What do you mean, you don't know? That's Molly." Gert said to her, we all knew who it was. But I might not be safe.

"No offense, but the people who have no powers are the ones calling the shots." Nico said to her, she was right.

"I agree with Nico, only Nico and I should be calling the shots at this time. We're the ones with powers." I said to them all, if Gert didn't like that then though shit.

"I can mind-control a dinosaur. That sounds like a power to me." Gert said to us, I didn't see Lace around.

"And how does that help us in this moment?" Nico asked her, it didn't.

"Speaking as someone with an above-average range of power, I say we can beat their asses." Chase said to us, I agreed with that.

"What the hell is going on?" Livvie asked, I watched where these men were going. I saw the car they were headed to and decided to mess with their car a little bit.

"There may have been some things I didn't tell you about us." Alex said to her probably a lot.

"Yeah, no shit. And did you say 'dinosaur'?" Livvie asked, I couldn't tell if she was scared at the fact that we had a dinosaur or not.

"I'll explain later. But right now, we have to save Molly." Alex said as we watched Molly get dragged out the building.

"Get off me!" She said to him, why wasn't she using her strength.

"That's AWOL. Tamar warned me about him. This isn't good." Livvie said to us, this was bad then. Very bad.

"What if they lock her up? What if they feed her lies and they brainwash her? What if she gets Stockholm Syndrome?" Gert asked, I looked at them.

"Slow down. She hasn't gone Patty Hearst yet." Nico said, I looked at them all again.

"What if I get caught as well, I can go with her and make sure she's safe." I said to them all, they all looked at me.

"That's too dangerous." Chase said to me, I looked at Nico.

"She has a point. With the two of them they'll be more powerful and have a better chance of getting free." Nico said, I started walking forwards.

"Hey, assholes. Are you looking for me as well?" I asked them, I saw guards come at me. They tackled me and put me in the same car as Molly. Someone was sat next to her, we couldn't talk. Or even whisper. Once we got to our location we were both sat on chairs.

"Shouldn't we be in a police station?" Molly asked him, I looked around.

"Yeah, this place doesn't seem so legal." I said to them all.

"You where you're supposed to be. In the Black Box. Made for people like you who can't mind their business." AWOL said to us, I went to move my hand but I forgot it was chained.

"Oh, so you're a crooked cop." Molly said to him, I looked around the warehouse.

"Well he's clearly not a normal cop." I said making him chuckle.

"Everything's black and white with you kids. Look, I don't make the rules, I just enforce 'em. Shit, you're lucky they sent me." He said to us, I'd hate to see the others they wanted to send.
"Lucky? You tased me." Molly said to him.

"And you tackled me." I told him.

"My boss Flores woulda shot you." He said to us, Molly and I shared a look.

"So you're one of Flores' little bitches." Molly said to him making me smile.

"We've got a little bitch boy here." I said loudly with a smile. He came over to us.

"I'm no one's...bitch." He said to us.

"Sure you're not." I said to him while looking at Molly.

"You sure about that?" Molly asked making him chuckle again.

"You know what? I like you two. You're both kind of tough for little girls." AWOL said before someone entered the room.

"Is this the guy who's bitch you are?" I asked him with a smile. The guy looked back.

"You can go. I'll take it from here." He said to AWOL, I didn't like this guy.

"You sure? They're strong, man. Took that Taser like a 400-pound grizzly bear and the other she took three to tackling her like an NFL player." AWOL said to him.

"They're also fourteen and seventeen years old." The older guy said to us.

"Almost fifteen." Molly said to him.

"And I'm actually eighteen asshole." I said to him, while shaking my head.

"Besides...Ms. Hernandez and I, we got history. I'm an old friend or her parents'- -May they Rest In Peace. They're harmless. Go home." The guy told AWOL and he left. The other guy brought a chair to us. Flores sighed. "You do your realize your parents are worried sick?" He said while look at us, I didn't care.

"You said it yourself. My parents are dead." Molly said to him, I looked at him.

"And I couldn't care about how my parents are." I said to him, it was hard to be comfortable in this chair.

"Let me get you both home. You and your friends. You can trust me." Flores said to us, I looked around.

"Sorry, my trust has to be brought." I said to him, how could I trust him. He kidnapped us.

"Not happening. You're just a flunky, do-boy. PRIDE owns you." Molly said to him, I saw where she was going with this.

"And without them, you'd be a nobody. Oh, wait. You already are." I said to him before smiling. He stood up.

"Where are your goddamn friends?" He asked us, as if I was telling.

"I don't know, man. I mean, still at the hotel, reporting a kidnapping to the actual cops, eating pizza, maybe. It's kind of your job to find out." Molly said to him.

"Your the cop, don't make us tell you how to do your job. Because surely you should know where to look." I said to him before crossing my leg over the other.

