Walking and running was our new life now. We were still America's Most Wanted and nothing would be able to change that. It had been a day since we were on the run. It was the morning and we were currently chasing someone.

"Stop, please!" Chase shouted at the man we were running after.

"Stop!" I shouted at him.

"Give those back!" Alex shouted, the guy we were after was on a bike. So we stood no chance. What made it worse was I was weak.

"How did he even get them?" Karolina asked, I had no idea. I was trying to gain some energy.

"Chase was supposed to be in lookout!" Molly shouted, he hadn't done a good job at that.

"Yeah, I only dozed off for like, five minutes." Chase said back, a lot could happen in five minutes.

"Gert, hurry!" Nico shouted at her, I was starting to feel weird.

"Yeah, you're not the one pushing the dinosaur in the shopping cart." Gert said back before the dinosaur growled and roared.

"Guys, you might have to go on without me." I shouted at them before we came to a stop. I grabbed onto Chase's shoulder so that I wouldn't fall. The guy laughed before going back down the hill. You had to be kidding me. He then went up the bank and went uphill again. We then had to start running again. I needed to hibernate after this. He then cycled across street.

"Shit. If my dad were here, he'd kill me." Chase said to us as we stopped again.

"But he's not, so he can't." I said to him between breaths.

"Again?" Alex asked us.

"Alex, we gotta stop him." Chase said to him. I leaned onto Chase.

"Guys!" Gert shouted at us.

"Get away from the street." Molly said, that's when I realized there was probably a camera here.

"Camera. It's not safe." Karolina said as she pulled Chase away and he looked directly at it. We then rejoined the others.

"Chase, I'm so low on energy." I said to him while holding onto his arm. He then took his backpack off and gave it to me. "What are you doing?" I asked him confusedly.

"I'll carry you. Get on my back." He said to me with a smile. I was hesitant but I did. I then rested my head on his shoulder.

"Thank you, for doing this." I said to him, he smiled back at me.

"Anytime." He said to me. "That guy got away with military-grade gauntlets." Chase said as we rejoined the group. If only we could get them back.

"I thought you said they don't work." Molly said, they did though.

"With...tinkering." He said before he placed me on the ground. He then sat beside me.

"Wait, did he take anything else? Alex, you still have the money?" Nico asked, he couldn't have stolen anything from me.

"Please. Think I'd allow myself to get robbed blind like Chase?" He asked us, making Chase shake his hard. "Oh, no, no, no, no." He said while patting his pockets. And the money was gone. "It's gone." He said to us, that was just great.

"Way to go, Wilder." Chase said to him, why did they have to fight again.

"You were supposed to be on lookout." Alex said to us, was it really that bad that he fell asleep.

"Well, what are we supposed to do now? Someone might have seen us." Karolina said to us, one thing we weren't doing was handing ourselves in.

"I'm so hungry I can't think." Molly said to us, I was having the same issue.

"Except we have no money." Gert said to us, we really needed it.

"Then we find somewhere that we can eat for free." Alex said to us.

"Or we could do some pickpocketing." I said to them, I immediately got looks from everyone. "I guess not but at least we'd have money." I said to them. I was still going to do it anyway.

"Whatever we do, we gotta do it quick, guys. We gotta go." Karolina said to us, that was true. I didn't really want to be dying of starvation.

"We're not going anywhere. This wheel's busted." Gert said to us and looks like we were doomed.

"I got it." Molly said before picking it, well at least one of us did.

"Man, we suck at being runaways." Nico said to us as we started walking again.

"The suckest." I said to her with a laugh. We were headed for a free kitchen but we all had hoods up or hats on so we wouldn't get seen.

"Ok, I don't see any cameras or cops." Alex said to us, I smelt the food. Finally a nice meal.

"Just lots and lots of food." Molly said to us.

"I'm so hungry." I said while looking at everything.

"Hey, Old Lace is chilling in a Dumpster, though girlfriend's starting to an attitude." Gert said to us, weren't we all.

"I can relate." Nico said to us.

"Come on, let's go." Chase said before we entered. When we were being served I couldn't help but smile. "You've got to be kidding me." Chase said, I turned around to see that this was a PRIDE sponsored event.

"This place is paid for by our parents?" Karolina asked us.

"Kill me now." I said to them all.

"We can't eat that soup." Nico said to us, I sighed. I just needed something.

"Nico's right. It's PRIDE soup." Alex said to us. But it was still food.

"Soup is soup, and I'm starving." Molly said to us, I agree.

