That night I crawled into bed a little nervous. "I need to talk to dream-Knight about this, but what if he thinks I'm crazy," I mumbled burying my face into my pillow. I drifted off and arrived in another rundown city. "I think this is time square," I mumbled as I looked around. "You seem confident today Princess."

I jumped and looked to see Knight walking up to me from an alley. "Hello," I said meekly, before following him. He walked down a few blocks looking for a safe place to rest. I noticed that thereafter no monsters... everything was oddly quiet. I didn't try to talk to him, I was too embarrassed not to mention nervous. He turned into a bank and walked straight into the vault. "Come on," he motioned as he waited till I walked in to close the big heavy door. He sat next me, and I looked away, feeing my heart speed up. "You're strangely quiet," he said raising an eyebrow at me. "I..I..I'm just scared," I stuttered looking at the ground. "Well relax you're fine," he sighed putting his hands behind his head and leaning back. I debated on what to say back and forth in my head. He closed his eyes and seem to be falling asleep himself. I admit I stared a bit too long. Till I made up my mind and said something.

"Knight what if I told you this is a dream," I said gripping the end of my shirt. He slowly looked at me processing what I just said. "I have no idea what you're saying. Explain," he said turning his body to me, while resting his head on his hand. "Well I met someone who looks exactly like you but in my real life. He kinda acts like you too," I whispered embarrassed. "I see. So there are two of me?" He asked unimpressed. "Well yes, but no... yes, and no," I tripped over my words and avoided eye contact. "You're odd," he sighed and I turned away. "Sorry," I mumbled.

"To be honest I can't remember anything previous to meeting you. So if this is a dream, does that mean I owe my life to you," he asked and he saw my face turn bright red. I tried to hide it in my hands, but to no avail. "Are you attracted to me?" He asked and I turned completely away from him, hiding my face, and mentally screaming.

Knight stared at me before shrugging and closing his eyes. "I guess I really am your Knight, Princess," he whispered and I felt my heart speed up but it made me happy.

As I closed my eyes I woke up refreshed. I looked around my room then my clock. "I'm up a little earlier than usual. I could try to go back to sleep but if we're still in the vault," I trailed off as I played back what Knight said to me and I blushed again.

I rushed to get ready trying to distract myself. Even doing my hair a little different than usual. Since I had the time. I finished up and opened my front door to find that (F/n) wasn't there yet. "Hu? They're never late," she pouted as she looked around. "I guess I'll call them," I said as I dialed my cellphone.

"Hello?"
"Hey where are you."
"Sorry I'm not feeling so hot. I'm not going to school today. Are you ok on your own?"
"Yeah I'll be fine. Get better."

I hung up. "Ok I can do this. I got sleep so I should be unstoppable! I don't need a replacement buddy for today," I said motivating myself as I walked down my steps. I managed to get to school a little early. I fast walked out of nervousness. As I made it my floor when I felt someone behind me. Then I heard whisper in my ear, "Dream about me last night?"

I jumped and I whipped around to see (Guy's name) chuckling at me. I got so embarrassed. "Good morning Princess," he smiled and I blushed. "Good morning," I said quickly. "Why so nervous Princess," he teased and I looked away. "It's nothing bye," I said as I tried to walk away but he followed me. "Come on don't be like that. I just wanted to greet you. Who knew I had a little ice Princess on my hands," he teased and I blushed harder. I just kept walking till I reached my class door. "Hey?" He grabbed my hand and I tensed up and tuned to see him frowning. "At least eat lunch with me. I want to know more about dream me," he sighed. "Will you stop teasing me," I managed to squeak out. He leaned down and whispered so only I could hear, "Who said I was teasing." "Fine," I sputtered out and he smiled as he was about to walk away he looked back making eye contact with me and said, "I also like the new hair."

I quickly opened the door and sat down burying my face in my arms. "This is going to be a long day," I thought as class started. As classes went on I spaced off. "I can't believe this is happening, what do I even tell him about Dream Knight... Ahhhhh why couldn't I just keep my mouth shut. If I just want so paranoid, none of this would be happening," I paused and took the last of my notes before the class ended.

(Meanwhile)

"Hey (guys name) I heard you're hanging out with the Sleep Screamer," his friend teased. "That's right," he smiled back. "Why the fuck would you do that? She's so weird," he said confused. "Weird yes; but she has a medical condition. Not much she can do about it. Plus I think she's interesting," he smirked. "Ok it's your funeral. The girls that like you are gunna be angry," his friend chuckled. "Let'm be angry. I can hang out with whoever I want. I hang out with your dumb ass," he chuckled.

(Back with me)

It was lunch time and I got my stuff and walked out into the hallway to see him waiting. "Follow me Princess," he smirked and I nodded following him to the roof. When we got there he sat next to the fence, and I slowly joined him. "So how was dream me last night," he smirked and I felt my face turn red. "You were ok. Um I told him that he's a dream and he took it very well," I explained. "So no epic fights or anything," he asked a little disappointed. "No. We sat in a bank vault and talked. It was nerve racking though. Trying to break the news to someone that they don't really exist," I whispered before taking some bites of my food. "Well how about we eat together from now on," he asked finishing his drink. "Hu!" She jolted. "Come on now don't make me beg," he smirked leaning down close to me and my face turned bright red. "Fine," I squeaked out. "Perfect," he said turning his attention back to his food. I couldn't focus, my heart was beating to fast. "Listen I know I embarrass you, but just for my curiosity. Are you attracted to me," he asked and I froze. "I...I'm not sure," I mumbled through my complete embarrassment. "Ok that's fine. No pressure, I guess I'll have to try harder with you," he whispered. "What?" I asked unable to catch what he said. "Don't worry about it princess, just finished up before lunch ends," he pointed to my barely eaten lunch box and I nodded.

The rest of the week was the same. Day after day of him sneaking up to say good morning princess, eating lunch together, and my dreams being tamer than usual. I still got the occasional demon/monster but Knight was getting better at fighting. Then the dreams by the end of the second week it got worse. I was falling asleep in class again, I couldn't register (Guy's name) talking to me and I ate lunch at my desk. Knight was able to keep me safe but the monsters were getting more horrifying to the point where it was concerning. I guess good things don't last forever. As I laid down to sleep I arrived in another rundown city. It was oddly quiet. I was surprised by Knight suddenly. He was sprinkling towards me, and behind him was something that made my heart sink. I was so scared I didn't hear what he was screaming at me, I just hear white noise. Because appearing behind him was a monster horde!
