Chapter 12

[Not Edited]

Author POV:

Butch has been noticing that Blossom would mostly be in Butch's castle rather than her own with Brick. But what he found odd is that he would barely see Buttercup and he would mostly be with his future fiancée, and it wasn't so bad but his fiancée wasn't Buttercup.

Nobody could replace Buttercup's place in his life.

"Where's Buttercup?" The prince asks one of his guards, "She's in the garden with Princess Blossom," The guard responds, Butch grits his teeth and heads to the garden to find Buttercup.

The prince leaves his room, without finishing the papers scatter on his table. He walks down the halls, passing by all the guards standing straight and tall.  Butch didn't know why he was so annoyed, but not having the person you always depend on and feel safe can be a problem.

"Butch?" Buttercup says, with wide eyes as she sits on the swing and Blossom lays down on a blanket place on the grass. "Why aren't you by my side?" Butch asks, and Blossom sits up with her elbows placed on the blanket to support her body.

Blossom tries her best to hide her smirk, "By your side? Shouldn't you be asking that question to your soon to be fiancée?" Buttercup chuckles, and continues to rock her body back and forth on the swing. "No? I need my best friend," Butch says, squinting his eyes as to point the obvious.

"Um, no."

"What! why?"

Buttercup looks at Blossom, "I'm hanging out with Blossom and we're talking about guys, plus today is my day off guard" Buttercup said, giving a smile at Butch. "Guys? Why guys?" Butch pouts, and crosses his arms. Blossom bites her lower lip to not chuckle.

"I need you by my side though!" Butch whines, and tries to not stomp his foot. Buttercup raises her left eyebrow, "Alright you big baby," Buttercup stands up and walks over to Butch. "I have to go, Blossom, but thanks for coming." Buttercup thanks her, giving her a wink. "No problem, I have to head home anyways."

"Aren't you supposed to be with Brick right now?" Butch asks, raising his eyebrow in suspicion. "Yeah, but he's so busy with papers and other stuff so I decided to leave land and visit Buttercup." Blossom shrugs.

"There's going to be a storm, Blossom. You can sleep over for the night." Butch suggested, his look changing to worry. Blossom gives a smile, "It's fine. I'm a strong woman." Blossom chuckles softly.

"Alright, nice to see again." Butch said,  and grabs Buttercup's hand to drag her away. Buttercup waves goodbye and walks with Butch hand in hand. "What are you working on?" Buttercup asks, walking down the halls of the castle with Buttercup.

"Some stupid papers I got from the King of England, apparently my father and him were best friend's until they made a disagreement and now he wants...war?" Butch shrugs, not caring about the topic. "War?! That's big! we need to-"

"Stop worrying, it's not like they'll actually try something." Butch scoffs, and they continue to walk pass the guards.

The guards eyes follow them as they see Buttercup and Butch holding hands together.

"Right now I'm worrying about the kingdom uniting with Agustina's kingdom.  After the wedding everything is going to change since she'll be the queen of Townsville." Butch opens the door to his room, and closes it behind him, he walks over to the desk and pulls his hair in frustration.

Buttercup's frown turns to a soft smile, "I'll help, but it'll take time so get ready to be stuck in this room for hours." Butch chuckles and thanks her.

"Why were you even talking about guys? I thought you didn't want to get married?" Butch asks, out of curiosity...yeah...curiosity.

Buttercup smacks his head, "Of course I want to get married at some point of my life, I want to be with somebody until It's my time to die." Buttercup said, crossing her arms. "What's the point in marrying somebody anyways?" Butch pouts, "Uh, your getting married idiot"

"And I don't love her, she isn't my type."

"Then what is your type?" Buttercup turns around to not face him, she walks over to the nightstand and picks up the photo frame. "I...I can't say." Butch rubs the back of his neck.

Buttercup response was a hum, and she continues to stare at the photo. "We...we were so little..." Buttercup mumbles, "Do you want to go on a picnic tomorrow?" Butch asks out a sudden.

Buttercup puts the photo frame down and turns around to face Butch, what she saw made her shock. He was blushing. "Sure, out in the fields?"

"Yeah, just the two of us."

Buttercup smiles, "I can't wait."
