Chapter 7: Peter Pan Never Fails
Amelia
I glared at the shadow as it dropped me at Skull Rock. I was to be their Nanny as they say it. "I had hopes that you would be smart enough to know what happens to people who defy me." Peter commented as I looked down at what I was sweeping. I didn't do it intentionally. I just wanted to ease his pain, honestly, but I mispronounced a word and I teleported through his timeline that intertwined with mine. I bit my cheek and continued to ignore his taunting. "Won't you talk to me?" He asked as I turned to fix the candles. They've melted so I used my magic to remake them. "How'd you do that?" He asked frowning. I continued to ignore him. He's so confusing. Sometimes he's kind, most of the time he's bloody annoying and mean! "Amelia!" He yelled as I sighed turning towards him. "Yes?" I asked after remaking the last candle. "Why are you ignoring me?" He asked annoyed. "I'm not supposed to talk to my master." I replied as I walked down the steps and I heard a swish and Peter was in front of me. "Who told you I was your master?" He asked confused. "I don't appreciate your taunting so I made our relationship from prisoner and guard to master and servant since you told me I was going to stay here for a long time." I replied reaching the last step to end up near the water and mermaids just waiting for me to dive in.
I gulped as Peter flew in front of me again and offered me a hand. I raised a brow as he smiled. "Do you want a way out or not?" He asked as I hesitantly took his hand and we flew up in the air. I stayed silent as we reached the shores of Neverland. I sighed removing my shoes and felt the sand on my feet before sitting down and looking out the horizon. I felt someone watching me as I turned to look back. It must be my imagination, but I really felt eyes on me. "What's got your face so worried?" Peter asked sitting beside me. I rolled my eyes and turned towards the sea. I wonder what it would feel like to get in the water with no mermaids in it. "Stop ignoring me." He ordered as he reminded me of a distant friend from before. He used to be so kind and sweet, but he then turned bad because the woman he loved was killed by my brother. He was stupid, but I hate how it was also my fault.
Peter pulled my face towards him and I frowned. "What?" I asked as he smirked. "Peter Pan never fails. I will get Emma's child no matter the cost." He stated still holding my face. "That is why I'll stop at nothing to delay you as much as possible." I replied looking into his eyes. "Why are you really protecting them?" He asked as I tried to pull away. "They're family and the only one I have left. I made all your stories with happy endings, but... He took it. I'd gladly change your story if it means you don't touch my family." I replied as Peter cupped my cheek. "What are you doing?" I asked frowning. "I noticed that you have the same eyes of determination my wife use to have." He replied trailing his thumb on my lips. I pulled away and stood up. "I'm not your wife and never will be." I replied wearing my shoes and walking towards the forest. I need to find a way to talk to someone in Mi-
BUMP
Ow! I fell down rubbing my head. "Amy?" A small boy asked. I looked up to see a boy on top of me. No! It can't be! "Baelfire?" I asked confused. "I thought I'd never see you again!" He exclaimed hugging me tightly. "How are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in Misthaven?" I asked frowning. "Papa let my hand go when he became the Dark One." He replied as I frowned confused as ever. "But I came from there a week ago." I stated confused. "Peter exchanged a boy with me to go there and spy on Emma aside from his shadow when he decided to give 'me' back to Papa." He replied hugging me tightly. I heard the familiar swish of wind and cringed hugging Baelfire tighter. "I see you've found Baelfire and know of my plan. It's just proof that I will never fail." Peter said landing beside us. I stood up with Baelfire behind me. "His name, what is it?" I asked as Peter came closer. "I'll tell you on one condition." He replied as Baelfire and I backed away little by little. I felt Baelfire being pulled away from me. I turned to see Kevin smirking at me.
