ULIMA OR RAE POV

We knew the war was on and we had won the first battle. As long as there was an Obsidian witch alive the battles would continue. We still did not know why Obsidians were wanting to wipe us out. We had come back home to Mystery Spells once all our test came back ok.

The Kitsuni's children were adopted by some of the childless werewolves couples in the Moonville pack.

Brandon and Rebecca adopted Inca (age 10), Ezrah (age 8) and Edie (age 7)
Mike and Sami adopted Sonya and Tonya (both age 8)
Kris and Camille adopted Devin (age 9) and Angel (age 7)
James and Michael adopted Abigail, Abraham and Abbe (newborn) they had been the only ones willing to take 3 newborn and not split them up.

Ivory, Timothy and Thomisina Kitsuni were given a home on Moonville Pack lands.

Pat and Trixie were adopted by Jerome and Sammie O'Leary plus their two children Michael and Adrienne. (Jerome was going to be the headmaster of the new school.)

Sarah (O'Leary) and Sean Callahan and their three children Stephanie, Brittany and Josephine moved here and was given the ground keepers home on the school property.

We all gathered at the lake for the memorial service, and had 3 boats that had 92 bodies split up between them. The boats were pushed out into the middle of the lake. I stood up and fired three shots of lightening from my tail and this caused all three boats to catch fire. I then sat down with the other Kitsuni. We all sat there with our legs crossed and holding each other's hands as we watched the boats burn into the night. When the boats finally disappeared and sank from sight. We all stood up. We went and gathered the wreaths we made earlier. We tossed each wreath into the water calling out each Kitsuni member who perished. We even tossed out a wreath for the 3 humans. We had losses 10 wolves, 6 witches and 1 vampire in the battle.

Once we had completed the call out of the 112 names that we yipped out our goodbyes. We were joined by the howls of wolves, cries witches and vampires who came to our memorial. Just before sunrise a large dark mystical fox appeared. He laid his tail into the edge of the water and a glowing path appeared. I had never seen this before, but had heard legends about The Fox Trail to the Afterlife. I could  see their spirits  rise from the water and they turned and ran up the path. Soon it was my mother and the parents of the other Kitsuni spirits left. They came up to us and gave us hugs. They told us they were ok and to continue to grow. That they would always be with us in our hearts. One of the parents stepped up before we leave we ask that each of you adopted wolf parents mark the children you are adopting. Take their wrist and at the same time bite into their wrist. This will seal your bond and connect us forever as a family." He pointed up to the sky to a constellation I had never noticed before he said. "it is called The Fox and when they miss us to look up at it. We will be there in our spirit form." After they witness their child being marked they went up to the wolf parents and hugged them. Then gave each of their children's hugs. Then turned and ran up the fox path. Then the path faded.

Once the last spirit disappeared we laid down where we were at the lake and slept. When we woke up the sun was shinning on us. Only us Kitsuni and new parents were there. We did one final yipping of goodbye and the lake around us glowed. Three splashes of water came from the lake and newborns were transformed to look like human babies. A voice came into our heads, "A final gift from your families. It will be easier for them to grow up looking like others." Then each Kitsuni kit was splashed, "you are all blessed that like the wolves raising you that you will be able to transform to foxes or wolves on their 16th birthday. Then run with their friends they make in the pack. You still won't be able to transform to any other until you mature like regular Kitsuni." Then Jedrick and I were splashed, "you two are being gifted with all the witches powers that Nash gave up to be your compere. You also have been gifted with extra magical Kitsuni magic which will become evident when we are ready to reveal it." Next Ivory, Timothy and Thomisina were splashed, "you are being gifted with knowledge of healing of many species. When the students fill the new school you will be able to help any that get sick." Finally each of the parents were splashed. "Each of you have been gifted with the knowledge and legends of the Kitsuni. This way you can help raise the kits with their ancestry and your packs." Then a wind blew and we were all dried. "Now go home and continue to bond. Start building your new life together." We all gave each other a hug and departed feeling blessed and content.

When I got home I climbed into bed next to Nash and we made love. I was surprised I noticed a fourth tail was forming on both of us.  I put a robe on and called upon Enock. After our discussion I realized how we were gaining our power so fast. Our compere was drawing on the spirit world and sending spirits who were stuck in pergitory on to the afterlife.  We would need this extra power to take on the Obsidian. With so many spirits disappearing she said she had come upon 8 more living people who had been brought to purgatory like she was. We said goodbye. Then I went and talked to Nash and we made a couple of decisions.

The next morning Nash and I packed up and we headed to the archeology dig. We moved into our tent and prepared for where we would dig the next day. That night I dreamed of cavern and us building a bridge in it. I was following a fox who lead the way. I woke up and drew the map.

I then took this map to Professor Jones. I knocked on his tent and he grogerly came to tent flap. He looked at me and said, "you do realize it is only 4:30am? We are not scheduled to meet up for  another 2 hours. Are you sure your ready to come here? I am sorry for your family death.

"I am sorry Professor for waking you so early. I did. It realize it was so early. Thank you, but I feel I need to resume my life. I already missed the first two weeks of this class. The children are all settled. I felt I should give them some time to settle in with their new families without interfering. If I am needed each older child was given a phone. I programmed in each of their numbers plus mine, Nash, Aunt Mary, Jeremy. Ivory, Timothy, Thomisina, Rory, and evening your number. This way they could be reassured they could reach whomever they knew.

