Chapter 14

As she gripped tightly onto his shoulders to stay afloat Gauri at first did not quite understand his words.

"Trick you?"

Only when she felt him rubbing his thumb back and forth against her cheek did she realize what he meant. Seeing him staring at her in such close quarters she instinctively turned her head to the side only to have his thumb and index finger grab a hold of her chin "You are trying to hide again...Princess?.." With the full moon shining down on them in the water the people on the bridge could only see their dark figures in the night.

Riddhima pointing on one of her guards "You! Get more help immediately!"

Samarjeet: But it seems that Princess Gauri is no longer drowning I wonder what is taking the King so long to bring her to shore?

Riddhima knew that the two in the water must be having a moment how else would you explain the two figures not moving but staying extremely close to one another. Even Ishana did not want to look because with the drugs in her system she was imagining all sorts of things causing her to heat up inside even more.

Her eyes were still glossy and having her hold onto him as if her life depended on it was very tempting. She was indeed beautiful...just like he had imagine. Hooking up his lips as he brushes his thumb across her warm lips "You make me want to take you away right now Princess." Her eyes glared back at him "Your Majesty is just like the rest..." Laughing at his physician who was so easily annoyed "What is wrong for me to want the best of everything?" Since both her ands were clinging onto his shoulders Omkara reached under the water to grab both her legs and gestured her to wrap them around his waist. "Why? Are you not taking me back to shore?" If Gauri thought they couldn't get any closer she was very wrong. With their lips just a breath apart "Why would I do that...this is a chance in a lifetime to have you depend on me to live...I should enjoy it don't you think? See..I am even thoughtful enough to be the only one to tread water to spend more time with you."

She couldn't believe how shameless this King was "You! Shameless!" Finding that it was so enjoyable to see her angry face Omkara couldn't help but tease her a bit more "Shameless? Let me show just how shameless I can be." Suddenly she felt him release his hold on her waist and the next thing she knew he had dive under and it didn't take long for her to panic once again. Everyone on the bridge was now panicking as the two figures in the water had suddenly disappeared.

Ishana: Omg! Where are the Guards?

Grabbing a guard by the collar "You jump down and help them now!!"

Turning to two more guards "you all go now!!"

Even though the guards all jumped down but with it being so dark they were all just scrambling around with no sense of direction.

Gauri was once again trying to stay afloat but it didn't take long for her to start submerging into the water. As she tried to hold her breath underwater as long as she could the only thing that was running through her mind was that "Damn King." As her mind started to wonder Gauri knew she was running out of air "I hate him!" Thinking about him even at this moment when suddenly the same arm grabbed her waist yet again but instead of bringing her above water she felt his soft lips. Though she couldn't see but she knew it was him who was giving her his breath to breathe. Soon she felt him slowly bring her back up. Feeling the cool air Gauri started to gasp for more air as Omkara laughs. When she finally calmed down she wanted to just kill the man who was enjoying tonight way too much at her expense.

Trying to dig her fingers into his shoulders to show him just how angry she was "You!"

Grazing his thumb again across her lips "Very sweet."

Pounding her fists onto his shoulders again and again "I..You!!....I should just let you die! I should just let the poison kill you! Shameless!!"

As she kept ranting on all he could do was stare at her and thinking "She is so beautiful. I really want her...I want to have her...love her....I want her heart." Taking his finger to once again put it on top of her lips to stop her "Do not say such things." Seeing him still trying to tease her Gauri bit that very finger causing Omkara to actually flinch "Ouch!" Seeing him finally wince Gauri couldn't help but finally laugh.

"You laugh when I am in pain?"

"Of course."

All of a sudden while she was still laughing she felt his palm against her face. His eyes suddenly became very gentle and his smile very genuine.

"Do not fault me for what I did Princess..it was punishment for trying to trick even me."

His palm felt so nice against her face "Could you not reveal it your Majesty.."

Seeing that she finally calmed down and was thinking logically once again "I see you came to your senses...already trying to silence me for your own agenda."

Her smile was enough to melt his cold heart "Your Majesty knows I have lots of things I need to tend to...I do not want to marry and leave my brother yet."

His brows furrowed and his grip on her waist tightened "Who will dare take you but me."

"I don't want you to take me either."

Tilting his head as he looks into her determined eyes "Will you hate me if I demanded for your hand in marriage?"

"Yes."

"What if I just killed them all...then you can come to me."

"Please don't. I told you already..."

Softly grazing his lips against hers "I know you have but I really just want to ignore it for my own selfishness."

Gauri loved how he was always so blunt to what he wanted. Never did he try to hide his desires or wants...he was truly a King.

Wrapping her arms around his necks she lay her head to rest onto his shoulders "Your Majesty I am really tired could we go back now?"

"You are no longer going to ask me to hide your true self?"

He felt her hug him tighter "The King would never allow me to be taken."

Smiling as he slowly swam to shore "You are right..I would never allow it."

With their trained eyes Dandi and Ranveer quickly left the crowd who was still on the bridge to go wait for their King. As they finally came close to shore she felt him suddenly stop. Lifting her head from his shoulders "What is wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I just want to look a bit longer."

