Prologue

Shut up and read the dumbass story :3

Once upon a time in a far off kingdom, lived a young prince. And he was madly in love with a beautiful princess in the next kingdom. He would sneak off whenever he could to see her, for he sure did love her, and her him.

One day the prince's father found out and got angry. He told the prince to choose a princess in a different kingdom but he refused. So the father got furious and locked him in a tower.

He cried out to the princess but never got any reply. He was going to give up, when he found another princess that his father picked out. They fell in love even better than the last, and they were happy. The. End.

"Daddy that's a terrible story.." Jeremiah pouted at his father.

"Whaaaat? Noooo. It was a lovely story!" his father smiled, making Jeremiah pout more.

"Then what was I supposed to learn from that?" he tilted his head curiously.

His father thought for a sec before answering. "Dad is always right. Now, go to sleep." He smiled and kissed Jeremiah's forehead as he turned out the lights.

Jeremiah yawned and turned on his side. "Good night daddy." His dad smiled and closed the door as Jeremiah was left in the darkness of his bedroom. The distant sounds of maids cleaning up could be heard in his room. He smiled slightly and closed his eyes. However couldn't exactly find sleep...

He stood up and kicked his legs over the edge of the bed, standing up. He ran to the door and opened it, peeking out into the dimly lit castle hallway. He treaded down the hallway to the maid dormitories, searching for the one he was most familiar with.

Not sensing her, he walked in further, not being noticed by the many conversing and turned around. He peeked around the corner to the room where they slept and crept inside. Looking around but still seeing no sign of her, he turned around and continued on the path to the bathrooms.

He peeked inside at the many bare clothed maids and looked for her. Spotting her, he smiled and ran up to her. He poked her side, startling her and making her look down at him. He looked up at her with sparkling eyes.

"Mary, can I have a glass of milk?"

It was silent for a while. All the maids were processing what they were staring at, which was a small prince in his pajamas in the room full of a bunch of naked girls. So yeah, not a good situation...

They all seemed to scream at once, making Jeremiah cover his ears and close his eyes. The maids pushed him out and made him wait for his favorite maid to put on her clothes. Once done, she stepped out and pulled his ear.

"Don't do that again! That was a private room, never go in there again!"

"Owie!" he complained as she finally let go of his earlobe. "But why?"

"It isn't a place for little, or big boys!"

"Oh.." Jeremiah looked down, "I'm sorry. I was just thirsty..."

She sighed and bent down to ruffle his hair and smile at him. He smiled back.

She eventually lead him to the kitchen and soon sent him off to his bed, where he finally drifted off to sleep.

Meanwhile, in a distant cave...

A young boy was refusing to let go of his mother. He clung tightly to her waist and buried his face in her chest. She tried to pry his hands off.

"Vinny let go."

"No!"

"Vinsent get off of me!"

"Nooo!"

"Do you want me to lay on you?!"

"No..."

"Then get off!"

"NOOO!"

The mother sighed and let him stay. She shot an apologetic look to her husband. "Kids.. especially half dragon ones..." by this time Vinsent had screamed so angrily it burned a hole in his mother's shirt.

The older dragon laughed with a deep voices and wrapped his tail around them, dragging them closer to hug them. The boy finally let go of his mom to hug his dad and smiled.

"Scaly daddy," then giggled. The older male smiled at the child and nodded.

You might be wondering how a human and a dragon have a kid but... I like not to think about that so... let's just call it a "miracle"...

The boy climbed onto his father's neck and sat, kicking his legs into his father's side. His dad groaned and lifted him up into the air, making Vinsent cling to his neck and giggle gaily.

His mother smiled. "He gets the excitement from you."

"Don't forget the wings," he darkly chuckled.

"And my tail!" Vinsent raised his hands high in the air as he yelled this and smiled.

"Yeah yeah. Now put him down before he falls! Besides, it's time for bed." Both father and son 'awwwed' at this response. She sighed and took her young boy down from the beast, where he proceeded to whine and whimper to stay up a bit longer.