Now their is a reason I came here this early.  I need to know where this cave is? We need to build two bridges right here and here." I point to two spots on a map. This will lead us to some Kitsuni artifacts. However, the humans cannot know of these artifacts. You might not believe me but this came to me in a dream. It is important that we find these things for the war to be won. Plus my Enock to be saved."

"I believe you" he says.

"You have to believe me it is not just a dream" I stumble to a stop. "You believe me? I figured I would have to work to convince you."

"While you were gone I did some study on the Kitsuni. I might even do a lesson on them in purely a mythical stand point. Example- that book and song What Does the Fox Say is actually based on Kitsuni legend. Their are legends within legends about the Kitsuni. Oh, I am sorry you got the teacher in me going. Now why did you wake me at this time? I want to know details about this dream."

"I was working at one of the dig areas. I had a fox come up to me. It's tail all the sudden lit up and it became dream like. It pulled at my hand and walked away. I looked around and everyone was still digging. No one else seem to see it. It walked back to me and pulled my hand again and walked away. So I followed it. It seemed to take an hour or more to walk to where he was taking me. He took me to a cave that was boarded up. It looked like an old mine. He clawed at the boards. I went to the boards and started to try to pull them off, but you and Nash were all the sudden there. I guess you two followed us. Neither of you asked why or what I was doing. You two just pried the boards off. We went into the cave. Nash transformed into Jedrick and lit up his tail for light. We walked as far as we could when we came across a wide and deep creek. You said, "We need to get a bridge built and you contacted Rory." Then I woke up with an urgency I needed to see you. I needed to find out where this cave was."

He pulled out a map of the area. He questioned me about all the terrain I had seen while in the dream. He then said, "there are 4 abandon mines that are within a 1-2 hour walk from here that match the terrain you mentioned. I know there is a creek that runs through the area. During the week the 3 of us will go check them out. On Monday morning my babies have their first doctor appointment. I will contact you after that and we will go to the first one. Now let us head over and get ready for the day."

"Congratulations you said babies- did your mate have twins?"

"Triplets and no one on staff knows I am a father. It is a complicated story."

[Author's note- I have been reading and talking to the author FLIRTINGWITHDEATH857 and she has been writing stories about Peter, Drogo and Sebastian. I incorporated her story about Sebastian into my story.]

We then walked out to hear a snotty voice say, "hmm, I may of been wrong about Sarah and you Professor, but it does seem bad to see you and her walking out of a tent at 5:30 in the morning. Her a newly wed. What would your husband think? Hmmm I even video taped it to show proof."

"Miss Gautier, don't make me regret giving you permission to still be at this dig as a community service project with no class credit by false accusations. We were going over some things."

Just then Nash walks out of the professor's tent. "Thank you Professor. I found the equipment we will need today." He then holds up a bag. "Now let us go get breakfast. We are having bacon and eggs burritos this morning."

The look on Samantha's face was priceless when Nash walked out. I myself had to stop from gapping at him myself. The Professor without missing a beat turned and replied, "No problem Nash. I am glad I had what you needed. Now let's go get breakfast. I am also hungry." He then turns to Samantha and says, "would you like to join us?"

Her face turns red and she turns and storms off. I looked at Nash and gave him a questioning look. "Magic hun. I woke up and noticed you were gone. I got up and went looking for you when I saw Samantha whip out her phone and start recording and seen you two walking out of the Professor's tent. I then did magic and was in his tent. I grabbed the bag on top and walked out." He holds the bag up and ask, "now just hope it has something in it that we can use since I am going to be showing the others how to use it."

We laugh and the Professor says, "that bag has some antique handmade archeology tools. I was going to introduce them in a couple weeks, but since you grabbed that bag will do it today. Take your group of students to sector h and let them compare them to the new modern tools. Then tell them that they are to write a 500 word essay about the differences listing pros and cons of  the tool they will use today and tomorrow. The paper will be due next weekend."

We then went and ate breakfast.  The Professor stood up and started to walk away. He stopped and turn, "Rae and Nash- once again I am sorry for the death of your mom, Rae. I know you are just coming back, but I need to have you guys make up the hours you missed the past two weeks. I was thinking I need to go explore some future digging sites starting this week with different type of terrain. I will have you two come with me to make up the hours. This way I can give you full credit. Check your schedules and let me know your availability. This way we can work it out the times." He then turned and walked away.

Several students started murmuring and Nash replied, "Before anyone ask Rae's mom was killed in an accident and that is why my wife and I missed the first two weekend of class. Thank you Samantha for leading the group while we were dealing with it. You will be back with your original group starting today and I will resume leadership of my group. Several in my group smiled and a few in her original group grimaced. Now my group finish eating, bring your tool bag, notebook, pencils, 2 water canteens, grab one of the sack lunches the cantina here are preparing for you. The report sector to sector H in one hour. Make sure you have you hats on. It will be hot today. If anyone can go grab a couple tarp tents from supply we can put up a shaded area for us to work in." I had 3 students volunteer. "Now I have to go get the water buffalo filled with water  and  vehicle. Bring the tents and throw them in the vehicle in 45 minutes. Since you three volunteered I will give you a ride to sector H." He then looked at the other students and said, "it is a 30 minute walk to tat sector. See you there." He then turns to me and says, "Grab my supplies along with own own and meet me at the vehicle. You get to ride shotgun with me." Then he kissed my cheek and walked away.
