Chapter Three - Atlas
After a long journey, Petro finally makes it to the city of Atlas on board an airship. As he exited the airship, he saw a large metropolitan city which bore a strong resemblance to Coruscant.
Petro: Okay Princess....where are you?
Petro then closed his eyes and reached out to the Force. He tried to sense Weiss's presence among the countless people living in Atlas. Luckily for Petro, he was able to sense Weiss nearby. He looked around and saw her exiting a separate airship.
Petro: Heh. Here we go.
Petro then approached Weiss as she was getting ready to board a limo.
Petro: Going somewhere, Princess?
Weiss: Petro? What in Oum are you doing here in Atlas?
Petro: I should be asking you the same thing, Princess. Why did you bail out of Vale? Why did you leave Team RWBY?
Weiss: There is no Team RWBY. Ozpin made a mistake.
Petro: I'm seriously not in the mood for this crap right now. I've come a long way to find you.
Weiss: And why have you done that?
Petro: To talk some sense into you. Something is happening behind the scenes. Something terrible.
Without giving any thought, Weiss turned her back on Petro ad began to walk away. Petro quickly becomes annoyed and grabs Weiss's shoulder.
Petro: Did you not hear a word of what I just said?! All of Remnant is in danger! Don't you give a damn?!
Weiss: The last thing I want to hear is a lecture from a hoodlum like you!
Petro: Are you really that selfish?! All of Remnant is in danger and you're hiding like a scared little girl!
Weiss: I don't have to listen to this!
Petro: You know I'm right, Princess! Think about what's going on! Beacon was only the beginning! Hiding won't do you any good!
The mutual frustration between the two began to take hold. Petro was frustrated by Weiss's indifference to the threat at hand while Weiss was frustrated by Petro's stubbornness.
Weiss: I do not have time for this. I have more important matters to attend to.
Weiss then boards the limo and drives away. Petro was tempted to use the Force to keep the car from leaving, but Petro restrained himself. He watched with frustration as the limo drove away.
Petro: This conversation isn't over, Princess. Not by a long shot.
With his first attempt to swaying Weiss being a clear failure, Petro was even more determined to talk some sense into Weiss. Petro needed to rethink his strategy. Petro was not about to let Weiss get the better of him. Meanwhile at the Schnee Manor, Jacques Schnee was contacted by Darth Jadus. Jacques closes the door to his office and locks it. He then shuts the blinds of his windows. Once he took the precautions, he turns on the intercom as the holoprojection of Darth Jadus stands before him.
Darth Jadus(Holoprojection): Jacques Schnee.
Jacques: There is a problem that I need dealt with.
Darth Jadus(Holoprojection): Do not presume to command me, Schnee.
Jacques: Atlas is forbidden from exporting Dust to other Kingdoms in Remnant because of Ironwood's proposal. This will cost my company millions! At this rate, my company will go bankrupt! You promised my company would continue to prosper!
Darth Jadus(Holoprojection): That is your failure, Schnee. Not mine.
Jacques: It is beyond my control, Jadus! Ironwood has two seats on the Council! They listen to the damn fool's every word! Your attack on Vale has not made things any better!
Darth Jadus(Holoprojection): You fail to see the bigger picture, Schnee. As always, you only think of yourself and how the situation affects you. If it wasn't for your company's influence on Remnant, I would've killed you without a second thought. My attack on Beacon sent a powerful message which pulses across all of Remnant. The false peace that this world has lived in is now shattered.
Jacques felt a sinister aura hanging over him. He felt his body freeze up in fear as Darth Jadus looked upon him. Darth Jadus seemed to loom over the head of the Schnee Dust Company like an all powerful god.
Darth Jadus(Holoprojection): The Dust shipments you've sent have greatly benefited my cause. Despite you resources, you lack both vision and resolve. Fear is the only thing keeping you in line. Fear of losing your wealth and status to outside forces. Fear of my wrath.
Jacques was frozen in fear despite Darth Jadus not even being in the room. Out of self preservation, Jacques bowed before the Sith Lord in a plead for mercy.
Jacques: I...I apologize for my behavior, my lord. Perhaps I was too quick to judge. I am very appreciative for everything you have done for me and my company.
Darth Jadus(Holoprojection): Remember who you serve, Jacques Schnee. You serve me and only me. You exist to serve my will.
Jacques: Y...yes, my lord.
With that, the holoprojection of Darth Jadus vanished. Jacques took a moment to catch his breath as he felt fear rushing over him. After taking a moment to gain his composure, he called one of his company associates.
Jacques: Prepare another shipment. This time, prepare the finest shipment of Dust our company has to offer.
As Jacques made the order known, he hung up the phone and began to prepare for the charity concert he would be holding. Despite his status as an important figure in Atlas, Jacques Schnee was but a slave to Darth Jadus.
