It's time for all the sorcerers and the knight to meet each other

Claire's point of view

Nothing tonight has gone the way I planned it for so as I wasn't planning on getting into bed with Jim. I mean I thought about it. That's kind of why I bought the condoms but I didn't think it would actually happen and what I definitely didn't expect is for my best friend to burst into his house Blue as a Smurf and shaking causing ice to appear

Mary is the sorcerer of ice... How could I not see that we hang out all the time? Wait maybe that's why I didn't see it. Blinky said that the sorcerers would seek me and Jim out but I was already friends with one of them so her being around me wasn't that unusual And I was so caught up with trying to find the sorcerer as I missed the obvious one right in front of me and missed all the signs

When Mary came in, she collapsed on the floor we managed to get her back up to Jim's room and resting her on his bed. That's when we called Toby and Blinky, we came up with some excuse as to why I was here in the first place since we didn't want them to know what I was really doing, but I don't think they would've questioned it to them or worry about the freezing girl on James 's bed

Toby: I've heard of someone giving you the cold shoulder, but this takes a whole new level. It's freezing in here.

I can't deny that ever since we brought Mary in here Jim's room has turned into a freezer. There's even icicles starting to appear on the ceiling.

Blinky : that is the price of having too much magic for your body, unfortunately for this young lady she has too much magic flowing through her body and it's leaking out of her... If it wasn't for that this young lady surely would be dead by now however ironically the magic that is also causing her such pain is also the thing keeping her alive

Jim taking a thermometer out of Mary's mouth : I'll say it says her temperature is below-100° forget how she got here she should be dead

Blinky : like I said master Jim, her magic is protecting her despite the fact it is causing great pain it will shield from most of the side effects

Most! she blue she's shaking temperature is  -100 and there are ice coming out of her legs and arms this is they're not so dangerous side-effects she could die: Blinky this isn't helping how do we save Mary? You said that we all need to be together well me and Jim are here. Why isn't she getting any better?!

Blinky: unfortunately lady Claire it is not that simple. I was doing more research into the legend. There is no method that describes how the night and his sorcerers kept their powers under control but I believe it has something to do with each of your powers you and master jim were given the power of darkness and light to opposite forces that simultaneously cancel each other out so it would stand a reason. The only person capable of saving Mary is the one of fire.

Toby gasped: oh I get it. It's like type adventures with Pokémon don't you get it? We need to fight ice with fire and fire with ice. They'll cancel each other out yeah problem solved two birds onestone

From Mary's mouth came grant of pain as the ice around her got more intense and it got colder in the room. My teeth started to shiver as I felt the breeze of the cold go down my spine. It was getting colder and the ice was getting more intense

Jim: whatever we're doing, we need to do it fast if this keeps up Mary is going to accidentally start the next ice age and we've been searching nearly all week for the sorcerer of fire and we found nothing how are we going to find them now in... My guess a couple of hours

Blinky coming up with an idea: well master Jim this might not be good news but if Mary's power is becoming unstable, it stands to reason that

I finish his sentence: that the one of fire is becoming unstable too... oh God that is bad... Well on the positive side it shouldn't be that hard to find them

Toby: yeah except they're probably in a raging inferno... So we've got a choice either we stay here and freeze to death or we go hunting for a walking inferno who we have no idea who is and is most likely on fire

The ice was getting more severe as icicles started to drip down from the ceiling nearly inhaling us but luckily we dodged them and that's when Mary started to wake up. She was a bit drowsy but me and Jim went over to her nearly slipping on the ice that was appearing on the floor.

Mary drowsy: Jimmy Jim... C-bomb... what am I doing here? Oh yeah I came here. Why did I do that?

I don't know whether it was delirium or she generally didn't understand what was going on: Mary, you're gonna be okay. We just need you to relax.

She looked over her shoulder and giggled: there's a giant glue creature over there with six eyes... This is a crazy dream

Okay, yeah, she's delusional: Mary, you need to sit down

Mary swaying her arms around still in a delusional state: this is so much fun I'm in Jimmy Jim's room... And I think I almost didn't come here

Wait, what? She almost didn't come here doesn't make any sense according to Blinky we should've sorted each other out so why wouldn't she come here? Unless

I realise what's going on: Mary, where else were you planning on going?

Mary smiling as she got on her knees: I was gonna go see Darcy but then I found a stronger urge to go see Jimmy Jim I don't know why

Darcy, she was going to go see Darcy that means: Darcy is the one on fire. We need to get to Darcy now... Mary just lay back in bed and me and Jimmy Jim will be right back with something that will make you feel better

Mary: okay ha ha ha ha!

We leave the room as it freezes over to the point where the door is frozen shut

Toby: what are we going to do? She's not gonna last much longer and at this rate winter is coming....early.

Blinky : what do we need? Is the sorcerer of fire without it? I fear that a coming age of ice and snow will rain over the world once again.

I let the others in on my theory: I think I know who that is it has to be Darcy

Jim along with the others raised an eyebrow: really? Are you sure?

I nod as I explain: it's the only thing that makes sense me and Darcy along with Mary. We all hang out together so when the two of them were coming around me more often I didn't pay any attention to it. That's why we haven't been able to find them because they were right in front of us the whole time.

Toby, not quite believing it : I don't know Claire I mean it could be that it was someone that was just hanging around with Jim. I mean a lot of women have come into his life lately could be his new tutor.

And that's what I would think too if it wasn't for what Mary said : no that can't be right even if Mary was delusional. She said that she was thinking about coming over to Darcy's before she decided to come over here. I think the reason why she felt that urge was because Darcy is the one of fire and the only reason why she didn't go over there now is because me and Jim were at his house

Blinky gasped: that is a brilliant deduction lady Claire it makes sense. Mary was drawn to Darcy first because of that magic connecting but when the two of you were here together that must've been a stronger call for her. We must find your friend immediately or else I fear the worst.

I agree as I go into my phone and try to call her. I don't know how I'm gonna convince her to get her to come over here but I've gotta come up with something. Only one problem she wasn't answering.

I turned to the others: she's not picking up

Jim: well we need to do something quick because at this rate my entire house is going to look like an ice cream cone

He was referring to the fact of the ice was growing out of Jim's room now and it was growing much faster as the temperature would continue to drop

I tried calling Darcy again, but still no answer not even an answering machine. Where the hell is she?

Toby looking on his phone after he got an alert: I know this isn't the time but my Nana has just texted me... guys remember when Blinky said that since Mary's power is going out of control it's understandable that the sorcerer of fire whoever it is is also coming out of control?

Jim concerned and confused: yeah why?

Toby then showed us his phone. The message he received from his Nan was a news alert. There was a wildfire near Arcadia that was going out of control and I can't exactly explain it, but I know that Darcy is there. It's like I could sense her and she's scared and in a lot of pain.... we need to get to her now.