"There's nothing worse than hurting kids to get information. But I will." He said to us as he walked over to a shelf, when he turned around he had knife. He laughed at us. "Oh, you won't be smiling for long." He said to us, I couldn't let the smile go. We were more powerful than a knife.

"Wanna put money on that? We can use the cash." Molly said to him, we both then broke out of our handcuffs. I may or may not have got carried away and shattered all the glass as we stood up. Molly and I both showed him who he was really in charge before the others came into the unit.

"Molly, put the corrupt law enforcement officer down. It's not worth it." Gert said to Molly.

"Sure." She said before dropping him. I then created the illusion of him in a cage. Except it would feel real for him.

"Told you they'd be fine." Nico said to us, I saw Chase look at me.

"Y/n, take him out the cage. He's going in one soon." Chase said to me with a smile.

"Fine." I said before taking the cage away. Molly and I then walked over him.

"Sorry to worry you guys. Who's hungry?" Molly asked before we walked away.

"Molly, that was fun. We should get kidnapped more often." I said with a smile, she smiled back at me.

"We really should." She said to me making me smile. We then went off to get food. It went silent for a little bit. "You know what? I almost forgot. That Flores guy, he took my phone." Molly said to us, my phone was in my bag that I left with Chase. I reached and got it out.

"Then he's tracking us. That's right out of the Minoru handbook." Nico said to us, we needed new burners now.

"You know what that means. Everybody toss your burners." Alex said and we all threw them out the window. "Problem solved." Alex said to us.

"Just one question." Karolina said to us, I was hoping there wouldn't be more than one.

"You mean, like, why did we just treat the streets of our beloved city like a Taiwanese landfill?" Gert asked, I don't think that was the question Karolina was thinking of.

"Who's this?" Karolina asked Livvie.

"I'm Livvie. Who are you? Do you have a bionic dinosaur too?" Livvie asked, she was a alien.

"The dinosaur isn't bionic." Chase said to Livvie, the dinosaur was a dinosaur.

"I'm Karolina." She said to her.

"That's my friend Livvie. She's coming with us tonight." Alex said to us, was she now?

"I am?" She asked him, she wasn't in on it too.

"Thanks for making the decision for all of us." Chase said to him, Alex was always like that now. I hated it.

"Including me." Livvie said to him.

"I'm sorry, I just meant that you should come over tonight, and then we can decide what we're gonna do in the morning. That's...if you wanted to sleep over." He said to her, why was this kind of cute to watch.

"Do you want me to?" She asked him with a smile.

"If you want to." He said to her, I could hear the smile in his tone.

"That was romcom cute, but can we figure out where we're going?" Gert asked I wish we could.

"Gert, take her home. We can't afford any more risks." Nico said to us, why wasn't she one of us yet.

"No, Gert, we're going to the hostel. Take a right." Alex said, now there was going to be an argument.

"Bad idea. It's not safe." Nico said to her.

"This is stupid. Livvie has more than proven herself to us." Molly said to Nico.

"Exactly, she deserves to stay." I said to her.

"I have to pee, and we're running out of gas. We're going home." Gert said before driving us home. When we arrived it felt nice to be back.

"Welcome, Livvie. Make yourself at home." Karolina said as we all started going upstairs.

"Oh, and if you're hungry, we're really good at dumpster diving." Molly said, I went straight up into Chase and I's room. He shut the door behind us.

"I'm so glad your safe." He said while pulling me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around him.

"Well, are you forgetting how tough I am." I said to him with a smile, he then caught on to the fact that I was sober.

"How did you get sobered up so quickly?" He asked me, I looked at him.

"I think it has to do with what my parents injected me with the other night." I said to him with a smile, he kissed me.

"We'll whatever caused it I'm just glad that you're conscious to make decisions again. Hopefully ones that don't involve you being kidnapped again." He said to me with a smile.

"Now why would I let my fiancé go through all that worry again." I said to him before resting my head on his chest.

"I see you remembered that." He said to me before we started swaying to an imaginary song.

"How could I forget?" I asked him while putting my head on his shoulder.

"I don't know. But that reminds me. When we first moved in I found a ring in one of the drawers. It probably won't fit but when we're out of this mess. We can get it resized." He said to me, I looked up at him. When it got to the morning I woke up in Chase's arms. I smiled at the sight. I rolled back over and managed to fall asleep again. I felt a kiss on my shoulder after a while. I woke up a little bit later after that and changed. I walked downstairs and saw Nico.

"How'd you sleep after yesterday?" She asked me as I got breakfast.

"I slept fine. I didn't get to tell you yesterday but k have some good news." I said to her, I sat opposite her.

"Now, you have to tell me." She said and I looked at her.

"Chase and I got engaged." I said to her she smiled at me.

