Author POV:

For some unknown reason, Butch has been avoiding Buttercup. Buttercup was beginning to think negative thoughts since she's been seeing Butch having his arms around the princess more often.

Buttercup would always try to talk to him or ask if they could hang out, and his response was the same, an excuse and a lie that would depress Buttercup.

Everyone was beginning to see less and less of Buttercup nowadays, and it was worrying everybody, even Butch. Even if he doesn't show it

Buttercup wipes her small tears and changes into something comfortable to wear, and she lays down again on her bed. The days feel like their getting worse for Buttercup even though there were only two days left till the doctor comes. Buttercup doesn't know if she'll make it with all the throwing up.

The night Butch and Buttercup were intimate, Buttercup had met again with people from England, and she felt a big annoyance seeing them. When they told Buttercup, they would be staying for a week in Townsville if Buttercup may-be changes and agrees to go.

Buttercup didn't think much of it and only nodded to them before saying one word to them.

She was the last person in her family and for having such a history with her family's name, Buttercup isn't surprised she's been asked to join others.

She lets out a sigh and was about to go to sleep until she heard a few knocks on her door, Buttercup already knowing who it was told the person to come inside.

Mitch and Robin both stepped inside and greeted Buttercup with a muffin and hot tea. Buttercup thanked them and asked why they had visited out of a sudden. Mitch gives a side glance at Robin, and Robin lets out a heavy sigh.

"There will be a proposal in the kingdom and royals are only expected to attend, not even knights or guards are to step inside the room," Robin tells Buttercup, and Buttercup's facial expression changes to confusion, "Who's proposing?" Buttercup asked. 

"Butch."

It's silent in the room, and Buttercup stays frozen.

"A private Royal proposal to the princess."

Both Mitch and Robin's eyes widen when they see tears streaming down her face, Buttercup gives a small smile and shakes her head, "It can't be! He already proposed to her! Why would he propose again? It's n-not like he loves her." Buttercup's voice keeps breaking and both knights feel bad for the sick one.

Robin shakes his head, "We're sorry Buttercup, but it's the truth."

Suddenly Buttercup feels her body trembling, 'Why? Avoiding me for weeks while I'm in bed suffering from an unknown illness, and he tries to secretly propose? Am I being forgotten? Was I just a one-time thing?'

"We should talk to him about this, let's try to sort everything out and get clear answers," Robin said, crossing his arms to place on his chest. "That's true, plus communication is the key to a healthy relationship. We can't be assuming things when we don't know the truth." Mitch said, snapping his fingers.

"No," Buttercup says, "Don't, it's not worth it, he's been avoiding me for weeks now. What makes you think he would talk to me?" Buttercup bitterly chuckles and sits up to stretch her body out, she takes the blankets off and leans over to pick up the tea cup.

"Did you gain...weight?" Mitch mumbles, pointing at Buttercup's tummy. Robin macks the back of Mitch's head, "Idiot, don't say that! That's being rude," 

Buttercup giggles, and gives them a soft smile, "Always know how to make me smile," Buttercup mumbles before her lips turning into a frown. "I'm going to make a decision, it may have to do with betrayal, but I think it would be best for me," Buttercup says, squeezing her hands into fists. 

"I don't want to continue suffering especially now knowing that the person I love, betrayed me, and left me."

Buttercup's best friends smile sadly at Buttercup, and Mitch places his hand on her shoulder. "We'll support you on whatever you decide to do." He assured her. Buttercup placed her right hand on top of his, nodding in understanding.

"Thank you."