"If I don't get food soon, I'm gonna go crazy. So please can we just have the soup." I said to them all.

"Soup in and of itself has no inherent morality." Gert said to us, I had no idea what that meant. My brain was too tired to understand anything.

"Neither do our parents." Nico said to us, I guess it was a bad thing.

"Whether it's good soup or bad soup, it is hot soup, and we are starving." Karolina said to us, it was nice for her to agree with us.

"Can everyone stop saying 'soup'? Look, it's not like our parents are gonna be popping by. They just write checks. They don't give a shit about the homeless." Chase said to us, that was true. Let's just hope that they don't decide to give a shit for once.

"Ok, grab your food and sit at different tables. We might not be as noticeable if we split up." Alex said to us, I wasn't sitting alone. Not at all.

"No way. Strength in numbers." Nico said to us, I nodded.

"I agree with Nico." I said to them.

"Everyone just eat as fast as they can." Chase said to us, mine was going to be gone within a second.

"Won't be a problem." Molly said to us. We got our food and then sat down. We were all together.

"This is so good." Molly said as we were both eating away.

"You can say that again." I said to her before drinking my soup.

"Finish up. We should move." Nico said to us before I finished up my food.

"Already gone." I said to them all, I was starving.

"Where? Between PRIDE and the church, the streets aren't safe." Gert said to Nico, we truly had nowhere.

"We have to stay hidden." Karolina said to us but that was easier said then done.

"We need a tent." Molly said to us, if only we had the money.

"Which we can't buy since Alex lost the money." Chase said, I was thinking of just stealing some money. No one would ever know.

"Ok, forgetting for a moment that you were supposed to be on lookout. How about the fact that I got us the money to begin with? Ok? Maybe...you all could show a little gratitude." Alex said to us, it wasn't that hard to get money at the end of the day.

"Maybe if you told us where you got the money." Nico said to us, if he did all of our problems would be gone away.

"I can't, ok? It's for your protection." Alex said to us, enough of all this. Just tell us. That's what I wanted to say.

"Or yours. How do we know your parents don't give it to you?" Nico asked him, that was something I didn't think of.

"Yeah, how do we know that you're not secretly seeing them?" I asked, it was on my mind. He went silent.

"You think I'm a mole?" He asked, we all stared at him. Who knows.

"Nobody knows what to think, other than when Karolina was taken by Jonah you voted to leave her behind." Chase said to him, that was something I'll never get over.

"You are never gonna let that go, are you? Karolina, I was always gonna come back for you." Alex said to her, I wasn't going to believe that.

"I'm sure you had your reasons." Karolina said and they were probably terrible.

"I'm sure they had nothing to do with the fact that Karolina and Nico developed a certain chemistry." Gert said to her, it was probably out of jealousy thinking about it now.

"I was my aware of that at the time, ok? And I'm still trying process that information, actually. But thanks for bringing it up, though." Alex said to us, there wasn't really a lot to process.

"So, if you weren't motivated by jealousy, then what? You're just a terrible leader who makes bad decisions under pressure?" Chase asked him, I mean let's just face it Alex was a terrible leader.

"Welcome to lead anytime, Chase. But since you're incapable of coming up with an idea that doesn't suck, I'll handle it. Again." He said to Alex, I was just hoping this wouldn't lead up to an argument. "There's an encampment off the river east of the underpass that we stayed at last night. I'll meet you guys there." Alex said to us, know where the hell was he off to.

"Alex, where are you going?" Nico asked him, the guy had sketch written all over him.

"I told you, you have to trust me." Alex said to us.

"It's pretty hard to." I said to him. It was the truth.

"Thanks." Karolina said to him, when we were disposing of our plates the news caught our attention.

"I'm here at the home of Graciela Aguirre, a distant relative of Molly Hernandez, who was allegedly abducted from her home. Ms. Aguirre, any comment on the fact that Molly Hernandez was taken from your home by children of PRIDE?" The news reporter asked her, this wasn't looking good for us.

"Not sure where the idea that Molly was abducted came from. I never reported it. And it's not the children of PRIDE the media should be looking into. It's their parents." Graciela said to her, that was right. Our parents where the source of every issue.

"The leaders of PRIDE are highly accomplished professionals, not to mention what their philanthropy has done for the city." The reporter said and what happened to the damage that they were going to cause.

"Trust me...I've seen proof." Graciela said, that's where she lost me a little.

"What-what proof is she talking about?" Nico asked, what did she know that we didn't.

"I may have sent Graciela the VHS tape my parents made me, the one with warning about California breaking off into the ocean. If something happened to us, someone should know the truth." Molly said to her as we were walking away. Now she was at risk as well.

