SCM-Department Queens: 'The 1001 Unfinished Wishes Jobs Are Marching Grandly'

It's been a week since Kitari left her office. She wasn't coming out and the door was locked. Though, if anyone pressed their ear to the door you could hear the sounds of her pen scratching the paper and occasional pacing around the room, probably picking up paperwork, sorted out from different places. It's around the middle of the night and Leon was just coming back to pick up some work documents that Karno said he left there.

Karno: "And if it isn't there, you can ask Kitari for a spare, I suppose."

Leon: "And if she won't let me in?"

Karno: "If it's work related, she'll hand you the document, probably by sliding it under the door, or something. Kitari's crafty that way."

Leon: "Hmph, I'll get her to open the door."

Karno: "Don't. You can't even use your powers to get inside. There's wards around the border of the room. You need to get in there by door."

Leon: "I know."

*knock, knock*

Kitari: *write, write, write*

Leon: "...Kitari. Open up. I need to ask you something."

Kitari: *write, write, write*

Leon: "Kitari, don't ignore me."

Kitari: *write, write, write*

Leon: "......"

Leon: (Well, I suppose my body won't get in. I bet if I stopped her pen with my powers, she'll stop and pay attention.)

*snap*

Kitari: "...!"

Leon: (Hmph, I hate being ignored. I suppose there's some things these queens can do and some things they can't.)

Leon: "Kitari, get out of there, now. Quit ignoring me."

Kitari: "...Urgh..."

Leon: "You still have hunger, I don't know how much humanity you have, but it's enough for you to need food. Get out here before you starve to death. You don't have that kind of power."

Kitari: "...I'm not finished yet..."

Leon: "What's more important, work or your life!?"

Kitari: "...."

*clatter, clatter*

*clack, clack, clack*

Leon started hearing a chair being pushed away and slow clacking sounds of her heals of her boots. Then, with an unlocking click, she opened the door slightly enough for her to peer up at Leon. He looked down at her with an expression that was a cross between irritated and shock. Kitari was as pale as snow, her skin had literally shown white in her room's illumination. Her hair was messy and her crown was lopsided. Her clothes were crinkly and messed up. She sort of resembled a homeless adult that was kicked out by her parents because she was probably an extreme otaku, with those clothes. Leon immediately shut down the thought and pulled open the door more. She fell into his arms in exhaustion after he pulled away the door from her (she was leaning on it, to keep from falling).

Leon: "...Are you still conscious?"

Kitari: "I...I am..."

Kitari tried pulling herself up, away from Leon, but he held her down. Then he scooped her up and carried her to the palace garden.

Kitari: "Urgh...uh..."

Leon: "You need fresh air, food and water. You need to take care of yourself, or else you'll die young."

Kitari: "......"

She didn't respond. In the moonlight she looked even paler, like she was on the verge of dying right there in Leon's arms.

Leon: "....."

*snap, snap, snap*

Instantly, he conjured up simple food (meatballs simmered in tomato sauce, typical) and a simple drink (milk, don't tell Teo). He set her down inside the gazebo, and brought a meatball (stabbed by a fork) up to her mouth. At first she refused, and tried to turn her head away. So Leon grabbed her by the chin and said with force...

Leon: "EAT. Quit being so stubborn or you will DIE."

Kitari: "...!"

Kitari reluctantly opened her mouth, and before she could make any second guesses, he shoved the meatball into her mouth and she clamped shut.

Leon: "Chew."

She stared for a few seconds. Leon glared back at her with urgency and irritation. So she started chewing...slowly. Then after a few chews, she started chewing normally. Leon started relaxing when she saw that she was now finally eating.

Leon: "Okay, you can eat on your own, right?"

Kitari: "...."

Leon: "Or would you prefer that I feed you instead."

Kitari: *shake, shake*

Kitari hid her face by drinking the milk.

After having her eat and drink a little, Kitari stared to get drowsy and was trying hard not to fall onto Leon, who was sitting right next to her. He noticed her attempts to keep herself awake and chuckled to himself.

Kitari: "....?"

Leon pulled her close into a hug. With the warmth of Leon on her, she fell almost instantly to sleep. Once she was asleep, Leon carried her up to her room (next to Sailor's) and put her to bed. Leon then wondered why he even did this, then for some reason he got the feeling that since she was the Wishes Queen, his department would dissolve if she were ever to die.