"Amy!" Baelfire yelled as Kevin pointed a knife at his neck. "Don't." I threatened feeling power well up in me. "Ready to listen?" Peter asked as I turned to him again. "What is it you want?" I asked as he came close enough to feel his breath on mine. "Be the mother that takes care of us, like my wife used to." He replied smirking. I took in a deep breath and nodded. "No, Amelia!" Baelfire yelled as Kevin hit him with the butt of the knife. I flicked my wrist at Kevin's direction and controlled the knife towards Kevin's neck. "Hey! What are you doing!?" Kevin asked as Peter gave me a raised brow. "You have to promise me to leave Baelfire out of this." I stated controlling the knife to almost slit Kevin's throat. "Okay." Peter said as we held our eye contact. I flicked the knife away from Kevin's neck and made it come to my hand. "Dinner will be served when I call." I stated as Peter smirked and flew away as Kevin ran.
I sighed walking towards Baelfire and gently carried him to camp. He's gotten so light. I walked towards my bed and laid him on my bed as the other boys watched me. I put the knife down and got a cold towel to clean Baelfire's face. "Amy?" Baelfire asked starting to have consciousness. "Where are we?" He continued sitting up. "Hey, you're fine. I had to bring you back here to treat your wounds." I stated caressing his hand. "I'm scared." He admitted looking at the other boys. "I know, I'll protect you don't worry." I replied kissing his forehead. "Get some rest, I have to gather food." I whispered wrapping Baelfire with the quilt and kissed his forehead.
I met the child in London when I was writing Wendy Darling's story. Baelfire happened to be there when I applied as a Nanny to accompany the dog. He snored silently as I got up and walked towards the forest again to find food.
Peter Pan
This girl has so much power, but refuses to use it to the the extent even if someone so precious is around. Why is that? I watched her go into the heart of the forest and she sat in front of the stump. She took in deep breathes as the air became thin and she chanted something I did not understand.
O' etan eac aetwela beor!
I marveled as bright light surrounded her and suddenly food appeared in front of her. I frowned watching her trying to carry all those food. "Why don't you get your ass down here, Malcom?" She asked making me freeze. How does she know that name!? "I'll tell you if you get down and help me." She replied as I continued to frown. I flew down and helped her carry the food as we walked back to camp. "Peter?" Kevin asked as we laid the food on the table. "Touch any of it and I'll make sure you have no tongue to taste any of it." Amelia threatened waking Baelfire up. I chuckled as Kevin crossed his arms. I continued to watch Amelia and Baelfire.
"Amy?" Baelfire asked sitting up. "Come on, we have to keep your strength up." She said helping him up and walked towards the table. Everyone was eyeing the food and I couldn't deny that I too was hungry as well. "Okay, you can eat." She stated after getting a portion for Baelfire and herself. We ate and I smirked as the food got finished quickly. She helped Baelfire back on her bed as the boys started to leave. I flew up, but I felt a pull as Amelia crossed her arms. "Where do you think you boys are going?" She asked raising a brow. "Back to work." I replied trying to fly up, but Amelia glared harder making the weight heavier. "You want to leave? Get a move on and start washing those plates." She stated as Baelfire coughed. "Sleep." She whispered kissing his forehead and he fell asleep instantly as we all frowned at her. "Why doesn't he get to wash the dishes?" Marco asked crossing his arms. "Are you going to wash or not?" She asked staying put. "No." He replied as Amelia snapped her fingers and he raised his hands. "You don't want to wash, fine, but you'll suffer the consequences." She stated as she controlled Marco to do the dishes. Everyone watched intently including me. She looked... scary for the time being, but she seems to be enjoying it as well. What is she? I'm going to find out because I never fail.
As Marco finished he was exhausted. "W-What are you?" He asked as she neared him. "Someone you do not want to defy. Now go." She ordered as she released him and he scrambled to his feet and ran. I chuckled watching the other boys doing that as well. "What are you still doing here?" She asked fixing the table. "I want to observe you." I replied smirking. She sighed and rolled her eyes. "You know, for an old man, you're seriously a creeper." She stated smiling. I raised a brow. "How do you even know I'm old?" I asked watching her make a wire line. "What's that for then?" I asked as she finished making it. "Clothes. You boys don't change, but I do and I need them dry." She replied hanging her old clothes on it. I chuckled as she tried to reach it. She sure was small for someone of great power. "Are you going to help me or not?" She asked crossing her arms. "Answer me this before I help you, how do you know my name?" I asked leaning on the tree. She sighed sitting down.
