Me: They say you're supposed to know at least two languages. So I took ASL.

Me: You can't get tongue-tied if you're not even using your tongue to talk.

Also me: Hola, I mean... Hello.

Kid: No, don't worry, I speak Spanish.

Me: That's not why I corrected myself.

Random fun(?) fact: I officially only know English, and I know enough ASL to hold a small conversation without speaking. I also know other languages, but only bits and pieces. And in my family, it's not uncommon for us to say something in German one moment, and then something in French the next. So I now have a habit of using different languages for certain words in my everyday life.

And that "hola" thing above? That actually happened.

I don't know Spanish. I just know a few words, and how to say "I don't speak Spanish".
