RAE POV

When I got home that night I was excited but also I was confused. I felt a need to talk to someone, but should I call him? Would he be able to reach Enock for me? I just did not know which way to go. I knew when coming here there had been a possibility of running into other species, but hadn't expect to run into so many in a short period of time. I picked up and put down the phone several times before I finally just called him. He picked up on the second ring, "Nash, this is Rae. I was wondering if you could come over? I just really feel a need to talk to Enock and you're the only one who can make that happen."

Nash replies, "is everything ok?"

I said, "yes, no. I am confused about somethings. When I felt this way it was Enock I talked to. I want to ask you if..."

Nash said, "say no more. I want to grab a few things to make a stronger connection to her. Also if you have anything of her that can help. Find a place that is outside that is private and cannot be viewed from the sides or the front. It should be pretty flat since I am going to be lighting candles."

I reply, "How about the balcony attached to my bedroom?"

"That can work for tonight. I will be there in about half an hour."

"Thank you. How about I will make spaghetti, salad and garlic bread for afterwards?"

"Sounds good. I will see you soon."

I then walked into the office and went to the closet. I noticed the box I was looking for was at the bottom. I pulled all the other boxes out and grabbed the one that contained Enock's stuff. I carried it into the other room and set it down. I then went to the kitchen and made the spaghetti sauce. I first of all cooked 1/2 lb ground Italian sausage and 1/2 lb ground beef, added salt and freshly ground black pepper; while that was cooking I chopped up 1 medium onion and then added it to the meat. I stirred it until all the meat was brown. I then added 15 ounces tomato sauce, 6 ounces tomato paste, 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. I stirred it until everything was mixed up and turned the heat down to simmer. I placed a lid on it. I then pulled out a premix ceasar salad. All I would have to do is just mix it and start the spaghetti. I set the frenchtoast on a cookie sheet. I got the butter and garlic mixed together. All I had to do was melt it in the microwave and pour over the bread and bake it.

I heard a car pull into the driveway and looked out. I could see he had arrived so I walked to the door to greet him. I opened the door and waited on the porch for him. He came in carrying a bag. "Hello Rae. Did you get something of Enocks?"

I shook my head and lead him to the box, "when Enock disappeared like she did everyone assumed she died. My family mailed me this but I was never able to open it. I know what is in it, but haven't been able to bring myself to open it. I wanted to wait until you were here. I did not want to do it by myself." I then knelt beside it and started pulling the tape off. I took a deep breath and was getting ready to pull it open with tears running down my face. Then I felt two arms wrap around me in a hug and even though the tingle was there I appreciated the comfort and turned my head into his shoulder and more tears came. He comforted me.

When I calmed down I wiped my tears and was embarrassed for breaking down like that. He leaned down and kissed me on my forehead, "it will be alright. Remember Enock said she isn't dead. We just need to rescue her. I am going to be there with you to make sure it happens. Would you like for me to just pull an item out of the box? This way you don't have to get into it."

I shook my head no. I still wasn't ready to talk. I turned back toward the box. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. I reached up and opened it. I could smell her scent. In the box was her wedding quilt. It also contained her silver mirror and brush set that Enuck had given her for their 100th year together. I saw the album she had placed pictures in since she got her first camera. Then her jewelry box. I reached in and pulled that out. I opened it up and took out her wedding bracelet she wore until about 125 years after Enuck had been killed in an accident. It wasn't until she started seeing Wiley did she remove it. She wore it for over 400 years. I gave it a kiss and handed it to Nash. I then put the jewelry box back in the box. Then carried the box back to the office and put it away."

We walked upstairs and through my bedroom to the balcony. Nash went outside and pulled two small pillows out and placed them on the ground. He then set out several colorful candles in the shape of a heart. He put Enock's ring in the center. The then pulled out a knife. "Sit down. I need to put off a lock of your hair."

"Ok," I was finally able to say. Then I sat down and he cut off some of my hair. He pulled out a long white tapered candle. He looked me in the eye. "When I pause you are to repeat the words after I say in the name of. Do you understand.?"

I look at him and reply, "yes". He then grabbed my hand with my hand squeezed it. He let go of my hand and picked up the tapered white candle.

"Mother Earth I call upon your gentle breeze to clean this area for me." I look at did not see anything on the balcony since I had swept it all off over the weekend. A wind picks up and when I look I again I do notice that the balcony looks cleaner. Then he said, "Mother Earth I call upon you to light this white candle in the name of peace and purity"

"Peace and purity" and the white candle magically lit up when I finished repeating what he said.

