3rd Person POV

     (Y/n) is fighting his way through White Fang grunts, like throwing wood into a woodchipper, all the while he is calling out to Adam, telling Adam to face him in combat. Eventually, (Y/n) comes to a large room and there are grunts everywhere. The grunts charge him when-

(Y/n): STOP! Adam! Adam, show yourself!

     The grunts stop in their tracks and look at eachother in confusion, until a slow clapping can be heard.

Adam: Well done, for a human, you've made it this far, but now starts the reckoning of the Faunus people!

(Y/n): I didn't ask for this! You brought this on yourself when you kidnapped my friends for petty revenge!

Adam: Petty revenge? Did Blake ever tell you about her and me? I loved her, I tried to give her the equality she desired, but she abandoned me, and her people.

(Y/n): I don't care what happened in the past, the past does not define who we are, only what we do right now! So, I am giving you a choice, I challenge you to a trial by combat! The fight will be you vs me in fair and honorable combat! The fight shall be to the death! I only ask that if I win, you let my friends and I leave peacefully!

Adam: I will accept your challenge only to watch you die while your "friends" watch.

     Adam jumps down from his ledge and lands a few meters away and draws his sword. (Y/n) detaches his hidden blade, dagger and bombs and lay them away from the fighting area. He and Adam circle eachother waiting for the other to make a move.

     Adam charges at (Y/n) and jumps into a overhead slash, (Y/n) just manages to block and deflect Adam's attack. (Y/n) uses a sideways light attack, which Adam swiftly blocked. (Y/n) anticipated this and used the momentum from Adam's block to go overhead and strike with the bottom of the poleaxe. Adam stumbled back, but quickly recovered and tried to strike at (Y/n). (Y/n) blocked and parried the attack and used his Impaling Charge and pushed Adam back several feet. Adam recovered and slashed three times at (Y/n)'s armor. (Y/n) tried to back hand but Adam spun to dodge and sliced at (Y/n), as (Y/n) tried to recover he sliced at Adam. Adam ducked as he spun again and sliced at (Y/n) inner thigh. (Y/n) grunts and dropped to one knee, Adam tries to slice at (Y/n)'s neck, but (Y/n) manages to block. (Y/n) pushes back as hard as he can and forces himself to his feet. Adam tries to push back but to no avail, (Y/n) then headbutts Adam, disarms him, and delivers a massive front kick to Adam's chest. (Y/n) takes the opportunity to grab his poleaxe, and waits for Adam to get to his feet. Once Adam does get to his feet he dodges an attack from (Y/n) and grabs his katana.

(Y/n): We can still stop this Adam! Give me my friends and let go of the hate.

Adam: What's the matter? Afraid of dying?

(Y/n): Sure I'm scared, but I will always rise above that fear and do whatever it takes to do what's right.

Adam: Then you will die as you ever were, a failure.

(Y/n): The only reason you will fail is because you refuse to let go of the past!

     Adam angrily charges (Y/n), (Y/n) responds by using a series of slices and stabs to throw Adam off. However, Adam is easily blocking everything (Y/n) throws at him. Adam then deflects a slice and throws (Y/n) off balance, Adam then activates his Semblance and throws it all at (Y/n). (Y/n) is sent flying into the wall and leaves a small crater in the wall. (Y/n) falls out of the wall and hits the ground flat on his chest. Adam catches his breath and walks to (Y/n)'s seemingly unconscious body.

Grunt: Well done Sir.

Adam: He was exceptional though. He made me use my full power against him.

     Meanwhile, back with team RWBY, the girls can hardly believe what has transpired. Blake is crying hard with her facing down at the floor. Weiss, looks away in sadness and sheds a tear. Yang, wants to get mad, but can't because her heart has been shattered. Ruby can only look on in hopelessness and cry profusely.

     Adam starts to walk away from (Y/n)'s body, and sheaths his sword. However, (Y/n) lifts his head and sees Adam walking away, as a new energy starts to well up. (Y/n) grunts as he gets to his hands and knees, Adam hears this and turns around and is surprised.

Adam: That's not possible.

     Ruby then sees (Y/n) getting up, and feels hope returning.

Ruby: That's right (Y/n). Get up.

     This gets the other girls attention as they also see (Y/n) getting up.

Weiss: Come on (Y/n). I know you can do it.

Yang: Get up, Knight (Y/n).

Blake: Please, don't give up. We love you.

     (Y/n) grabs his weapon and forces himself to his feet, Adam cannot seem to understand what's going on.

Adam: How? How are you doing this?!

     (Y/n) looks at Adam and simply stands up straight and readies for round 2.

(Y/n): Honor. Team RWBY helped me. Now I will do everything to protect them from any evil.

     Adam tries to strike (Y/n), but (Y/n) activates the power that has been building up the entire battle. Adam's strike bounces off (Y/n)'s energy burst and falls to the ground.

(A/N): Imagine the actual tevenge animation in the game.

     Adam quickly gets up and tries to block a slash from (Y/n)'s poleaxe. The two blades connect and Adam's katana shatters, (Y/n) comes back and slashes at Adam's thigh. Adam falls to his knees, as (Y/n) readies his weapon. (Y/n) then thrust his spearpoint and stops just before it connects with Adam's throat.

Adam: Do it then.

(Y/n): *deactivates Semblance* Yield, and you may yet live.

Adam: No, you're right. I let spite and hatred blind me to what was really important. End it, please?

(Y/n): *thinks for a moment* Any last requests?

Adam: Only if you really care about Blake, then maybe there is a peaceful future. Take care of her.

(Y/n): Always.

     (Y/n) then flips his poleaxe and strikes Adam in the stomach with the hammer and as he readies his axe (Y/n) exclaims.

(Y/n): Tu bene te ipse defendisti!

     (Y/n) swing his axe, executioner style, and slices off Adam's head. (Y/n) stands back up and looks at the various White Fang grunts. As he walks, the White Fang move out of his way. (Y/n) reaches the interrogation room and breaks it open, the girls look and see him standing there.

(Y/n): Are you girls alright?

Ruby: I feel like we should asking you that.

(Y/n): Oh you know, just another day in the life of a Lawbringer.

     (Y/n) releases the girls and they all get a big group hug in and head back to Beacon. When they get there all five are taken to the infirmary for injuries, thankfully nothing major was apparent. The team head back to their dorm room and get cleaned up and ready for bed, it's been a long day after all. (Y/n) comes out of the bathroom in his pajamas and sees the girls standing there waiting.

(Y/n): Is everything alright?

Weiss: Well, we um-

Yang: We have something to say to you.

(Y/n): Okay, I'm all ears.

Ruby: Well, first off we just wanted to thank you for the rescue, for a few minutes I thought we were goners.

(Y/n): You're my friends, I've always got your back.

Yang: That's another thing, we want to be... more than friends.

     (Y/n) cocks an eyebrow.

Blake: Have you ever loved someone before?

(Y/n): I don't know, I had been fighting for so long, I guess I never really knew what love was. How do you know if you feel this way?

     Weiss smirks and walks up to (Y/n) and closes her eyes and kisses him on the lips. This caught the others off guard and Yang loses grip of her bed and falls to the floor in shock.

Ruby: Aw, guess I was too slow.

Blake: The Ice Queen is sneaky.

     Weiss pulls away, after (Y/n) melted into the kiss, and smirks.

Weiss: Does that answer your question?

(Y/n): Wow, I don't know what to say girls. Um, I love you, I guess.

     The girls giggle and the other three get their kisses in before everyone goes to bed and fall asleep. For the first time in a long time, (Y/n) felt truly, happy, and it felt good.