"Yeah, and now she does, but she's in danger. She said it on TV." Gert said to her, now Graciela was in danger.

"Yeah. She knows all about a conspiracy to cause an earthquake, but...she has no idea about Jonah." Chase said to us, and hopefully she never founds out.

"And that our parents ares killers." Nico said to us. She truly wasn't safe.

"We have to wan her." Molly said before we left to go and find Graciela at her house.

"I hope we get there in time." I said to them all. All I know is I was looking forwards to finding somewhere to live. I know that's not what's important now but e couldn't just live on the streets. I was still curious to know where Alex went but at the same time I didn't care. And before you ask I was getting money on our little trip to Graciela's. I was stealing for people on the streets. No one expected a thing. We had to dodge helicopters on the way which made everything worse.

"So how do we get to Graciela's? She lives, like, 20 miles away." Molly said to us, walking was our only option.

"Uh, yeah. Remember when life was so easy, like, 48 hours ago when we all had cell phones and Lyft accounts?" Gert asked us, how had it only been 2 days. It's felt like a year.

"Do payphones still exist?" Chase answered, I'd seen one on our walk.

"Even if they did, they require payment." Nico said to us.

"And I only have dollar bills." I said to them, so it wouldn't be any use for pay phones.

"We could take the Metrolink." Molly said to us, that wasn't a smart idea.

"Public transportation?" Chase asked her, it was a terrible idea.

"Does anybody even know how to do that?" Gert asked, I did.

"I do. That's how I got to school from Graciela's. I still have my card. You take the purple line to the red line, then you transfer to the Yellow line, then there's another Red one- -the last two are buses, not trains. Only we would do it backwards, because we're going the opposite direction. But there's one problem." Molly said to us, I could think of more than one problem.

"Only one?" Karolina asked her.

"The train runs only during rush hour." Molly said to us, we couldn't wait for hours.

"Which is hours from now." Chase said to her, we only had one option.

"And too late for Graciela. Of course, the d-bag who owns that car could go wherever he wants." Nico said while looking ahead. That's when I realized we could steal a car.

"Yes. Yes...he can." Gert said while looking at Chase. She then pulled his blazer that he had from prom out of his bag. Karolina then took a jacket and they both went to steal the car.

"Babe, I was not flirting with that girl." Chase said to Karolina, it was all part of the plan.

"Babe, you so were. You're a giant dick." Karolina said to him.

"No, I'm not. I was being nice! That's the opposite of a giant dick. Keys." Chase said before the valet driver handed Chase the keys.

"Oh, yeah. We're you being nice when you banged my roommate? Thats right. You're a giant dick." Karolina said before they both got in the car. They then drove off a little bit before we all got in. Then we were off to Graciela's house. We could only hope we got there in time. When we got there, something felt off.

"Molly. Wait, what if our parents are in there?" Gert asked but it didn't stop Molly from running to the doorstep and ringing the bell.

"Graciela?" Molly asked before banging on the door. "Graciela? Graciela! Graciela, ¡háblame Por favor!" Molly shouted.

"Maybe she got smart and left." Chase said to us.

"I have a bad feeling about this." I said to him, something didn't feel right. Nico was looking in the window. By Nico's reaction. She was gone. And not like that. Molly then opened the door and went inside. We went in behind her. And there she was on the floor, dead.

"No." Molly said while sobbing.

"She's dead." Gert said to us, no shit.

"There's no sign of a struggle. Maybe she couldn't take the stress and had a heart attack?" Chase asked as Nico and I were looking around.

"That's what they want people to believe. Our parents staged this. We must have just missed them." Nico said while standing up. Gert then walked over to Molly and I went over to Chase.

"Th- -that's a body. I ca- - I can't. I can't." Gert said before hyperventilating, Karolina started to calm her down. It wasn't the first body I'd seen and it wouldn't be the last. Chase went over to Molly.

"She didn't do anything wrong." Molly said to Chase. This was heartbreaking, it reminded me of when I found my brother.

"I know, Mols. We gotta go." Chase said to her, we had no choice.

"We can't just leave her. We have to call the police!" Molly said to us, someone was probably already coming.

"I'm sure Flores is on his way. Our parents owns the police, remember?" Nico said before we heard sirens approaching.

"If we don't go know, we're going to be caught." I said to them all, we couldn't have that.

"Molly?" Karolina asked her. I saw Nico rifling through Graciela's bag.

"Seriously? You're robbing a dead person?" Chase asked her, what other options did we have.