"Rae place your hand on mine. We will need to light the other candles together." I set my hand on his and once again feel that tingle. We look at each other. Then down at the candles. "We light these brown candles in the name of family."

"Family," I reply and we use the white candle to light 3 brown candles.

"We light these pink candles in the name of healing, friendship and caring."

"Healing, friendship and caring," and we light the 3 pink candles.

"We light these yellow candles in the name of comfort, hope and healing"

"Comfort, healing and hope," and light the 3 yellow candles.

"We light these blue candles in the name of communication and calmness."

"Communication and calmness," and light 3 blue ones.

"We light these silver candles in the name of psychism"

"Psychism," and light 3 silver.

"We light these black candles in the name of against negativity and protection"

"Against negativity and protection," and we light 3 black candles

"We light these red candles in the name of strength and courage."

"Strength and courage," and light 3 red candles.

"We light these orange candles in the name of success and justice."

"Success and justice," and light 3 orange candles.

"We light these green candles in the name of growth."

"Growth," we light 3 green candles.

"We light these purple candles in the name of wisdom, psychic abilities, and hidden knowledge."

"Wisdom, psychic abilities and hidden knowledge," and light 3 purple candles.

"Last we light these gold candles in the name of luck and happiness."

"Luck and happiness," and we light 3 gold candles.

Nash say, hold this candle now. He let's go of it as he then reaches into his bag and pulls out a few jars and he opens one. "Mother Earth thank you for dirt and water." He then pours the dirt and water together and forms a mud ball and sets it in the middle of the heart by Enock's ring and my lock of hair. He pushes a hole into the dirt. "Please place the purity candle into the middle of what Mother Earth has provided." I place the candle in the center. He then uses more water and rinses away some of the mud from his hand. He looks at me, "are you ready to call upon your Enock to come forth? This time you will see her and the ring, your hair and these candles should keep her stable while we talk. This taper candle will stay light a total of 3 hours from when we first lit it. That will be how long she will be able to stay."

"I am ready," and I reach over and give him a kiss on the cheek and say, "thank you."

He smiles at me, "now turn toward me and hold my hands." I grab his hands. He closes his eyes and says, "spirit rhelm, I have the blessing of the elements of Mother Earth. We have added her hair and her Enock's ring to have you guide the right one forth. I call upon you to bring Rae's family forth for the answers she seeks."

We are all the sudden surrounded by heavy fog. Then Rae looks over into the candle ring and says, "Who are you? You're not Enock. "

"I am Michica. Why have you called me here. Who are you?"

"Enuck?" I say in an astonished voice and look at Nash. "I think this is my grandfather. I was expecting Enock and not Enuck." Just then another ghost appeared.

Nash is astonished, "Grandma? How did you get here? Rae, this is the original Osborne witch, Isabella"

Isabella says, "I was bringing the misplaced, Aadya here. Since a strand of your hair was mixed into Mother Earth. It called upon me to guide her instead of your usually ghost friend, William." She then pulls forth who we originally were calling forth.

Rae cries, "Enock. I so needed to see and talk to you but somehow we ended up with a bunch of you."

Michica whispered, "is that really you my love? He then pulled Aadya into his arms and held her.

Isabella said, "Let me look." She looks around at what all we did and then laughed. "You got him because this was her wedding bracelet he got her all those years. That bracelet also drew her but because she is not dead she needs to be attached to a ghost to be brought forth. Now she is attached to me because a strand of your hair was mixed into the mud. Now I want each of you to grab one color candle at a time. On the mud drop 3 drops from each of the candle you have and together say, "family entity be sealed and candle stay forever. Then blow the candle out toward each other. Do that with each color. I will handle the third color and say it with you."

We did that with each candle until all that was left was the white tapered one. "Now anytime either of you want to talk to us. Set the candle on the ground between you. Grab each other's hands and say, "Mother Earth bring light and call our family to us. Now, that I have given Michica and Aadya a few minutes to be alone I will let them come forth. I will sit back here in the corner. Nash you should do the same while they talk. Rae before I call your grandparents back into this circle you will need to go change. They will want to see you as Ulima and talk to you in the ancient dialect." Rae goes into the house and changes and puts on Ulima's clothes.

