"What's the true story?" Ash asks.

The true story... well it's complicated. Long story short, your world isn't the real one. It's a dieing alternate timeline. The true story, is the real one, the true timeline. For now though, you must continue to play his game. Farewell Ash.

Ash! Ash! Can you hear me?

"Yeah," Ash replies, "I'm here."

There was a bit of a cut off. What happened?

"It's nothing," Ash lies, "so, what did I miss?"

You have all of Manny's memories, right?

"Up until my creation, yes," Ash replies.

Well, I'm sorry that your brother died first of all, second of all, you must come to Gene's castle so we can discuss this quest.

"I'm on my way," Ash replies.

Ash begins through the dieing kingdom towards Gene's castle. Stepping over corpses, avoiding the enraged glares of mortals, angels, and demons. They think about Manny. They wonder what powers they will develop with the die. They wonder what kind of abilities they will develop.

They notice Phoenix outside Gene's castle, standing in the front pourch, but not going inside.

"Hey Pheonix," Ash greets.

"Who are you?" Pheonix asks, "you a mortal?"

"I'm an Outsider," Ash replies, "see, Manny died so I'll be handling the second quest. My name is Ash. Nice to meet you."

"Pleasure's all mine," Phoenix smiles.

"What are you doing here anyways?"

"I was gonna ask Gene out," Phoenix sighs, "but got really insecure at the last second. I just can't seem to do it."

"Come on," Ash smiles, "you two would be cute together."

"He was cute with Sour too. What if I'm not enough to replace Sour? What if I just embarrass myself? With his brother gone, he is basically God. Embarrassing myself to someone like that would not be good."

"What do you mean he's basically God?"

"Didn't you know? Edgar called himself God. They're the same person."

"So Gene's brother..."

"Yeah. He was basically the brother of this world's God."

"That explains a lot. Anyways, I gotta handle the second quest so, see ya later."

Ash begins to head inside.

"Wait," Pheonix stops them, "I need your help. I don't know how to ask Gene out. What should I do?"

Ash thinks, they have a choice to make.
