I could hear my mother saying," How can I forget Priyamveda. He is my son. I have given birth to him. And I have sailed him in the river. Karn is my first-born. How can I not acknowledge that ? How..." , mother breaks down in a feet of sobs. Karn... I then knew that the young man with the golden armour  in the arena was Karn. He was supposedly a Sutputra and not a Kshatriya therefore he was not beimg allowed to fight Bhrata Arjun. And if Bhrata Arjun won Jyesht Bhrata would become the Yuvraj so Bhrata Duryodhan made him the King of Anga. And I had thought him to be one of my cousins in the morning. But what was mother talking about? How can he be her son?

Priyamveda masi said mother, " Princess you were a child then. You were oblivious and thats why you summoned Suryadev. Karn doesn't need to know he is your son. No one does and I assure you he won't be there in the feast. The feast is for the family. Get your composure back and lets go to the feast."
I hid myself behind a gargoyle as I heard Priyamveda masi coming out of the room.
Angraj Karn was my brother? Just like Jyesth, Bhrata Bhim,Bhrata Arjun, Nakul and Sahdev. I knew about mother's boon from Rishi Durvasha that she could get children from Gods. And most probably Angraj was the product of mother's curiosity from before her marriage. Therefore...therefore she had abandoned him as an infant. A surge of anger filled me up but then I felt mother's problems too. I still felt sad for Bhrata Karn.

I was walking down the palace corridors thinking all this when I suddenly bumped into someone. I looked up to see that it was Angraj. "Pranipat Bhratashree", I regarded him. He gave me a radiant smile and said, " you are wrong there princess I am not one of your brothers. I am..."  I cut his sentence " I know you are the new King of Anga but that doesn't mean you cannot accept me as your sister. When I first laid my eyes on you I got a sisterly feeling for you. " He opened his mouth to say something but I continued speaking, " I know I am the sister of your arch enemy  that is Bhrata Arjun but I promise that would never make a difference between our relation. So all your excuses are blocked." I stop after speaking in one breathe. A smile plays on his lips. " I accept you sweet sister and I take an oath to protect you forever.  And the truth is I have always wanted a sister."

THAT NIGHT
"How could you call him brother. He is such a jerk he insulted Bhrata Arjun." Nakul basically shouted at me.  I ignored him.  I was in no mood to argue with him. So I left the place leaving my brothers bewildered. I heard footsteps behind me. " I have no problem with you considering him as your brother although he is my arch-rival but don't push us away. We are just like before",saying this Bhrata Arjun hugged me and a hidden feeling of protection and the lovable relation between me and my brothers crept inside me.