Kitari: "...Ugh, Ichthys, why did you have to do that? This isn't funny."

Kitari looked around and saw that wish documents and paperwork was strewn around her office. Apparently Ichthys had fired an air horn while she carried huge stacks of papers into her office. And...this is what had happened.

Kitari: "Might as well, do what I can."

She randomly started on a couple documents, drowning herself in work. Suddenly, she heard papers rustling, as if wind currents were whooshing them by. She looked up to see that all of the documents stood up like an extremely thin and large domino army. Her eyes narrowed at the sight as she slammed down her pen.

Kitari: "ICHTHYS. SERIOUSLY. You've already created enough work for me than what I can take! It's gonna take me a WEEK to get this all done!"

There was no response, and Kitari didn't find it settling at all. Then, as she looked on from the document dominoes, she saw eye slits being cut out of each document. The papers glared at her in numbers and Kitari didn't find this pleasant.

Kitari: "OKAY! THAT'S IT! ICHTHYS, THIS IS MY WORK! STAR KING'S GONNA KILL ME IF MY PAPERWORK HAS HOLES IN THEM!!!"

Still no response. Kitari suddenly got suspicious and scared that this isn't Ichthys' doing. The office blasted white in an instant, transforming the room into a vast, white, nothingness. Kitari panicked as the paper army started for her, with their unmoving eye holes that just glare at her. At first she didn't think this was a big deal, considering it was just paper. She walked over to them and tried to pick them up, but when she got near the first one-

*SPLCH*

The nearest paper soldier went and slashed at her, cutting in deep into her leg. She immediately shot away and tried hard not to fall over. Raising her hand, she summoned fire rings and launched them at the paperwork army. They burned away easily, but it made her more guilty and nervous as she burned away more paper. Then she saw them MULTIPLYING. In utter panic she started flailing off her attacks, scared half to death to what they might do to her, since she can't exactly move, due to the slash.

Kitari: "WHAT...THE HECK...ARE YOU....?!?!?!"

She was nearing her limit, her energy being sapped by using too much power to try to eliminate most of the paper army. Suddenly, the documents whooshed once more, sticking each other together to create a humongous giant figure of a very familiar, but now very angry person. Looking down at her, probably towering above from at LEAST as tall as perhaps the Tres Spades Tokyo (57-58 floors, not including lower levels). It was a paper mache, giant sized version of Star King.

Kitari: "Oh...my...goodness gracious..."

Paper Star King: "Why hasn't your paperwork been turned in with the rest of the department? Even Leon had it in earlier than you."

Kitari: "W-Well...I..."

Paper Star King: "You have been slacking? You aren't working hard enough? Hmph, you are a human who has needs. Cease your position. You are only making the Department of Wishes miserable."

With that comment, the paper Star King raised its foot and smashed down on her, without giving her any time to react.

Sailor: "...Kitari...? Why's your door cracked open...?"

Leon: "Hmm? Oh, Sailor, pleasure meeting you like this."

Sailor: "What the-!? Why the heck are you in her OFFICE?! And why're you...!?...Wait...are you...ARE YOU CLEANING HER OFFICE!? WHAT???"

Leon: "Oh, hush, you're too noisy. No wonder you and that scorpion get along."

Sailor: "That...that...THAT'S NOT THE I-ISSUE!!! Where's Kitari!?"

Leon: "Oh-ho...? Well...sleeping in her room."

Sailor: "How. Did. She. Get. To. Her. Room?"

Leon: "Oh, I had to get her out."

Sailor: "HOW COME YOU WERE ABLE TO GET HER OUT BUT I COULDN'T. SHE HATES YOU."

Leon: "She...hates me? Are you sure?"

Sailor: "Quit smirking like your so confident. She's annoyed about your constant teasing and you're always looking down at her even though she's your queen. You think she's one of your fan girls?! Huh!?"

Leon: "...."

Sailor: "Tsk-! I'm gonna go check on her! She's probably having some nightmare about paperwork..."

Leon: "Pfft, seriously?"

Sailor: "She's crafty that way, you know..."

Leon: "...."

*****

Next day...

Leon: "Hm? Kitari, you okay?"

Kitari: "...*mumble, mumble*...the 1001 unfinished wishes jobs are marching grandly...*mumble, mumble*"

Leon: "What...?"

*****

Close ones are saying that I'm working too much and so I had a nightmare similar to this.