"No, you didn't eat your broccoli today during dinner, so no extra favors! Besides, you need your sleep."

"But broccoli is blugh! I want meat mommy, only meat!" he replied defiantly.

"Well, since you're half human, no. You need vegetables in your diet." He was about to interject with a but, when she growled angrily and shut him up.

She laid him down on a soft pile of leaves and forced his eyes shut. He tried to sleep but ended up getting up in the middle of the night anyway.

As he stared out at the city, he stepped a bit closer to the cave opening. He lived on a mountain so it got really cold there, but as he stepped out he could feel the warm breeze rising up from the town. He stepped a bit closer.

He could see the tiny candle lights coming from the city, which is another name for a village in his time period. Right there were many normal lives of other people like his mother. The thought fascinated him, and he stepped closer.

Now he could see the fields of the farm towns, holding the many vegetables that his mother collected from her visits there. Yuck, he thought. But then he saw the farmsteads that held all the animals, and he licked his lips hungrily. If he was quick enough, he might steal one. Just a small chicken maybe..? Mama wouldn't mind, right? He stepped onto the edge.

He held his hands out and touched the wind. It was exhilarating. He wasn't supposed to be out this far, he knew that, but still. Being stuck in the moment and being able to see so much, he forgot where he was, who he was with. How he was supposed to act.

His toes hung over the edge and he smiled. He slowly started lifting his heels off the ground and leaning forward more, standing on his tip toes. Just as he was going to fall, someone woke up.

"Vinsent!" his mother screamed, reaching out to grab him.

Confused and startled, he jumped from his spot, plummeting toward the ground. He screamed and instinctively spread out his wings. He glided to the bottom and sat there, waiting for his parents to come and get him.

After complaining about how what he did was dangerous, they obsessed over how happy they were he was still alive. He hugged them tightly and promised he'd never do it again. But you know what they say about promises...

Meanwhile in a villager house...

Yet another boy was on the verge of sleep, but not quite there yet. He sat up, rubbed his eyes, and hopped out of bed. He walked into his parents' room to find them asleep. He slightly bit his lip and creeped out of the hallway and into the kitchen.

He poured himself a glass of water from the tap and began to gulp it. Just then there was another figure in the room. He turned around and found his mom's eyes staring back at him. If silence wasn't already in the room, it was there now. And it stayed that way. For a minute.

"Scotie," she greeted him.

"Mommy," he greeted back. He slightly smiled at her and she back to him. She walked over and ruffled his hair before going over to the fridge. Scotie finished up his drink.

"What are you doing up so late, baby?" she prodded as she sipped on some cold green tea she had stored in the small icebox earlier.

"I couldn't sleep yet. Too thirsty," he replied. She 'ohed' in agreement and kept sipping. He reached for the cookie jar on the counter and she helped him get to it. He smiled at her in a silent thanks and took one from it, munching on it quickly.

"So how was school been lately?" she asked him. He silently groaned and rolled his eyes.

"Mommy, you asked that this morning!" She chuckled proclaiming she knew. "Of course you know, I'm home schooled!"

"Oh yeah, that's right! And uh, who's your teacher again, Scotie?" He giggled a bit and waved her away. "I never got an answer. Tell me Scotie, who is it this time?"

"You mommy, it's you! Ahahaha!"

She smiled and nodded defiantly. "Mmhmm. And what about your principal?"

"You." He rolled his eyes playfully.

"Right again Scotie-o! But what about your lunch lady?" she stopped and giggled a bit. "Er, lunch guy?"

Scotie bit his lip and slightly smiled. "Peter?"

His mom sighed after a while and was quiet for a bit afterward. "We talked about this Scot. He's your dad now."

"No he isn't.. Sorry mom but I just.. Can I go now? I'm still really sleepy." His mom frowned and sighed heavily, allowing her son to leave. Scotie went back to his room and closed the door softly. He slumped onto his bed and covered his head in the sheets, trying once again to forget.

