Chapter Three

Grrrruuuuumbbblleeee~~~~

"I'm so hungry..."I groan and stretch.

"Me too..."Gajeel groans. "This is all your fault...I was being fed just fine..until you came."

"Shut up..."I scowl and slide back down to the ground.

"You're pretty scary when you're hungry,"Gajeel comments. "Even scarier with that makeup all over the place. And man..your hair is a bird's nest.."

"I don't want to hear that from you.."I look up at the ceiling, water droplets continuously falling. His hair had managed to stay intact through the last 24 hours. I hated him for that. My hair was hard to tame, I usually liked keeping it at shoulder length. But father had made me grow it out.

Grrrrummmbleeee~~~

"Shut your stomach up!"Gajeel exclaims angrily.

"It's not my fault..."I scowl even more. "It's your stupid brother's fault."

"All you really have to do is say you'll listen to him without question. And he'll be a happy man."Gajeel shrugs. "Once you're out. Do send me some food."

"I'll never beg to be let out of here!"I say stubbornly. That wasn't in my blood. I didn't care if he was the King, never!

"Then let's both rot here together.."He deadpans. Just imagining our corpses made me shudder.

"I'm not planning to die here. My father will soon ask for me, then I'll be out of here."I say, though I really doubted he worried about me. He was probably busy shaping Lucky up to be the successor to the rail roads. Which brought a sense of satisfaction.

"Daddy's princess?"He snickers. "You're going to wait for little daddy to show up and rescue from the devil's spawn?"

I...What could I say to that? I was really hoping he'd come for me. At least once in his life time he could be my hero. I laugh pitifully to myself, as if that ever happen. My father? He'd best be suited for a villain role.

His face drops into a serious one. "You aren't serious are you?"He sighs. "Your father can't be saving you all the time."He means toward me, his pierced brows furrowing. His red eyes looking into my brown ones. He was handsome, his bad boy look fitting him perfectly. His gruff voice and tough look completed the whole look. He flicks my forehead. "Don't daze off. My little brother likes preying on weaklings."

"I'm not a weakling!"I huff and flick his forehead back.

"Oi! I'm far above your rank. Don't go flicking my forehead!"He points at me accusingly.

"Then why did your brother call you a peasant?"I ask with a small smirk.

"Don't."His tone murderous. "That's none of your concern."

I flinch and blink repeatedly. His mood had changed drastically. He didn't speak to me for a while after that. I held onto my growling stomach, but how long could I hold onto this thing!?

"Oi!"Gajeel shouted, banging on the cells. "Get me the hell out of here before I kill you all!!!"

"Eek!"The guard squealed like a little girl. "I-I ca-can't d-do that...Gajeel-sama..."

"If you give me some food, I promise to make your death quick..."Gajeel smirks darkly.

"Ki-Kin-King-sama ga-gave specific orders..."The guard stutters, frightened.

Well anyone would be scared of his face..

Gajeel huffs and leans against the wall. "What are you in here for anyway?"

I fumbled with my fingers, suddenly shy. "I called him an idiot..."I say quietly.

Gajeel stays quiet for a few seconds, before he sputters and cackles like a madman. He was loosing it!!!!

"Yo-You called him an idiot!!?"He shouts and rolls all over the ground. So much for being a Prince... "Oh this is good!!"He slaps his thigh. "This is amazing!! What was his face like? I bet he made that dumbass face!!"He guffawed.

"It's not all that..."I say and look down to my feet. I had tossed my heels to the side, my manicured toes were dirty. Blegh. I needed a shower!

"No one other than our family has ever insulted him!"He wipes his tears. "Oh man, that is great! That baka!! You sure are gutsy blondie. I shall call you, bunny girl!"He points his finger at me with a grin.

"I thought you had already made up your mind about calling me that...Gajeel-sama..."It felt awkward calling him that.

"You can call me Gajeel."He flashes a proud grin. "So bunny girl, what's your name?"

"Lucielle Heartfilia."I say, I WANTED some sleep. I didn't sleep at all, the cell was cold. I wasn't even offered a blanket or pillow! I tried stealing Gajeel's, but he wouldn't budge!

"Lucielle Heartfilia...Nice name..."He muses. "I heard of that name somewhere before..."He hums deep in thought. "Lucielle Heartfilia...Heartfilia...Rail roads...Heartfilia Railroads...The Heartfilia family, second richest in the country...WAIT!! You're that idiot's future wife!!?"

I nod slowly. "Mhm."

"No way! What are you doing down here then!? You're to be the future Queen!"He exclaims. "That idiot...his ego will kill him someday..."

An awkward silence taking over, I was sure the guard had passed out a long time ago.

"Well, I can't have that idiot have all the fun anymore, now can I?"Gajeel mutters, rolling his shoulder. "Step back bunny girl. Wouldn't want to bruise your already ugly face."

"The nerve—!"My eyes bulged out of their sockets.

Creeakkk...

The bars cracked loudly as Gajeel punched at them. "What the hell are you doing!?"I panic. His hand was going to break anytime soon!! I held onto his arm, pulling him back.

"Let me go! You're so annoying!"He shouted and pushed me back. "Damn! As if this would even scratch me..."

I stood back, watching as the bars amazingly cracked with his raging force.

_____

Loke knocked on the large doors. He was worried about the blonde's future. He had thought it would be OK to let her go into a Royal's home, being a noble and all gave her a lot of advantage. But he was nervous somehow..

"Come in,"Jude's gruff voice boomed. As much as he didn't want to admit it to himself, Loke knew Jude missed the blonde's rants and shouts. Her laziness and her stubbornness. Everything of her was to miss.

