Petrified Luz

Luz slowly opens her eyes and stretches out her arms. She takes a deep breath and smiles, feeling optimistic about the day ahead.

LUZ: (to herself) Today's the day. I'm finally going to ask Adrien out.

Luz gets out of bed and makes her way to the mirror. As she looks at herself, she notices a big, red pimple on her nose.

LUZ: (screaming hysterically)

(As the portal gate opens and the camera zooms in on it, Adrien and Luz are seen to be in the sky. They open their eyes, only to realize they were falling which caused them to freak out before something zoomed past them and caught them. Adrien and Luz opened their eyes, with Luz behind Adrien and holding his arm while Adrien held onto the staff to stay on. The two kids saw they were saved by Eda, who smirked at the duo as they flew to her house on her Palisman staff.)

(The door where Hooty was opened up as Luz and Adrien step outside, with Luz twirling and posing with Eda's staff while Adrien draws his Rita sword he got recently and does his own pose. But then Eda took her staff back with an amused grin while Luz gave a sheepish smile and Adrien looked somewhat amused too. King popped up in front of them in a pose.)

(A Boiling Isle mural was seen as Gus, Willow, and Amity are seen briefly before it burns away to show King commanding an army of stuffed toys, which all fall on him. The scene burned away again, showing Adrien standing under a spotlight with determination on his face. Soon, a silhouette of a man in the Solaris Knight appears behind him before it fades out.)

(Now Adrien and Luz were on Eda's staff with Luz riding up front like she was driving and Adrien standing behind like he was surfing on a surfboard. They zoom down the Boiling Isles, past many friends and foes alike until Eda and King join in on the ride... then they hang on for dear life as a massive monstrous worm-like monster, mouth wide open, lunges at them. Everyone, minus Adrien, screamed in horror, as the latter had a look of bravery and defiance towards the monster as he pointed his sword towards it.)

(Then the scene changes back to the Owl House where it's nighttime and stars twinkle in the sky as the four are on the roof and looking up into the sky. Luz opens her hands to reveal a ball of light as Adrien pulls out his solar cell morphor and ticket.)

[Eda was in the kitchen spraying a plant with some kind of potion soon the plant bloomed with roses, while King was on the counter sleeping. Leanbow and Adrien were outside training. Luz walked into the kitchen, rubbing her nose slightly. She saw Eda at the counter cooking something and walked over to her.

"Hey, Eda," Luz said, "check out this pimple on my nose."

Eda turned to her and chuckled. "Oh, Luz, that's a pretty big one. You should have taken better care of your skin."

Luz rolled her eyes. "Thanks, Eda. I appreciate the support."

Eda laughed again. "Sorry, sorry. I couldn't resist. But seriously, what do you need?"

Luz sighed. "I was going to ask Adrien out tomorrow, but not like this."

Eda's smile faded slightly. "Oh, I see. Well, I'm sure Adrien wouldn't care about a little pimple. He likes you for who you are, not what you look like."

Luz smiled. "Thanks, Eda. That makes me feel better."

Eda: Don't mention it kid.

[Eda walks out of the kitchen and Luz walks to the window to see Adrien. He sees how Adrien is sweating wildly and how good he looks. She then looks in the window, sees her face, and gets really worried.]

[Luz looks at the roses that Eda prayed with a potion, pick the potion up and spray herself with it. The pimple disappeared and Luz smiled happily, and then went out to the yard to ask Adrien something. Unbeknownst, to her a small Leaf sprouted on her neck which she didn't notice.]

Luz stepped out of the Owl House, took a deep breath, and looked around. The sun was setting, and the sky was painted in shades of orange and pink. She spotted Adrien standing near the treehouse, relaxing on a tree.

She bit her lip and walked towards him, her heart pounding in her chest. As much as she wanted to talk to Adrien, she was nervous about it. They had been friends for a while, but she didn't know how he felt about her.

"Hey, Adrien," she said, her voice soft.

Adrien turned around and smiled. "Hey, Luz, what's up?"

"Um, can we talk tonight?" Luz asked, her eyes darting to the ground.

Adrien's smile widened. "Sure, I'd love to. What's on your mind?"

Luz's face lit up, and she felt a rush of happiness. "Thanks, Adrien. I'll see you later," she said before turning around and walking back into the Owl House.

She was about to close the door when she felt a strange sensation on her arm. She looked down and gasped. A leaf was sprouting out of her arm.

Luz panicked and ran to Eda's room, bursting through the door. "Eda, help! There's a leaf on my arm!" she exclaimed.

Eda looked up from her book and raised an eyebrow. "A what now?"

Luz held up her arm, and Eda's eyes widened. "Oh, that's not good," she said, standing up. "Let me take a look."

Eda examined Luz's arm and nodded. "Did you use that spray, I used on the plant?"

Luz: No....

Eda:

Luz: Yea....

Eda shakes her head."It's a curse. I can remove it, but it'll take some time."

Luz nodded, feeling relieved that it wasn't something permanent. "Thanks, Eda. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Eda smiled. "That's what I'm here for, kid. Now, let's get to work."