"Nash while she is gone I need to tell you when you get home call just me forward. We will need to have a talk. Now let me explain how this candle we bound together works. Your talks should be no more than 30 minutes 3 times a week for the first month. Then you can work on expanding the time. Give us a couple days to rest between each calling. Then call us back. We will work on figuring out how Aadya got here. This is not a normal calling of spirits. You are bringing forth someone who isn't dead so that drains our energy faster.

Nash replies as Ulima comes out and says, "I can do that grandma. In 48 hours we will call you forth again. Now we have about 15 minutes left so I think Ulima needs to talk to her grandparent."

ULIMA POV

Enock looks at me wearing the tradition blue dress of our people. I walk into the balcony and bow my head to the north and say I. Her native language, "Mother of our people blessed this night." I turn to the East and say, "Father of our people give us peace this night." And I turn to the south, mother of our people, "Mother of our people open up our hearts this night." And I turn to the west, "father of our people help us hear the wisdom in what we hear this night." I then kneel down in from of my grandparents and say, "grandparents of mine thank you for just being here for me this night." I then lift up my head and look them in the eyes as tears of wonder run down my cheeks.

They both say, "Mother and Father of our people thank you for all you bless us with; and open up our hearts that we feel the peace and give us the wisdom that we hear and can share what is needed here this night. "

Enock returns to English and says, "we do not have much time so please share with us what is troubles you."

"Aadya she reminds me so much of you at that age. Our granddaughter is beautiful. Yes, my dear child share with us so we can help you."

"Since coming here I have met witches and werewolves. I was raised with them in our folklore stories of them basically being the boogie man. Enock in her first message to me said to trust Nash. I trust her guidance, but now I have met someone. He is someone I always looked up to and who led me to want to study archeology. I even wrote my thesis on him at fairy school. I know I drove them crazy about him. He was the reason I chose to come to this school so I could study under him but..."

Enuck said, "but? Did that witch do something to scare you?"

I yell, "No, he not a wicked witch. He is a dirty dog, I mean werewolf."

Nash who was sitting in the background says in a very disappointed voice, "you think witches and werewolves are boogie man? What are you teaching her? No wonder she is untrusting of us."

Enock in a quiet and gently voice says, "where she grew up we did tell stories of witches and werewolves. Most of the Kitsuni never go farther than 100 miles from where they grow up. The covens and packs around us are not friendly. They all have been trained to throw fire and protect themselves l, but Ulima could not use that power. She was sent away. If you ever met the Obsidian Coven or the Raven Pack you would understand. Why we had to send her away."

"The Obsidian Coven is still around? I thought they were wiped out. My grandma and Aunt Mary will need to know this. That coven are full of dark witches and according to them they almost wiped out my branch family. But one of my distant cousins can see into the future and was able to stop it before they attacked my great grandparents. They were met by the witches' council and until today I thought wiped out."

"Then you grew up hearing tails of them too. Maybe now you can understand. Yes they are around. They moved to the foothills of the mountains where our Kitsuni den is now. It was some dark creature they called forth that put me here. Ulima tonight you need to share with him what happened 300 years ago to our den. It was the Obsidian and Ravens who did that. This way he will understand."

Enuck then breaks in, "as for your werewolf here I suggest tread cautiously since we know nothing about him and the pack. Since I have crossed here I have met many witches and werewolves who are not like the ones around where you grew up."

Enock then adds, "Our time is almost up. Give us a couple days to get back our energy. Then we can discuss what happened to me in more detail. I love you. Nash keep her safe because you are her compeer." Then they all fade from sight and the candle goes out. We both sat their for a few minutes taking in what was said. Then we put everything back in Nash's bag but the tapered candle. That I carried and placed it on my dresser hutch. As I helped clean up I told Nash about the attack on the den 300 years ago from the Obsidian Coven and the loss my family endured. I also asked him if he knew what a compeer was because I had never heard that word before.

When we were done. I ask Nash to please go downstairs and I will be right with him. I transform back into Rae. Then I go downstairs and finish making super. While I was making the spaghetti and garlic bread, he mixed up the Caesar Salad. We sit down at the table and eat in a comfortable silence as we mule over all that happened. Afterwards he gets up and helps clean up. I ask him if he like to watch a movie and eat desert and have a cup of coffee. He admits he prefers tea, so I brew up a pot of my favorite hot raspberry tea. We drink tea and eat cookies as we watch SUPER TROOPERS. Then we say goodnight. I admit to myself I was disappointed he did not kiss me goodnight.
