Chapter 10.

The throne room was silent, everyone seated held just one thought in mind.

The day had started off well, as everyone went about their daily activities until the news stroke them unexpectedly.

Everyone made their way into the golden room to meet Lord Xrysos as he paced the floor.

Anderios walked towards the King and held the man in his embrace for a while before he too went to join the others.

Silent befell them again.

Even Linus lost his voice.

Gouria gripped strongly at the woman's shaky yet sweaty hand. Her breathing hoarse as it flowed out of her opened mouth, tears streaming down her eyes like a fountain as she struggles to keep still even though every movement she made felt extremely painful.

Gouria almost regretted been here with the woman as his soulmate had warned, but he knew she needed him and he has to be here with her.

It was the pain in her eyes that tears him apart as he watched.

It seems to be taking longer as the women suffered in her pains alone.

Gouria gripped onto her hand tightly and shut his eyes, giving the woman the peace that she needs.

He felt her relax, and her breathing steady.

A few tears rolled down his eyes and he smiled, but the smile upon his face froze the moment he heard the gentle cries of the one they have all been waiting for.

Gouria opened his eyes and stood up, his hands fell out of the woman’s grips as he sauntered out of the room.

Anderios caught sight of his lover and slowly got up staring into his lovers' tears filled eyes. He could swear he had never seen his lover held so many tears in his eyes before.

He quickly walked towards the man and hugged him tightly into his strong chest. Anderios pulled away from their hug so he could take another look at his lover. His eyes filled with tears as drops after drops rolled down his face. Anderios pressed their lips together and kissed Gouria as his life depends on it, and soon he was kissing Gouria all over the face as the other laughed warmly.

“Ria?”

Gouria took his eyes away from his soulmate and fixed them on Xrysos Who stood just a few feet away from them.

Gouria looked around him and found almost everyone gathered and seated in the throne room. A smile split his lips and a few tears escaped his eyes.

“You have a son!” Gouria cried.

Men cheered as Xrysos crushed him into his chest while showering him with kisses just as his soulmate had done.

The cry of the baby had Xrysos pulling away from Gouria.

Everyone stood up as the midwife held the naked baby in her hands.

Xrysos laughed although his voice sounded more like he cried instead.

He gently walked towards the woman and carried the child in his hands, holding him strongly and protectively in such a way that anyone gathered around could see the love he held for the newborn.

“Elena?” He asked the midwife.

“She is well, sire!” The woman smiled.

Xrysos turned around to face others. The child still in hands, he raised the newborn up so they all could see and he smiled.

“Brothers and Friends! Let us welcome the newest member of our family. My beautiful Prince Helios!”

None of the men gathered smiled without tears in their eyes.

Remembering his beautiful love, his heart stopped and very quickly he gave the child back to the midwife and stumbled to his throne.

There he sat and cried bitterly.

Gouria noticed the king. He left his lover and went over to the broken man.

“Sire?”

Xrysos stared into Gouria’s gentle gaze and forced a smile.

“Ria, how much longer?” Xrysos whispered so low that it almost hurt Gouria’s ears.

Gouria held the king’s hand into his and immediately their hands touched Gouria inhaled harshly and shut his eyes.

And so did the King.

“Mon?”

The sleeping man tossed around but soon went back to sleep.

Having served all night long, this was the time they sleep.

“Lover?”

Damon’s eyes slowly opened and standing a few feet away from their bed was the man of his dream.

He knew it was a dream as usual and so he gently got out of bed and went to stand before the godlike a man.

“Mon!” Xrysos crushed the man in his embrace. “Forgive me, lover.”  Xrysos raised the gorgeous face up so he could stare into those eyes. In no time his mouth had made a home once again on his lover's lips and Damon moaned his excitement into the burning kisses of the man that held him in such a way that he was certain he would melt away into thin air.

Xrysos forced their lips apart and burnt lust-filled eyes into those of his lover.

“What is this place called?”

“The Pits.”

Damon whispered and as soon as he had said those words. He felt a cold breeze around him, he wrapped his arms around his chest and shut his eyes, but when he opened them back up, he saw emptiness was the man previously stood.

He Crunched low on his knees and cried softly.

“Damon?” Erin jumped off the bed and rushed over to comfort his dearest friend. “What is the matter Damon?” he whispered into the sobbing man’s ear and kissed his hair.

“He was here, right here, and he left me again!” Damon cried harder.

“He will be back, he always comes back!” Erin assured as he squeezed the man tightly into himself.

Xrysos choked on air while Gouria collapsed into his lover’s arms who caught ahold of him before he hits rock bottom.

“Do you feel alright my love?” Anderios asked and watched as Gouria’s eyes gave out in obvious exhaustion.

He carried his sleeping lover into his room and laid him on the bed before rushing back out.

“Where is he?” Both Dylan, Aron, and Roman echoed at once.

They all knew the King had seen something.

“The Pits!” Xrysos Spoke as anger flared in the depths of his deep blue eyes.

Roman growled, his own anger shone in his eyes.

“Who dares send my own lover down into the Pits?!” Xrysos yelled in blinding rage.

“What do you say we go pay our homage,” Roman smirked, staring at the two men right in front of him.

Both Dylan and Aron wore the same wicked smirk.

Anderios stared at his King and smiled, and the King returned his smile.

“Let us make plans!”