Even Lucky hadn't been acting the same, always stuck in the library, she loved reading. In that Lucy and Lucky were the same. Loke pushed the door open, he fixed his suit. He never needed armor, he was much more agile in his suit. He was trained to be the perfect guard for Lucy, he had been devastated when he heard the news that he would now become Lucky's personal guard. He had stayed up all night thinking about Lucy and her safety.

"Good afternoon sir,"Loke bowed his head slightly.

"What is it Loke?"Jude asked without looking up, he was busy signing all the paperwork for the continuation of expanding his business. He was ambitios, Loke respected that of the Manx

"I have come here to request a change.."Loke said with a heavy chest. He depended on his job as a guard for the Heartfilia's. Jude was a ruthless man. If he chose to fire him this very instant for even questioning his motives, then he'd be done for.

"A change?"Jude echoes. He looks up and sighs. He pushes his glasses over his hair. "Why would ever request a change, Loke?"

"I...I am worried for Lucielle-sama's safety.."Loke admits. "I have been by her side since I can remember, I...It doesn't feel right to be here while she is surrounded by strangers in the Capital."

Jude stands, crossing his hands behind him. "Loke...there is not a single thing to worry about my daughter. She can take care of herself."

"I know she is not one to give in. But she was never taught magic, nothing to protect herself! Now that she is to be the next Queen, she is bound to be a target for everyone around her!"

"She was never taught magic because there was never a need to do so."Jude says simply, turning to look at him. "Since you are almost like a son to me, I'll let you in on a secret. Sit."

_____

"Why won't it activate!?"Gajeel shouted angrily. His hands were bloody and his hands were shaking in pain. The bars had bent at his pure strength, I stared in awe. But we were still stuck in here. He continued punching at the bars restlessly. "Damn it! I never had a problem before!"

"Stop!"I shout. "Just stop it already!"

"Gah!"He pulled his hand back. "I never had a single problem with my magic!"

"What are you talking about!?"I exclaim. Blood dropped from his hands. "You hurt yourself enough for nothing!"

"My magic, I don't get it. Did he have a witch to enchant a spell on me while I was sleeping or something!?"He growled. "My steel won't generate."

"Your...steel...?"I question confused.

"Yes. My skin turns into a layer of steel, it gives me double my strength. I should have been able to break these flimsy bars from just one punch!"He clenches his fist.

"Uh..."I had not idea what he was talking about.

"You're both annoying to deal with...I had better things to assist rather than being here..."Gray walks into the large space. His face was rid of emotion, his eyes held no shine it scared me. "You tried breaking the cell again, Gajeel?"His eyes darkening. "You never do change, do you? Pesky little rat."

"Pesky little rat!? Eh!? Who the hell do you think you're talking to!?"Gajeel shouted. "I'm going to kill you with my steel!!"

"You can't even break the bars anymore. Your magic must be failing, just like you fail at everything..."Gray smirked cruelly.

"Hey..."I called out, not liking where he was taking this. "That's enough, he's still your br—."

"Who let you talk, dog?"He glared coldly at me.

Dog..? DOG!?

"Dog?"My mouth twitched. "Who do you—!?"

"Who do I think I'm talking to? A useless pitiful dog."He says.

I grab onto the bars, my teeth clenched. My hands shaking in anger. "You—."

Gajeel grasps my shoulder tightly. "Don't, he likes stirring people up. It's not worth it."

His face was serious, he was not playing around. There was way too much hostility between these two. "Sick bastard!"I bang my hand against the bar. "Ow..."

Gray leans forward, his perfect face nearing me. "Guards. Get this dog out of here. Take her to the kitchen, I want a meal. I haven't had breakfast. Understood, dog?"

"I'm not cooking for you!!"I shout and step back. The guards walking into the cell, I didn't even know how to cook to begin with! I couldn't cook even if my life depended on it! "Gajeel!!"I scream and stretch my arms out to him as I was forcefully being pulled out of the cell.

"Let her go..."Gajeel mutters darkly. Cracking his knuckles. "Tell them to let her go, damn it!!"He flashed his perfect white teeth at Gray.

The guards force me to stay put next to Gray. Who used me as an arm rest. "Did my little dog satisfy you that much? Did she please you enough that you'd stick out your own neck for her? Do you not know your place, peasant?"Gray sneered. "Just know I let you have her this onc—!"

My hand stung as I pulled it back. My hair shadowing my eyes, I didn't even want to look at him. But I did, I wanted to see the look he made. An angry red mark over his cheek, his face turned to the side, shocked. Everything was silent.

"Your pretty face is but a waste for the disgusting man you are."Is all I say before I find myself being pinned harshly onto the cold hard wall. My head banged against the wall, causing momentary dizziness. I loose my breath by the impact.

"You're going too far, Gray!!"Gajeel shouts.

"You are a nobody, Lucielle Heartfilia. All you have ever done for yourself is be a nuisance to your father. That's the only reason he sent you here really. Because you had no future, other than being a leech and sucking away at his money to your heart's content. Buying all of these expensive gowns, make up, all being wasted on a nobody. Jewelry that does nothing but bring out your inner ugly self. You want to talk about me? Don't make me laugh..."Gray scowled. "Your father lost my respect the moment he threw himself like an insect to the proposal that you become my wife. All so he could make his business prosper even more..."

"You can talk about me all you want..."I say lowly. I glare at him, I had never felt such hatred for someone. "But don't you ever speak of my father!"

What did he have against me!?

He pushed me even harder, punching the wall next to my face. I stared shocked at the hole he had created.

"Why won't it activate!!?"Gajeel roared as he pushed at the bars that held him captive.

The guards stood idly, watching the whole thing unfold with wide eyes. They wouldn't do anything, they were cowards.

Gray stood and dusted his hands. "Guide her to the kitchen."Is all he says, he leaves the space without uttering a single thing.
