"Well," Ash suggests, "you could always try to impress him by killing Reaper."

"Huh," Phoenix replies, "not a bad idea. I'll give it a shot."

"Come on," Ash smiles, "let's go get the details of our quest."

Phoenix it the first to walk in. To them, Gene offers a distant, indifferent wave as he sits on his throne, deep in thought. When Ash enters, his distant expression changes. His hands begin to shake and his eyes go wide.

"Ah," he forces a smile, but his eyes don't change.
