I lay in the darkness for hours with my eyes wide open, rocking myself, haunted by the struggling final breaths of the she-wolf across from me. Every whimper of pain and every cry for death until she finally began to choke on what I presume was her body fluids. The sounds replayed in my head, making my skin crawl.

Tears wouldn't stop flowing from my eyes. I was trapped, awaiting my sickening fate. I was in excruciating pain. My body felt like it would give out at any moment. I knew I wouldn't endure whatever cruel torture was planned for me.

My thoughts lay with my poor parents, whose last image of me would be my disheveled figure being banned from the pack. I would never even get to say goodbye to them or my baby brothers. I wished more than anything to be home right now with my family.

The door flew open. There stood a slender dark-haired man. He staggered towards me, his eyes filled with delight."You're the new pretty she-wolf for my collection." His long bony fingers reached forward to grab a fistful of my hair, almost ripping it from my roots. "I was waiting so long for you to wake up. I nearly got bored playing with the others." His cold eyes looked me up and down, "I'm going to have so much fun with you." His rancid breath made me sick."Now I have another pretty she-wolf all for me to play with." He yanked my hair roughly. I could feel his nose against my scalp as he inhaled my scent. "And a sexy little blonde at that." I let out a loud snarl. He threw me roughly, sending me tumbling to the ground. The shackles pulled at my ankles painfully."You will learn to respect me, you little whore!" His heavy fast came down hard into my face. The sound of his palm hitting my face echoed off the walls. I fell to the ground, clutching the same cheek I had burned against the silver.

He grabbed the back of my neck so tightly I couldn't breathe. Then, he walked steadily towards the door, dragging me like a dog. His cold hands wrapped so tightly around my throat I began to see black spots in my vision from the lack of air.

I began clawing at his hands, trying desperately to get him off me. "You're going to learn to be a good little puppy." He threw my body forward violently, and I rolled like a bowling ball. My head was spinning. I landed on my back, tears falling from my eyes from the pain I felt all over my body as my scratched skin scraped against the gravel floor.

I could hear him stomping about like a child. Once my head finally stopped spinning, I could see where I was. It was a small room filled with torture devices, right out of the middle ages. Claw marks and blood covered the walls. It smells like dead bodies and feces. I could see wolves and human heads hung up like trophies. I saw a mannequin head on a long wooden table. My Stomach began to twist into knots. Nailed onto the dummy's head was a human face. I gasped in horror.

I heard his evil laugh so close to my ear that it sent me a tooth-shattering chill. I felt something wrap around my neck and let out a scream in pain. It was a metal collar laced with silver along the inside. The smell of my flesh sizzling filled my senses. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks as I fell to the ground.

"You want it off, bitch? You're going to have to beg." His thin lips curled into a sadistic smirk.

"I'd rather burn my entire neck before begging you." I spit, only earning a heavy slap to the face. I felt a familiar clawing at me from the inside. Finally, my wolf began howling and growling. She ignored any feelings of pain from the silver. I put my hands on the collar, ignoring the scalding heat onto my bear palms, and tried to free myself.

The man stalked over to me, seemingly laughing at my desperate attempt to free myself. "Oh, look at this poor little pup's hand is hurt."He pulled my aching wrist towards him eagerly. The blistering heat around my neck distracted the pain from my wrist, but it still ached. My cries of pain seemed only to amuse him more. He wrapped a tight fist around my wrist, and all I heard next was the loud sound of my unhealed bones shattering. Black spots filled my vision around me. An uncontrollable scream left my voice echoing through the slummy room. Tears poured from my eyes, dripping onto the collar. My vision blurred, corrupted by black spots. I was going to pass out, and I was unsure I would wake up.

"Alpha! Alpha!" I felt the collar unclip. It fell to the ground clacking against the dirty floor. My body dropped next to it. I was in too much pain to move."Alpha, we have to go! The hunters were found dead. We could be under attack. It could be other rogues trying for a turf war." A panicked voice came from the other side of the closed door. The man scoffed angrily. He grabbed my forearm and pulled me off the ground."Let's go," he barked. My lips separated, and I wanted to call out, but no sound left me. Everything around me was so blurry.