"I'm happy for you, you've deserves happiness after everything." She said to me, I took her hand.

"And you deserve happiness as well. You're my best friend and I've seen how much shit you've gone through and let me tell you deserve happiness more that I do." I said to her, I spoke with her for a few more minutes before heading upstairs to where we'd all be told that we were going out.

"Oh my God, it smells so good. Great place, Livvie." Molly said, I was looking forward to having some actual food for a change.

"Oh, it was Alex's choice, but thanks." Livvie said to her, this place was going to be good.

"Yeah, it's apparently very popular here, so..." Alex said to us, it seemed like it.

"Can we sit anywhere?" Gert asked as we looked around.

"Yeah, just grab a table." Livvie said to us, I was glad about that.

"Yo, AWOL, what's up?" I heard someone say, I instantly grabbed Chase's arm.

"Those were the guys who grabbed us. What are they doing here?" Molly asked, I didn't know but I also didn't like it.

"Come on, man. Yo, Sharon. What's the deal? Where's my food at?" He asked the woman the counter.

"It's not safe here." I said to them all,

"Who knew dirty cops liked to eat clean?" Gert asked, Chase looked at Alex.

"Wilder. This is not a coincidence." Chase said to us, god I hated Alex sometimes.

"You tricked us." Nico said to him.

"Ok, we're not here just for the food." Alex said to her.

"That's just great." I said to him while rolling my eyes.

"I told you they wouldn't like it." Livvie said to him, so she knew and didn't tell us.

"No, we don't. Like what, exactly?" Chase said before looking at Livvie.

"Alex's small-fish-eats-big-fish plan." Livvie said to us, for Christ sakes he needed help.

"AWOL is your idea of a small fish?" Karolina said to him.

"He's more of the big fish." I said to them all.

"Small fish can be deadly. There's the puffer fish, which is small but very dangerous." Gert said to us, I didn't need a lesson in aquatic animals.

"Don't forget about stingrays. They're vicious." Karolina said to us all.

"And even jellyfish, those things can be lethal." I said to everyone.

"Is everyone girl a frickin' marine biologist? I got this, ok?" Alex said before walking over to AWOL.

"He don't got this." I said to us all.

"It's always something. It's always something. Hit and ready, right. It needs to be. Shit." AWOL said, I felt bad for the woman.

"Hey, you got a minute?" Alex asked him making him chuckle.

"Anyways, like I said, this thing better be good- -" AWOL said to the cashier. Completely ignoring Alex.

"Once you're done harassing the cashier, I wanna talk to you. All right? One on one, man to man." Alex said, if I was him I would've gone for a different use of words.

"Ahh. Man to man! Get up and get outta here, kid. Come on." AWOL said before Alex moved his food. "Did you just touch my food? Yo! Did this kid just touch my curried goat?" AWOL asked his minions.

"Looks like it." One of them answered.

"Yo, tell me that you did not just touch...my God. Damned. Curried. Goat!" He shouted at Alex, it was just food man. Jesus.

"Didn't realize curried goat was such a big deal. But I got an offer for you that's gonna make you forget all about lunch." Alex said, this was getting good now.

"Oh, really? And who the hell are you to be offering me anything?" AWOL asked, he seriously didn't know who Wilder was.

"I'm the guy that knows you framed Darius Davis for murder." Alex said to him, it went silent for a second.

"You just messed up. Drop the gate! Everybody out. Now. We have a situation with fugitives who are armed and dangerous. Go! Come on, come on, come on!" AWOL shouted this was just what I wanted.

"Get out!" Another one of AWOL's minions said.

"Let's go! Everybody clear out! Cross the street!" AWOL shouted before the guard came across the window. I wasn't scared, even if he was waving a gun at us.

"Y'all them hotel kids, huh? You shoulda bailed with everyone else. Mitch. On your knees, hands behind your head." AWOL said as Mitch drew a gun on us, we all got on ours knees.

"Great plan, Wilder." Chase said to him.

"Thanks for getting us killed." I said to him sarcastically.

"Down!" AWOL shouted, this was the worst situation to be in.

"Let me talk to you for two minutes. Ok? I'm not- -we aren't the enemy." Alex said to him, our parents were.

"You talk too much." AWOL said, at least someone said it.

"I was just trying to get your attention." Alex said to him, I'm the worst way.

"And now you got it. Come on. I could kill everyone in here right now...and get away with it. You know that, right? Huh?" He asked, I saw Nico stand up in the corner of my eye. Staff in hand.

"Pause." Nico said before they paused, only their eyes could move.

"After everything we've been through, you would think it wouldn't be that big if a deal, but I did not like having a gun held to my head." Chase said to us as we got outside.

"Alex, I know what happened with Darius was awful, but getting mixed up with these guys is not gonna fix it." Karolina said to us, we just had to take them down on our own accord.

