The next day we were all gathered in the royal court of Hastinapur. The king was going to announce the name of the crown-prince. Although Jyesth Bhrata Yudhistir was the one worthy of the throne but we knew that our  Tatshree would do partiality and make his eldest son, Bhrata Duryodhan the king. But everything didn't go as planned. The king was about to name his heir when Guru Dron entered the court. My instincts directed me to bow infront of him. He regarded the King and said, " Maharaj from which kingdom are you bringing the Yuvraj?" We were all surprised to hear this. He continued, " He should belong to some other kingdom because none of the princes of this kingdom is free from their brahmacharya as they have not paid their Gurudakshina yet." Pitamaha stood up and said him that whatever he wanted as Gurudakhshina would be given to him. But Guru Drone's preferred Gurudakshina got us all dumbstruck. He asked all the Kuru princes to attack the kingdom of Panchal and win it for him. They could not take any troops with them. The war should be won by only the shishyas of Guru Drone. The King protested. King Drupad of Panchal was  a ferocious warrior therefore how could the young princes defeat him! After a lot of discussions the last decision made was that the princes would go to Panchal. Hastinapur never had a great relation with Panchal so we didn't actually have a problem to attack them.

The next morning I bade all my brothers farewell as they left for Panchal to face their first battle.

I knew they would win but still I prayed for them to Lord Shiva.