Luz and Eda stood in Eda's potions room, surrounded by various ingredients and tools. Eda had just finished explaining the recipe for the potion that would stop Luz from turning into a tree, but there was a problem.

"We're missing one ingredient," Eda said, shaking her head. "And it's not going to be easy to get."

"What is it?" Luz asked, her heart sinking.

"It's the fur of a Reaper," Eda replied, her voice low. "One of the most dangerous creatures on the Boiling Isles."

Luz swallowed hard. She had heard of Reapers before. They were massive, shadowy creatures that could kill with a single touch.

"How are we supposed to get that?" Luz asked, feeling a sense of dread wash over her.

"We're going to have to go get it ourselves," Eda replied, a determined look in her eye. "But we'll need a plan."

Luz nodded, trying to put on a brave face. She knew that she had to do whatever it took to get that fur.

The two of them spent the next hour going over their plan. They would sneak into the Reaper's lair, distract it with a decoy, and then snatch the fur while it was distracted.

It was a risky plan, but it was the only one they had.

[As they were leaving the owl house, they saw Adrien sleeping and snuck past him.]

They set out on their mission. They crept through the forest, trying to stay as quiet as possible. Luz's heart was pounding in her chest, and she kept glancing around nervously. Along the way Luz's face began to look more and more tree like which added to the worry.

Finally, they reached the entrance to the Reaper's lair. Eda handed her the decoy, a stuffed animal that looked like a small creature.

"Okay, remember the plan," Eda whispered. "Distract it with this, and then grab the fur."

Luz nodded, taking a deep breath. She held the decoy out in front of her and stepped into the lair.

At first, everything was quiet. Luz could hear the sound of her own heart beating in her ears. But then she heard a rustling in the darkness.

Suddenly, the Reaper appeared before her. It was even bigger than she had imagined, towering over her with its menacing form.

Luz held out the decoy, hoping that it would work. The Reaper snarled and lunged for it, and Luz darted past it, heading for the fur.

She snatched it up and turned to run, but the Reaper was right behind her. She could feel its hot breath on her neck.

She ran as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest. But she soon stopped moving as her legs stuck together.

Luz clutched her legs as she felt the curse take hold. They were stuck together, like they had been glued. She looked down and gasped as she saw bark growing over her skin, spreading like wildfire up her body.

"What's happening to me?" she cried out, her voice breaking.

The reaper loomed over her, its scythe raised high in the air. Luz closed her eyes, bracing herself for the final blow.

Eda: Luz! (Tries to run in, but the Reaper spits at her, which makes her stick to the wall) No!

She had always been afraid of death, but now she couldn't help but feel a strange sense of relief. At least this curse would be over.

Suddenly, she heard a loud clanging sound, and the reaper stumbled back. Luz opened her eyes and saw a figure in Solaris knight armor standing over her, brandishing a sword.

"Adrien?" she breathed, hardly daring to believe it.

He nodded grimly. "I've got you, Luz. Don't worry."

Luz felt a surge of hope, and she struggled to stand up. Her legs were still stuck together, but she managed to lean on Adrien for support.

The reaper recovered quickly and lunged at them again. Adrien parried its attack and swung his sword with all his might, slicing through the air. The reaper vanished into a puff of black smoke.

"Is it gone?" Luz asked, her heart racing.

Adrien nodded. "For now. But we need to get you to the Owl House. They might be able to help you."

Luz nodded, and Adrien picked her up in his arms. She winced as her bark-covered skin scraped against his armor, but she was grateful for his strength. He used Rita to cut down Eda and they made their way back to the owl house.

Eda, Luz, and Adrien stumbled through the door of the Owl House, panting and sweating. Luz clutched her face, her eyes squeezed shut in pain.

"Quick, Eda, we need to cure Luz!" Adrien exclaimed, his eyes wide with worry.

Eda nodded and rushed over to the shelves, grabbing a small bottle of potion. She uncorked it and held it out to Luz.

"Drink this, kid," she said, her voice urgent. "It'll heal you right up."

Luz took the bottle and gulped down the potion. Almost immediately, the redness and swelling on her face began to fade away.

Adrien let out a relieved sigh. "Thank goodness. Luz, what the heck happened? Why would you go to such great lengths to get rid of a pimple?"

Luz's face turned red with embarrassment. "I just wanted to look good," she muttered.

Adrien raised an eyebrow. "Look good for what?"

Luz hesitated for a moment before blurting out, "I asked if you wanted to go out with me tonight!"

Adrien's eyes widened in surprise. "You did?"

Luz nodded, her face still pink. "But then I got this stupid pimple and I freaked out."

Adrien chuckled and reached out to take Luz's hand. "You don't need to worry about that, Luz. You look beautiful no matter what."

Luz's face lit up with a smile. "Really?"

"Really," Adrien confirmed, squeezing her hand. "Now, let's go out and have a great night together."

Luz grinned and followed Adrien out the door, her face clear and radiant. Eda watched them go with a fond smile, happy to see her friend so happy.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter!!!
