-No One's P.O.V-

After defeating the Petrifying Beast which sets the soldiers free who were turned into stone.

Later, You, Ricca, Claret, and the soldiers moved in until Claret sensed a vast of evil energy coming to where everyone walked in.

So right now, everyone starts to fight all of the Arch-Lich's minions.

You were busy slicing down all of the goblins and the skeletons so the soldiers won't have a hard time fighting them.

Ricca finished off the orc right in front of her until she spoke up.

Ricca: There are still a lot of monsters out here...They keep coming no matter how many we kill.

Claret: Yes, it's like they're multiplying...I guess we should have to expect the base to be well-guarded.

(Y/N): No kidding!

Ricca: But they're not coming for us...Why is that...?

Port Town Captain: This behavior...Maybe they're trying to delay us.

Claret: They may be trying to buy time until the gate opens...I think Arch-Lich is close by...If so...!

(Y/N): Damn, I honestly hate these guys buying their master some time to get the gate open!

Claret: Ricca, (Y/N)! I'm going to create a hole in this horde of monsters! Please use it to move ahead!

Ricca: What...!? But then you and the soldiers will have to take on all these monsters yourself...!

Capital Soldier: We'll be alright! We got enough rest while we were petrified!

Port Town Soldier: This is for my father who was a sailor! I'll show you my worth as a man...!

(Y/N): Show them what you're made of boys! Keep that pride up!

Soldiers: Yeah!!!

Claret: I'm sure you two can defeat Arch-Lich! Iris would want you two to keep moving forward, too! Besides, you'll just go back to being a useless girl once you run out of magic, right? Then you should go while you still have energy left...!

Ricca: U-Useless...!? Well...you're not wrong...

(Y/N): Bruh, can we just get it over with, please?

Ricca: Fine. We'll move forward, find Iris, and defeat Arch-Lich...! Everyone...please promise us you'll be safe until then...!

Port Town Captain: Yes, you two...We'll leave it to you both then!

(Y/N): Thank you very much!

Claret: Take care, you two...Dragon Breath!

Claret then summons out an orange pentagram in front of her as she fires Dragon Breath as it destroys all of the enemies in front until you and Ricca dashed your way up top.

Ricca: Claret...Everyone...we have to hurry...we need to find Iris and defeat Arch-Lich...

(Y/N): Yeah, let's be careful and stay on our guard.

Ricca: Understood.

A bit of time passed after defeating the monsters, you and Ricca finally found Iris on the way.

Iris: Ah...! There you two are!

Ricca: Iris...?! Stop...!

Iris: Huh...?

(Y/N): Hm? What's wrong?

Ricca: (Y/N), let's not fall for this trick.

You looked back at Iris before looking back at Ricca.

(Y/N): Alright.

Ricca: Are you really Iris...? The real Iris...?

Ricca questions as Iris silently floats there.

Ricca: If you are Iris, then...Um...You know how...we, um, escaped from the prison cell at the goblin fortress...right?

Iris: *Sigh* (Y/N) was the first to wake up as he and I searched for you until we found you who is fainted. Anyway, couldn't you come up with a better question? Like how we first met, or what we ate last night, or...

(Y/N): Yeah, that's definitely the real Iris.

That's when Ricca starts to approach Iris and gives her a hug.

Iris: Hey...Let go...You're crushing me...

Ricca: Heehee! No! I'm never letting go of you ever again!

(Y/N): Hahaha, oh you two...

Ricca: Hey Iris...Were you okay while you were away from my body?

Iris: Why are you asking that...?

(Y/N): Ricca was worried about 'ya. Remember when you were scouting above to sense the evil energy from this island? That's when you didn't feel good because you strayed far from Ricca.

Iris: Oh yeah. It's true that fairies are more sensitive to evil magic than humans are, and I do feel better when I'm around with you, but I'm fine as long as I'm not directly exposed to magic.

Ricca: Really...? Thank goodness...I was worried you might die easily like monsters do...

Iris: Like a monster...? Heehee, thank you for thinking about me, but I have a mission to fulfill, you know. I won't die that easily.

Ricca: Right...I know...You do look pretty sturdy...Heehee!

Iris: Yeah...Of course I am...

(Y/N): Please don't jinx it, you two...

And just like that, you, Iris, and Ricca continued reaching the top of the tower to confront Arch-Lich.

Iris: I sense the evil magic of countless monsters from this tower...But they're all weak as slimes compared to the power I feel from the very top.

Ricca: ...

(Y/N): The bastard is at top of the tower, huh? We can't waste our time messing around.

Ricca: Yeah. Everyone's counting on us. We have to make it.

-Time Skip-

It took a long while for you, Iris, and Ricca to make your way up to the top and it was quite hard for you to keep up because of the moving platforms until you eventually managed to get up the top.

On the way, the three of you encountered a fake Miria who had an angry expression on her face.

"Miria" then starts to caress her stomach as if she was pregnant.

Miria Effigy: The orcs and goblins kept raping me...and now I have a monster baby in my belly. I can't go back to my life in the village anymore...It's all your fault that this happened to me...so die!

You were aiming at the fake Miria with your bow and arrow until the three of you noticed that two purple pentagrams appeared above the fake Miria as it fires two dark throwing swords.

Ricca deflects one of the throwing swords and sends it back to the fake Miria onto her stomach while you dodged the second throwing sword and fired an arrow straight to her heart.

The fake Miria lets out a monstrous painful scream before disappearing into thin air.

(Y/N): Begone, you fake.

Ricca: It was a warped kind of love...but Miria still loved me even when she became a monster...! She would never tell me to die!

Iris: The same trick won't work on a holy knight twice...I'll make you regret this, Arch-Lich!

-Mini Time Skip-

Later on, you, Iris, and Ricca arrived at the top and see a huge drain crystal that is being used.

Ricca: It's big...! Is that really a Drain Crystal...?

Iris: Just how many monsters were sacrificed to make a crystal that big...!?

Ricca: Hey, Iris...I've been wondering for a while, but...are Drain Crystals made out of ...

Iris: Yes...Arch-Lich must have killed thousands...No, tens of thousands of monsters for Magic Stones to create this giant crystal.

Ricca: That's awful...! But isn't he a monster, too? How could do that to his own kind...?

(Y/N): There are some villains who use others for their own selfish gains.

Iris: Exactly. He doesn't care about all the other monsters.

Ricca: I see. I knew that killing monsters and destroying Drain Crystals both produced Magic Stones, so I had a suspicion, but...The red gems used for activating golems are also Magic Stones, right?

Iris: Yes. Magic Stones can be purified and used for manipulating magic, so they're used as golem cores.

Ricca: I see...

(Y/N): But what about the brooch? Isn't the red gem also a magic stone?

Iris stays silent before speaking up.

Iris: It's a crystal God made...from the remains of my brother and other lost friends from my village.

Ricca: So that's why you said this brooch was very precious...It must mean a lot to you...

Iris: It does...

(Y/N): Well...I'm really sorry about the loss of your friends and your brother, Iris.

Iris: It's fine...

Ricca: And you entrusted it to me...A human...Thank you...

(Y/N): Come on, we gotta destroy that big Drain Crystal.

And just like that, you and Iris destroyed the huge Drain Crystal until the three of you went to confront the Arch-Lich going through another room.