"Look, I know it's harsh...but this is our reality now." Nico said before we both left. Everyone then followed behind us. I couldn't imagine what Molly was going through. When it got to nighttime we'd managed to find the place Alex wanted us to go.

"This is where Alex told us to...meet him." Gert asked as we saw the camp we might be calling home.

"If all these people can survive out here, so can we." Chase said to us, that was the right mindset to have.

"How's Old Lace holding up?" Karolina asked Gert, that was gonna be hard to keep quiet.

"She's great. She's really settling in. She's actually quite the Dumpster connoisseur, and if I'm calm, then she's calm." Gert told us, if she was calm then I was the president,

"You don't seem calm." Chase said to her.

"So, that means she's not calm." I said to Gert.

"That's a really helpful thing to say to someone while they're trying to be chill so that their psychically-linked dinosaur doesn't freak out. Which would be so much easier is I had my meds, but they're in my room, which is next to my parents' room, who, just if we need a little reminder, tend to murder people." Gert said to us, she need to calm down.

"So what you're saying is you're not calm? Um, there's a whole tone I'm trying to follow." Chase said to her, she wasn't calm.

"I can't believe we left Graciela. She at least deserved a funeral." Molly said to us. We would avenge her.

"She's gonna get one." Nico said to her.

"And we will always make sure that our parents get what they deserve." I said to her while taking her hand and holding it.

"Come on." Chase said as we began walking. I held Chase's hand with my free hand. We walked to a quiet part and set something up for Graciela.

"It's Wiccan tradition. The candle can be adorned with anything that resonates with the energy of the deceased. Then we add our own offerings." Nico said as a train went past beside us, we all left an offering to Graciela. I left one of the necklaces I had on. "As we all come from the goddess...to experience life in death...so shall we return to her to experience peace." Nico said before other people started leaving offerings. People we didn't know, a community together as one. "By the element of Earth...you were grounded in the physical world. By the element of Air...you were open to knowledge and communication. By the element of Fire, you were inspired with passion. By the element of water, you could dream your dreams. So now, by Earth, by Air, by Fire, by Water...shall you pass to the next stage of your existence." Nico said before getting next to Molly and whispering to her. "Molly...you want to say something?" She asked her and she nodded. They both stood up.

"I didn't really get a chance to know her that well, but she was kind to me...and she gave me a chance to see my parents again, if only for...a little while. She was the last blood relative I had...and now she's gone. Everything's been taken away from me. I have no one." Molly said, we weren't leaving anytime soon.

"You have us." Nico said to her.

"And we will never been taken away from you." I said to her, I was holding in tears.

"Merry we meet, and merry we part, until we meet again." Nico said before blowing out the candle. Afterwards we all stayed with Molly before Chase and I went off together.

"You know, I'm scared. Everyday and every minute I'm terrified that somethings going to happen to one of us." I said to him as we were sat down somewhere.

"But nothing will. I know that I can't make you feel as safe as what I should be able to but I'm still willing to try. For now, you just have to believe me that everything will be ok." Chase said as he pulled me into him.

"But I can't, you know what happened to Graciela, that could be one of us next and I don't think our parents would care if it was us or not." I said to him, I couldn't help but cry a little bit.

"And if it is one us, I will make sure that it would be me instead of you." He said to me, that definitely wasn't helping me at all. We just stayed like this, him holding me and me trying to process everything. After a few minutes we joined the group.

"Found you guys. I, uh, got us some tents, sleeping bags, couple of cheap burner phones." Alex said to us, how did he get the money for all of this.

"You brought all of this?" Nico asked him, brought or gifted?

"Uh, yes. Well, some of it was on sale, but, yes." He said to us before we took some of the bags. "Ok. You're welcome." He said as we left. We started setting them. Chase went to go and talk with him. Chase then came over to me.

"Can we share a tent? I do think I'd feel safe otherwise." I said to him, he took my hand and held it.

"Anything to make you sleep better at night." He said to me before kissing me softly. I smiled at him. When it got to the morning I was surprised that I actually managed to fall asleep. Chase had his arms around me and it made me feel safe. We were woken up by a loud noise.

"Nothing good makes that sound." Karolina said as we were all getting out of our separate tents.

"I know what it is." Chase said to us, it was too early for me to recognize anything.

"Let's go!" Gert said to us.

"It's too early for this." I said as I got out the tent. Once I stood up I had a little stretch.

"Do you guys hear that?" Molly asked after unzipping her tent.