He could tell that she had become shy but even so her hazy eyes still looked back at him. Letting out a sigh as he hooks her veil back "I can't let others see you now can I?"

"Thank you."

Curving up his lips as he lifts her up from the water and upon seeing their King rise from the water Dandi and Ranveer quickly gave Omkara his black robe.

"Here Your Majesty."

Using his body to shield Gauri from his guards Omkara turned to wrap his robe around her small body. "Lets go."

But when Gauri was about to take her first step he knees gave way and suddenly she felt herself in the arms of the King again. "Light headed?"

Nodding her head as she rubs the temples of her head when suddenly she was being lifted off the ground again. "Let's go."

"With me holding you like this no one would dare sully your name."

Gauri knew that if a guard had saved her or any of the Princes her sisters would not hesitate to cause trouble. Rumors would be flying around about how a guard had touched her while saving her or how she tried to seduce her own sister's soon to be husband. But thankfully it was Omkara...King of Mordis...who would dare to say anything bad for he would make sure the rid you of your life and those closest to you.

He knew she was grateful for his deeds as she rested her head on his chest while he returned to the bridge "Does that mean you forgive for what I did awhile ago?"

Hooking up her lips "Did you not say that was my punishment?"

Hearing him laugh made her heart skip a beat.

"Then do not dare to trick or lie to me ever Princess."

"No Promises."

Shaking his head as he walks up to the bridge where everyone started to run towards them.

Riddhima grabbing Omkara's arm as he sets Gauri back on her feet "Your Majesty! Are you okay?!! You are all wet!! Let me tell the servants to prepare you a warm bath!"

Ishana also runs to the other side of Omkara grabbing his arm "I will tell the cooks to prepare some warm soup too."

Only when Gauri scoffed that everyone Riddhima and Ishana saw the disgusted eyes of Veer and Samarjeet. Suddenly letting go of Omkara "Um..Gauri how are you? What happened?"

"I appreciate the Crown Princess's concern but I must have just fell."

Ishana: How can you be so clumsy Gauri...you are lucky that the King was here.

"Indeed I was."

The two didn't like how Omkara was smiling upon hearing Gauri's reply.

"It was my duty Princess."

All of a sudden Tia runs up to Gauri "Princess you are all wet. We need to get you back to your courtyard so that I can draw you a warm bath before you catch a cold."

Tia didn't know why but when Gauri looked at her she felt her knees suddenly shake. "Then you should escort me back to my courtyard then."

Though he didn't want her to leave his side he knew he had to.

"Ranveer keep an eye on them and report back to me if something is off."

Ishana and Riddhima was about to follow Omkara back to his room that Kali and Svetlana prepared for him when Ajay who was clearly drunk and still in the mood to get closer to Ishana "Just because the King has to change does that mean the tour is over?"

Stammering "Well..well..I did say this was the last place..."

Riddhima could see the anger in Samarjeet's eyes as she tried to find excuses to be closer to Omkara..

"I think the King of Mordis is very capable of returning to his chambers Princesses. I don't think it's appropriate for you to escort at man back to his place late at night."

"The Prince is absolutely right. I apologize. It must have been because something so unfortunate had happen during my watch that I felt it was my fault."

Riddhima sure knew how to remedy the situation just like her mother. Omkara no longer was interested as Gauri had already left so he too left without bidding the others farewell.

Seeing as how Omkara had left Riddhima started to shift her focus back to the main plan. "Since the night is still young how about we sit down to enjoy some late night snacks?"

Instructing the servants to go prepare the group once again started to chat with one another.

"Ah I see Tia left Gauri's pot of tea here." Ishana was now addicted to the tea and couldn't part with it. And while her body was burning up and her mind a bit hazy she didn't mind Ajay coming close to her at all. Even when Riddhima tried to remind Ishana that it is Veer who she is suppose to seduce Ishana didn't care. Veer was though big and strong but attractive wise Ajay was by far more handsome. It also seemed that Veer didn't even mind that his little brother was being a bit too close to his so-called future wife. As the four sat to enjoy the night view Tia was busy doing what she was told by Svetlana.

"Princess the bath is ready."

Nodding her head as she let her wet clothes fall to the floor "You may leave. I have Bhavya now."

Tia curtsied and left. Once she left Bhavya came in. "Princess what happened? You okay?"

" I am okay. Bhavya where is Khanna."

"He is watching the Queen to see what she has planned for tonight."

"Okay. You keep watch outside my door. This drug in me I need to slowly expel it out of my body."

"Okay Princess."

"Hand me my bag before you leave."

Seeing her Princess close her eyes as she sits in the hot bath Bhavya couldn't help but think "If the Princess was not so skilled I just can't imagine what could have happened."

"Bhavya... you can stop staring at me..I can feel your gaze."

"Sorry Princess I was just thinking that luckily the late Queen pushed you into following the Palace Great Physician back then...if not who could predict what could have happened."

Opening her eyes and hooking up her lips "The night is not over yet."
