BEGRUDGED

Chapter 11.

*******

It has been three months the Queen heard the sour news of her once-beloved husband's newborn son.

The sudden news when it reached her marred her expressions so much that it could spitfire, and now she seeks the death of Xrysos more so now than she ever did before, only difference been. She will kill him and his entire household.

She raised another's a child as hers only for Xrysos to impregnate some whore and have a son by her.

The irate Queen sat atop her throne boiling with so much anger and hate.

"He would not be the true son of his father if he did not follow in his grandfather's footsteps!"

Atlas eyes met those of Gaad and she let out an incandescent strong breath as she sat up and then walked over to Gaad.

"You came at the right time." Her voice void of emotions.

"Indeed," Gaad hugged her. "These things should not bother you as long as you have me by your side."

Atlas pulled out of their hug and stared into Gaad silver eyes. "How I hate Xrysos for all the things he did to me!"

"We will conquer the Gates, sister." Gaad smiled.

"But how?!" She glared back at him, incensed. "We have done everything and yet we could not get the wish maker killed. I have sent men, and all had either been killed or returned unfulfilled!"

"I am starting to think, he is become invisible, like the winds!"

Both Atlas and Gaad turned towards the voice.

Athesmos had just entered into the throne room by his side were Vin the gossip and Dan.

"Even the winds get trapped by me." Gaad retorted.

"Then trap him!" Athesmos bawled. "Another child has been born of a whore!"

"Even worse, a common slave!" This time it was Atlas who had spoken.

"Where is the princess?" Gaad asked, obviously unconcerned with their rants.

"Send for the princess!" The Queen commanded one of the guards. Her eyes not leaving those of her cousin's.

"Gouria would die by the swords of your daughter." Gaad gave her a stern glare.

Atlas swallowed loudly and blinks her eyes a million times. "B-But how?!" She whispered, her anger flew out the windows in no time.

"Sound the drums of war, let them know you are ready. Then leave the rest for Gaad!" The Dark Lord spoke calmly and turned to welcome the princess as she had just walked into the hall.

"Uncle!" Zara yelled and ran into the man's embrace. "I have missed you so much!" She laughed excitedly as the man twirled her around.

"I have missed you too dearest," Gaad laughed and gently put her down on her feet. "Here, I have a gift for you." Gaad opened his palm and very beautiful necklaces appeared on it. He gently placed the jewelry around her delicate neck and watch as she giggled and squealed with delight.

"It's beautiful!" She admired her neck. "Diamonds!" She smiled.

"You are a beautiful princess, now go show off to your friends, I have unfinished business with your mother!" The word barely left his mouth and the princess was almost out the door. "How old is she again?!" Gaad laughed.

"Sixteen," Atlas answered. "Why did you give her that jewelry?" She asked, her suspicious eyes glued on Gaad.

"That is the portal, to bring her before me when the time comes!" With that said, Gaad vanished before their presence.

"Well, what are you waiting for?!" Atlas asked Athesmos. "It is war!"

Athesmos laughed and walked out of the room.

The King was beyond frustrated as they could not find his lover until now.

They had gone to the Pits, killed all they saw and brought the slaves back to the gates with them and yet Damon was not amongst the slaves.

Although he had been there a day before they had reached The Pits. Lord Xrysos was enraged when he was told that another had bought his lover the day before.

Xrysos lost his mind to the blinding rage after hearing that from the man, he cut his head clean from his neck only to regret doing that after he realized he did not inquire the whereabout nor who had bought his lover.

A regret that has been tormenting him ever since that day until now.

He should have asked.

Why did he not ask?

Regrets.

And it's been months, yet no news is to come and Gouria had gone back to square one in the search for him.

"What have I done?!" Xrysos banged both hands on his glass table, almost breaking it in two.

"My Lord!" Dylan rushed into the room to find the King's chambers in complete disarray.

"Send Gouria to my chambers right now!" The King yelled and Dylan was out the door immediately.

*************

"Anderios I think you should come with Gouria to the palace right now!" Dylan suggested to the other man.

"Right behind you."

They journeyed the short distance back to the palace and into the King's private chambers.

There they found him standing, his hands pressed against the walls and his back turned towards them.

"My Lord?" Anderios called gently and the man turned tear-stained eyes to him.

Anderios felt bad for the man and he went to comfort him.

"I need him, Anderios!"

"We will find him."

"Until when?"

"I felt him last night." Gouria's soft voice caught both men of the guard as they stared at him.

"So that means, he is still alive?" Dylan asked.

"Yes, Yes he is!" Gouria replied.

Xrysos smiled. "Where is he?" He asked.

"I am not sure, but he seems close," Gouria replied.

"Close?!" Both Anderios and Dylan asked.

"Yes, unlike when he was at the pits, I felt his presence and it appears he is a lot closer to us!"

"Send out warriors into every neighboring Kingdoms round about us and find him!" Xrysos ordered Dylan who was out the door in no time.

"Ria," The King called and the younger boy walked closer to him. "You are my light." He squeezed the man in his embrace and Gouria moaned softly.

"Indeed he is." Anderios agreed and joint his lips with the kings.