"Well? Unless you want to stand the whole time I'm going to tell you." She said smirking. I smiled sitting in front of her. "Rumple used to tell stories about you. I didn't realize you were his father until I called you Malcom. He said that you left him for a place called Neverland. I thought you were one of the Lost Boys, but you're actually Peter Pan." She replied looking straight into me. "What are you?" I asked as she raised a brow. "I am an Author. I am from a time before you. All of you... I made you up, but my desire for all of you to be real was so strong you became real. I was so happy about it, but... a man, he was angry so he took my ink and pen." She replied looking into my eyes. "Why are you looking through me?" I asked as she smirked. "It's just... I imagined you to be so carefree and without child, not a man who wanted to stay young and leave his child." She replied standing up and leaving. I frowned catching her hand. "What?" She asked as I tightened my grip on her hand. "Tell me more." I replied as she sighed. "About what?" She asked letting me hold her hand. "About what you know." I replied pulling her back down. She chuckled sitting beside me. "Do you want to know how I really ended up here?" She asked as I caressed her hand. "I would want that." I replied feeling an unsettling feeling in my stomach.
"I ended up here because of my carelessness. I... I fell for a man I shouldn't have fallen for and my brother... The man who stole my ink and pen didn't want seeing me so broken because of man I love so he put me in here to have the adventure the man I'd fallen for promised." She replied hugging her knees.
I sighed hugging her towards me as she cried on my shoulder. I smoothened her hair as she stopped crying. "May I asked what happened to him?" I asked after she cried. "He died... A close friend of mine killed him." She replied hugging my torso. "I told you how I knew your name. Tell me the name of the boy you sent back." She stated as I sighed smiling. "You're a cheeky girl." I commented as she hugged me tighter. "He's name is Mickey. He's the best impersonator out of all my boys. He's watched Baelfire for a long time and has adapted is actions quite well." I replied as she sighed still hugging me. "You have to get back to trying to get Henry and I have to go take care of Baelfire then try and stop you from getting my grandson." She stated sighing. "Our." I replied as she pulled away. "Our?" She asked frowning at me. "For everything to work... For my plan to work, I trapped Baelfire in Mickey. I did a mind swap." I replied as she glared. "And Emma slept with him recently this year? Tell me what you did for that to happen now." She ordered taking me by the collar. I closed my eyes regretting. "A curse linked to us." I replied opening my eyes to see her let me go and backed away. "You don't mean...." She trailed off covering her mouth. "Yeah, pretty much." I replied biting my lip. "I... she... WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!?" She asked frowning. I chuckled as she turned. "It wouldn't be a curse if I told, would it?" I asked as she glared even more.
"I was sad and angry and you took advantage of me which proves what I believe about you, Malcom." I cringed as she started to walk away. "Wait." I called clenching my fists. I never fail and I want her for myself. She stopped without turning. "There's a way to reverse it." I stated as she turned and crossed her arms. "How?" She asked as I walked towards her and put my hand on her stomach. She was about to scream, but I kissed her to shut her up. We kneeled together, pulling away. The things I do for things I want, but she isn't a thing. I felt weak as I laid on the ground. "Peter!" She exclaimed hovering over me. "Shhh, my head is aching." I replied closing my eyes. "What did you do?" She asked worriedly. "Took the curse and baby away." I replied to feel lips on mine. I opened my eyes to see Amelia pull away and smile. "Thank you." She whispered laying beside me. "I'm starting to like you." She whispered closing her eyes. My plan is working. I won't lose her.