"Agree. No more fishing, ok? Alex, we're dropping this. We'll take down our parents another way." Nico said, or we could kill them.

"Or...maybe we just move on. We let it all go. We focus on the future." Chase said to us, I liked the sound of that.

"Alex." Gert said to him.

"Yeah. I'll take Livvie home." Alex said to us before they walked away.

"I can't wait to move on with life without thinking about our parents." I said to them all. It was going to be bliss. Once we got home I could finally relax. Or so I thought, Lace was going off on one.

"We definitely left her alone for too long today. She is not happy." Chase said to us, she was kinda terrifying like this.

"She's just not feeling well. She would never hurt us, right, Lacey?" Gert asked before Lace roared at her. "Oh, my- -ok. Sometimes I'm wrong." Gert said to us, I guess she was.

"Are these your emotions, or Old Lace's?" Nico asked her, maybe both of them should calm down.

"I don't know." Gert said before Lace shrieked.

"But this is your superpower, Gert. Old Lave always listens to you." Karolina said to her, or maybe she wouldn't today.

"What's going on?" Molly asked us.

"I don't know. It's like our connection's gone. It's like- -it's like the polarity's been switched." Gert said before Lace roared again. There had to be a way to sort these out.

"If she doesn't calm soon, people could hear her. We've got to figure out a way to calm her down." I said to Gert, I think she was working on that but I didn't feel safe with a dinosaur like this. Once she calm down we all headed to bed. In the morning we had a surprise visit from Livvie. She came with bad news.

"Sorry to say this, but I know you guys rely on each other, and I think it's important for you to know the truth. I'm telling you, he sold us out. He made a deal with AWOL." Livvie said to us, that was just the worst thing ever. How could he sell us out like that? We all started talking over the top of each other.

"You gotta be kidding." Chase said to us, I don't think she was. I saw Wilder walking over to us.

"And that's not even half of it." She said to us, what was the other half.

"Livvie. What are you doing here?" He asked her, I thought it was obvious.

"Letting everyone know that you're a liar, who went behind our backs and made a deal with AWOL, all because you hate your parents." Livvie said to him, I hated our parents but I would never make a deal with AWOL.

"You ratted me out?" Alex asked her, she had to.

"You're putting all of us in danger." She said to him.

"How could you, Alex?" Karolina said to him.

"Putting us all in danger because your mad." I said to him before looking away.

"What we're you thinking?" Nico said to him.

"He wasn't." Chase said to us.

"Or I'm thinking so many moves ahead that you can't even keep up. I'm meeting with AWOL today, and he's giving me everything we need to ruin PRIDE. Then we take it to a guy he knows at City Hall, someone that Flores can't get to." Alex said to us, now this was just sounding suspicious.

"'A guy he knows'? So you know how IDTV that sounds?" Gert said to him, I had no idea what that means but I agree.

"How could you be this gullible?" Karolina asked him, he was being selfish.

"What other choice do we have?! We have to find a way to get over PRIDE's head!" He shouted at us, or we could go around it another way.

"So you're gonna let that asshole AWOL and his entire squad of assholes go free?" Molly shouted at him, I think he was.

"Look...my strategy has never changed. Ok, I said I'm taking down PRIDE, so I'm taking down PRIDE." He said to us, what about us.

"And what about us?" I asked him, how selfish could he get.

"You're taking down PRIDE? Who are you right now?" Nico asked him, he definitely wasn't Alex.

"There's no 'I' in team, Alex. Coach Alphona told me that one." Chase said, we were all impressed that he knew that.

"You made a deal with a criminal, Alex. Which is exactly what- -what happened to- -what happened to our parents, which is- -which is- -which is bad, is the point that I'm trying to make. My tongue feels weird." Gert said to us, we were becoming like our parents. Chase stood up.

"Great job, Wilder. She's already under enough stress with what's going on with Old Lace." Chase said to us all.

"What's going on with Old Lace?" Alex asked, I forgot he was too busy with AWOL to care.

"She's sleeping finally, but she's been freaking out. And you'd know if you were thinking of anyone else other than yourself." Nico said to him, we were all pissed at him.

"When the old Alex comes back let us know. Because this isn't him at all." I said to him, I really hated him at this moment.

"I never thought I'd say this to you of all people, but he smart. You're still a TARDIS-loving dork who can't see without his glasses. You're not some gangsta." Chase said to him, since when did Chase know about Doctor Who.

"What about what you've done?! Stole a car. We robbed our school. Some of you have done a lot worse than that. You know what? You're all a bunch of hypocrites." Alex said before the walking away. Maybe we were but we'd never make a deal with a criminal. This whole thing could backfire. We could die. When it got to later that night I changed before creating illusions. I wanted to see what I could create. When I realized I could create other people who were only temporary I realized that I could cause more harm than good.