"Yeah, come on!" Nico said to her before we started running towards the sound was coming from.

"Why are we running toward the explosions?" Alex asked as he ran behind us. Everyone must be confused about what was happening.

"Mike On A Bike's lost it!" A guy shouted from behind us. We heard the Fistigons fire again.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Don't point those at anything living." Chase said to him, this must've been Mike.

"Especially us!" Molly shouted at him.

"What the hell are these things?" Mike asked us.

"It's hard to explain, but we tried to warn you." Chase said to him.

"He's scared. It's okay. We can help you." Karolina said to him, without us helping. He could get into serious danger.

"Yeah, just be still. We'll come to you." Nico said before the Fistigons started charging up.

"Oh, no, I'm keepin' these." Mike said before he started knocking things over with them.

"No, no! Hey! Don't!" Chase said to him as he pointed them at us.

"Aah!" Karolina got out.

"Don't shoot!" Nico said to him as he cycled by.

"Holy shit." Gert got out and Mike just laughed. "His nickname is 'Mike On A Bike.'" Gert said to us, it wasn't really creative.

"Yeah? Well, mine is 'Chase.'" Chase said before getting a bike.

"Chase, babe, I love you but never say that again." I said to him, I've never wanted to not be seen with him more.

"That's not technically a nick- -never mind." Gert said before Chase started Chasing Mike on a bike. We all then got on bikes and started going after Mike and now Chase.

"Come on! Faster!" Chase shouted, I was peddling as quick as I could.

"He's heading up the hill!" Karolina shouted at us, we had no chance.

"I can't close in." Chase said to us, this was going to be impossible.

"We gotta find another way." Alex said to us.

"I can't focus on him, he's moving too much." I said to them, yet again I couldn't use my powers.

"Come find me. I need you." Gert said before whistling, Old Lace was coming to our aid. Hopefully.

"What is she doing?" Chase asked, calling us help. Mike then did a finger wave at us. Then Old Lace attacked.

"'You know how to whistle, don't ya? Just put your lips together and blow.'" Gert said to us, none of us needed a lesson.

"You can educate me later." Chase said to her before we all started running to Mike and Old Lace.

"Don't shoot her! Old Lace, get back!" Gert shouted, Mike aimed the Fistigons and I got down to the ground just in case. He fled and we all running after him again.

"Leave me alone! Get away from me!" He shouted at us, but we wouldn't that was Chase's property. I saw Karolina fall.

"Aah!" She shouted as she felt through the ground.

"Karolina!" Nico shouted down.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as I looked down.

"I'm fine." She said back.

"I got 'em! What are you guys doin'?" Chase asked as he came back. Karolina was glowing.

"Guys! I found something." Karolina said up to us.

"Come in! Over here! Molly, you find anything?" Gert asked, Molly and I went over to a grate.

"Guys!" She shouted at them.

"What is this place?" Chase asked before Molly and I started removing the grate. She then tossed it to the side.

"Come on, girls!" Gert shouted before we entered. I think that this was our new home. When we walked inside it was a mansion. It had just been abandoned.

"Whoa! Careful! Ok? It might not be safe." Alex said as Chase and I started going upstairs.

"Something tells me it is. That we are." Nico said to us.

"Oh- -Girl, stay. It's better if we test the stairs without a dinosaur." Gert said to her.

"Now, I can finally feel safe. At last." I said to Chase as we both went upstairs. We then started looking around and saw that there was numerous bedrooms.

"We should have this one." Chase said to me and I smiled.

"It's nice in here and it's not too big and not too small." I said to him with a smile, we then left the room to join Gert.

"Guys, it's amazing up here." Gert said down to them.

"Except for the bathroom, which is pretty gross. There's also no power or water." Chase said to them.

"But that's manageable." I said to them, we just had to come up with something.

"Which would explain said grossness. Also, I think we have raccoons." Gert said but we just have to scare them off.

"Sounds great." Karolina said while chuckling.

"Sounds...like home." Nico said to us, I smiled.

"Well, come on, but I just bought all the tents. Kidding, kidding." Alex said to us, he definitely wasn't kidding.

"Right." Karolina said yo him.

"Good one." Nico said to him.

"I'm dying of laughter." I said to him with a lot of sarcasm.

"Where is your tent? Just put it down here if you want." Karolina said to him making me laugh. I liked this place it was home now. When it got the morning, I'd actually slept comfortably. Before I fell sleep last night, I realized my powers did more then just move things, I could create things. Illusions if you must. When I was about to tell Chase that's when the earthquake hit. But not the one we had to stop.