"No, let me go. Let me go." I refused. I kicked and screamed. But in reality, I was just lifeless and unmoving. My body had gone limp numb to everything around me.

"Sir, leave her. She will only slow us down," a rumble left the man's chest."Shut it! I won't lose another one." He barked, "Let's go," My vision was too distorted to see much of what was happening around me. I no longer had any feeling in any of my limbs. Instead, I felt a pair of large calloused hands gripped harshly at the roots of my hair. The man threw me over his shoulder like a sack. My chest made contact with the torn, patchy leather.  Slipping in and out of conscience, I found myself going inconsistently through time. I couldn't let out a word. Every breath was a struggle for me. My lungs felt like they were collapsing. I began frantically breathing through my nose, inhaling as much air as possible. Desperately I let out sobs and screams, but they fell to empty ears as my words never left my thoughts. Trapped in my body, I began begging and pleading with the moon goddess for strength. But perhaps death was a better alternative.

When I finally regained my vision, I saw the outside world. For the first time in what felt so long, I felt the warmth of the sun's rays touch my skin. Three men were running towards the woods. Two of which I recognized as the hunters who had caught me. I heard the growing and howling of more wolves around me, but I didn't dare look. I was too scared.

"Just Throw her in the bitch will heal!" Screamed a scared voice. It came from one of the hunters who was getting into the truck. I was thrown like a trash bag into the cargo bed of the same truck the hunters had used to transport me here. I was shaking so violently I could swear I heard my bones chattering. Howling and growls filled the world around me. The only other sound was the car engine starting up. One of the men threw a thick tattered blanket over me. It blocked practically any sunlight from reaching me. Had it not been for the small holes ripper into it.

"Get in. We have to get out of here!" Yelled the leader. People piled into the front of the truck as it started up instantly, violently jerking toward and speeding down the forest road. The sounds of howling and yelling grew louder. I began clawing at the cover above us with any strength I had left. It was heavy. It felt like it was weighted down. The ground under began to shake and rumble with the thundering sound of paws. Wolves were chasing the truck. The truck began to swerve sharply, my weak body sliding back and forth in the dingy trunk, hitting its rusted sides. With every sharp turn, the air was ripped out of my lungs. My vision was becoming spotted with darkness once more. I needed to rest. I just wanted to close my eyes and sleep.

Stay awake. We can't give in to the pain. Let your body fight the silver. It would help if you stayed awake. My wolf's quiet voice echoed in my ears. She was so weak.

The truck made a sharp swerve and began to shake and rattle. The ground under was rocky and sharp. A loud howl ripped through the air. It was unlike anything I had ever heard. Then, there was loud yelling coming from the front of the truck. I could barely make out what was said before the car came to a screeching halt. I hit my back against the truck. The glass shards of the rear window had broken upon impact, piercing through me. Echoes of voices around fell to silence as all I heard was buzzing in my ears. I covered my ears, desperate to stop the sound. I was in agonizing pain.

My body surely couldn't go on for much longer. Loud paws slammed at the ground next to the old truck. A snarl came from the end of the cargo. The blanket was ripped away from on top of us. Again I felt the rays of daylight shower over me, their warmth engulfing my fragile body. Trembling with fear at that moment, I didn't know what to expect.

My eyes met with a giant Sandy Brown wolf. I t towered over my body, staring down at me with large black orbs, their teeth showing. Its wet nose took a huge whiff and suddenly backed away. It was unlike any wolf I had ever seen. It stood on only two hind legs. The body was contoured, almost human-like, with muscles defining every inch of the animal. Its fangs barred, almost coming out of its mouth. It looked like the lycans we had grown up seeing in movies. In the light of day, II could now see the true horror of my body. I was scattered in dark purple bruises. My father's shirt had been worn, and his clothes were nothing but ripped pieces of cloth stained with blood. The wolf began to move towards me.

Fear overcame me. I fought the pain in my vocal cords and let out a low-pitched scream. "Please don't kill me."
