☆ THE KINGS VENGEANCE ☆ Part Three ☆ Truth Be Told ☆

Sometimes sharing a desk with another employee wasn’t the best deal. You constantly had to wipe down the desk, and spray some febreeze. The woman, Gianna you believe, always kept it sticky and stinky over here! Like, you understood she worked the early morning shift, but did she have to leave syrup all over the desk?

You groan to yourself as you finally get to sit down, and get to work. Your fingers are quick to work with checking emails, invitations, passports, trials, and anything else that was also on your work schedule.

The window that sat in the middle of the whole hall, allowed some sunlight to come through. You were grateful for that too, seeing as you were human and still needed the heat from the sun.

"Hello, we are the......and we'd like to know if…...feel free to contact us at…....please, be sure to…... thank you." You read the email to yourself quietly, noting down the information to give to Aro. He didn't like looking at the computer screens, so he requested that you write all the information down and deliver it to him that way.

As soon as your pen meets the paper, you hear heels colliding with the hard wooden flooring coming your way. Looking up, you first spot the purple tight dress, and then the hair that goes past the breast. Finally the person's face came into full view for you.

"Good day Ms. Heidi. Might I say you look rather fabulous today." You winked, as she stopped in front of your desk. She held a smirk as she shocked her head at your failed attempt to flirt. All jokes aside, she knew you meant well. Noticing your clothing attire she raised a brow.

“No no darling. This old thing is just a day dress. Now what you are wearing, mmhmm uh! Baby, that’s fabulous.” She said, emphasizing that. You laughed, looking away from the vampire you grew to cherish as a sister. Heidi didn’t like you at first, for obvious reasons, but after a while you grew on her, and gave her a second chance at life. For the first time she had a friend. Not just someone who saw her as their food source, or a good time. Heidi loved you, and knew she’d give anything to see you smile.

“Why thank you Heidi. I’m sure my mates will think it fabulous too, once I take it off.” You joked, causing the vampire to nearly choke on her own spit.

“What are you writing there?” Heidi asked, noticing the note that laid on your wooden desk, and your pen that sat unbothered right next to it.

“Oh this? It’s just information about a tour group. Apparently this church choir over in South Africa heard of this amazing, historical Castle. Where many great wars of Italy were fought at. So they reached out to us, and wanted to come and visit. The only problem is, this is a choir. Meaning their disappearance will not go unnoticed, and we don’t want to risk turning them down and getting bad reviews. So I am writing the information down, and preparing to speak my ideas to Aro.” You explained, gesturing to the computer anytime it was remotely referred to.

“Well, good luck.” Heidi chuckles to herself, while patting your back. - “Thanks, cause i’m going to need it.” you sighed, going back to writing.

“Don’t be worried, nor fearful. Aro, like a snake, will be able to sense your fear. Plus, you hold a great advantage. Not only are you mated to all four of his top guards, but you also are well respected by him. He talks highly of you.” Heidi said, giving you some encouragement. You nodded and thanked her, but immediately grew anxious by her sudden change in attitude.

“Heidi?,” you asked, only to be shushed. Her eyes trailed down the hall, towards the throne room as she listened in on the conversation.

The tension in the air thickened as Aro gulped. He felt the hatred that rushed out of his coven mate like a tsunami. To save his own skin, he tried to play dumb.

“Brother, Marcus...if I may. I seem to be a bit confused by what you are referring to.” Aro said, pulling that same foolish smile. Marcus felt his eyes turn to black as he stepped back a bit. Grabbing Chelsea by the neck. Her terrified welp, caused her mate, Afton, to be quick to work. He advanced forward, trying to release his mate from the king’s hardened grip, but failed. As soon as he reached Marcus, he was held by the neck.

“What charges seem to confuse you, brother? Let's start with the simplest one. You murdered my mate, Didyme Volturi, your own sister. Do you deny it?” All eyes were on Aro now. The four elite guards stood in shock with what they were hearing. They each shared a look. Only one thing on their mind: You.

“Brother, I stand accused of such foolishness!? How dare you speak to me in such a way. That is my sister!” Aro, stood full of anger. His little charade was falling, and he didn’t need Marcus’s gift to know his four main weapons were losing their loyalty to him.

“You did do it. You did it to gain power over the Vampire world. Later you conspired with dear Chelsea here, along with the help of Caius to manipulate my emotional relationship, and make me loyal to you. Along with everyone in this room. You never cared for any of these vampires, only yourself. If it weren’t for your power hungry greed, you’d have let the twins burn, and never bothered taking Demetri from the Egytian coven.” Marcus growled out, causing Aro to shrink back a bit. All these years he’d kept his plots and scheming a secret. Was all for nothing. He allowed his gaze to leave Marcus’s and look at his guards. They weren’t looking at anyone, all eyes were on the ground as this information came in.

Marcus allowed his grip around Chelsea’s neck to tighten, “So I wonder. How will everyone feel towards you once your little weapon is gone?”

Chelsea felt her non beating heart drop. This was not the way she planned to go out. She spent many years hating herself for keeping such a secret away from Marcus. Watching him sink into complete nothingness, grieved her so. Did she deserve to die at his hands, right in front of her mate? Even Afton was completely shocked by this information. He’d always believed his dear mate to be as innocent as a dove, but now...his whole idea of her changed. Caius knew of his wrongs. He knew of the sins he committed towards his brother by not telling him the truth, but he just sat there. He dared not try to fight and play stupid like Aro was.

One day we shall all be judged by God, and our sins be punished. That day has come upon Volterra. Who shall stand?
