(Irene’s POV)

I stand in the shower for what seems to be forever. I stare down at my perfectly polished toe nails watching the water run down to the tile of the shower into the drain.

I no longer have a home. The only place I can call home is here. I turn my attention towards the ring on my right hand. Will I ever see Wendy again?

I softly cry to myself tasting the salty tears as the water continues to wash them away. I miss Wendy and her family. What about my dad? What happened to him? I know I shouldn't care but he is my father. My only blood I have left.

I lean against the shower wall letting the hot water fall down my pale skin relaxing my muscles. I hug my knees to my chest leaning my head up closing my eyes.

I just wished my life was actually perfect. I feel so stuck with Jongin, but he is very handsome. But just because he's good looking doesn't mean he can do whatever he wants. Who is he? More importantly why am I here?

Standing up I finally turn the water off exiting the shower. Drying myself off with the towel that was placed on the counter I'm met with my reflection. I don't know whether if it's the hot water, anxiety, or Jongin but my skin is glowing.

I'm still covered in bruises yet I don't feel hideous. I shake my head slanting my body to the side drying my hair. I felt eyes on me and I quickly turned around.

There's Jongin smiling leaning against the doorframe as he stares at my naked body.

I quickly cover my whole front with the towel staring at him wide eyed. This has to be a nightmare. I see his eyes shift towards the mirror tilting his head licking his lips slowly.

I look toward his direction and there it is my butt completely bare and exposed to his eyes. I gasped and quickly ducked down sitting on the ground feeling my cheeks heat up.

He shakes his head chuckling looking down. “There's robes placed inside the armour in case you wanted one.” he turns his body around and slowly says “meet me in the bedroom. I'll be waiting on the bed for you.”

He exists closing the door behind him. My heart is beating so fast, like it's going to jump out of my chest. Oh my god he saw me completely naked. He wants to meet me in his bed? No no no I don't want to have sex with him. Well not yet anyway.

What am I thinking? I get up quickly and grab the robe where he directed me they will be at. Tightening the robe into a double knot I exit the bathroom with trembling legs.

Oh god oh god why does he want to meet me in the bedroom? I walk into the room and see him standing next to the bed with his hands in his pockets and the top of his shirt unbuttoned. He is a beautiful person. He softly smiles into a nervous shy one. What is he planning to do?

Walking towards him he directs me towards the bed. I hesitated for a second but then gave in. I sat down slowly on the edge of the bed he stands in front of me and squats down hovering the ground.

He tries to search my face, trying to make eye contact which I don't give in to. How could I? He saw me naked. He tugs a strand of my wet hair and places it over my ear. I look into his eyes and see a hint of hope. A hope that he has deep down.

He noticed that I could read him and quickly cleared his throat and sat down next to me.

“Don't worry I wasn't planning on fucking you tonight.”

I gasp at his words, “how could you say those words so loosely? They feel so graphic.”

He smiles, “for one I'm used to speaking like this and another I like seeing your reaction. It's different.”

I look at him from the corner of my eye and I can tell he's looking at me. Not my exposed legs or the robe but actually at me. I make a nervous laugh trying to hide the fact that I have butterflies.

“Where's my room?” I turn my head towards him.

“What do you mean?” he looks puzzled.

“You said I live with you now. And by the looks of this place I guess I should have my own room shouldn't I?”

“You're a smart one Irene. You are correct, you do have your own room but the thing with that is you'll be sharing one with me instead.” I stare at him wide eyed.

“Where will I sleep?” I say with my heart racing.

“In bed. With me. Only me.” He says tilting his head giving me a seductive smile. I could feel the heat from my cheeks rising and my lips parting.

I feel warm down there and quite tingly I don't understand the feeling but I have an idea that I will one day.

“Do you think it's possible I can know more about you?” I say with a nervous voice, “I am sharing a bed with you and I would like to know who I'm sharing a bed with.”

He stares at me in amusement, “Wouldn't we all?” I shrugged and smiled at his words almost not catching his joke.

“Well my name is Kim Jongin. The twins call me Kai because that's my business name. Some know me as Jongin and others as know me as Kai. The twins you met are drug dealers and I myself am an arms dealer. They buy whatever they need from me for their men and also they give me good rep for their allies. But in order for me to walk around free I purchased old clubs and make them very successful which looks like how I earned my money. The more money I got I started to build hotels as well, including a restaurant.”

I took a sharp intake of breath. That was a lot to take in, but at the same time it doesn't surprise me. “What about your family?”

He shakes his head and turns it into a sad smile, “one day I'll share my family life the moment you share yours with me.”

I shivered at the thought. I never told anyone anything what I had experienced since I was little. I do want to know Jongin more and I understand that it will cost me to tell him my story. Maybe one day just not today.

I softly yawn stretching my arms in the air. He kisses my cheek, “let's sleep.” Nodding I crawl across the bed towards the soft comfy pillows. Resting my head Jongin pulls the soft blanket over us and pulls me into his chest as my back faces him.

He kisses the base of my back and softly said with a deep voice, “Goodnight Bae Irene.” I close my eyes falling into a deep sleep.