And finally, meanwhile at yet another cottage,

Welllll... DANG I'M TIRED

AGHHHHHHHHHH IT'S 12:51! LET'S FINISH THIS SHIT ALREADY

SO WE'RE AT THE FUCKING COTTAGE RIGHT?!

At this cottage, lived, guess what, another boy! This boy much like the first two as well, energetic!

"Rawr! I'm a big bad nasty dragon!" The older male screamed.

"Well I'm a knight, and I will slay thee!" the boy lunged at the male with a cardboard roll and smacked him on the head with it. The man screamed and fell over, virtually dead. The kid laughed happily and shook him vigorously. "Big brother wake up! I was kidding, I didn't kill you!"

His brother pushed him over and laughed, "yeah I know." They both laugh like crazy as their mom comes in. The smaller one crawls under his sheets and the adult goes over to his bed on the other side of the room.

"You two, no horseplay. Get to bed, now."

"We are in bed mom!" The older brother complained. The younger one laughed and agreed with his fun loving role model.

"Yeah yeah, now you are but I bet ten minutes from now you'll be up playing dragon and knight again."

"Mama, can't we stay up a bit longer?" the young boy complained.

"No, you need your sleep. So do you Justin. Just because you're 18 now doesn't mean that you can stay up all night. That's irresponsible. Besides you go to the academy tomorrow."

"Oh yeah!" the adult screams. He immediately closes his eyes and snores quite loudly, sending the younger one into a fit of giggles and laughter. Their mom laughs a bit as well.

"That's a bit more realistic than your little game at least."

"Hey!" he complained, making the young boy laugh more. The mom turned to the boy and he shut up.

"You too Mikeil. Don't you wanna be a big strong night like your big brother?"

"Yes!" Mikeil exclaimed.

"Then bed."

"I'm on it!" the boy then proceeded to follow in his older brother's footsteps and snore superfluously. His mom laughed and turned out the lights, saying goodnight and closing the door as she left.

"Can you sleep little bro?"

"Nopsies!"

"C'mere."

"Okie!" The boy then got up and ran over to his older brother's bed, hopping right next to him under the sheets. The boy giggled and hid under the sheets. "Warm."

"Get out of there you little rascal!" His older brother pulled out Mikeil, still giggling and giddy from the warmth. Then it was silent for a while. "You know I'm leaving tomorrow, right?"

"Yeah," replied Mikeil, not as enthusiastic as before. His brother leaving would mean he would have to sleep alone from then on, and he would be alone with his parents for a long time, which is terrible!

"I'm gonna miss you little bro, I'll never stop thinking about you."

"Teehee, that's weird!" Mikeil laughed and Justin as well. They then got silent again.

"Are you gonna be okay on your own?" He looked over at his younger brother."

Mikeil didn't know how to reply. One part of him wanted to laugh and say he was brave. The other part wanted to cry and cling to his brother's shirt, begging him not to leave...

Finally he came to a conclusion and nodded. "I will be fine big bro! I have to be brave to be a knight, right?"

Justin smiled and looked back up at the ceiling. "Are you sure you can handle it?" Mikeil nodded. Justin was quiet a while longer. "Do you wanna cry?" Mikeil nodded once more, sniffed, and buried his face into his brother's side.

"I'm gonna miss you big brother," he softly sobbed. Justin wrapped an arm around him and sighed.

"I'm gonna miss you two small fry... Promise."

But... You know what they say about promises, right?

HOPE YOU ENJOYED! If you did, leave a like and or comment, I prefer a comment, and recommend the story to a friend! I've never done this much advertising before but I am high on nosleep and I need to get it. It's 1:19 and I just wanna relax.

But yeah anyway, thanks for watching and HAVAGOOWAH!

[Edit: Forgot to make it so Vinsent couldn't talk. Oh well, I will come up with an excuse for that.]
