It has been two weeks since Malone and James were put in separate cells side by side. It has been five minutes since the last 'session' for Malone.

Right now, they are both sitting by the little hole in the wall. Malone was still shaking from the artificial memories put into her head. After ten minutes of complete silence, Malone whispered to James, "Can you tell me another story?"

He chuckled, "Sure." He listened as she readjusted her position so she was lying against the wall.

James took a deep breath, then started.

"There was a girl who thought her life would be normal. She thought she would finish college, get married, and have a family of her own. Then one day she met a boy. A man who was broken and lost and needed help. Little did she know at the time that her life wouldn't be normal anymore.

They had to hide away from bad people, and they ran away from the good. Day by day, night by night, the boy would fall for the girl a little more. Little did he know, she was falling for him too.

She would comfort him when he was awoken by nightmares. When he didn't know where to look, or run, he would look at her. Life with her was perfect, even if they were being shot at...

...and that's what scared him.

Then one day, their 'perfect' life was ruined by his past. It had caught them. His girl was threatened, so to spare her, he went with them.

He was lost and broken again. He had no memory of is life before, only one of a girl. Then she came back, and he hurt her. It pained him to do so, but he didn't know why. Why did it hurt him?

Then the memories came back.

He remembered her, but at that point, she was broken. Oddly, she forgave him. They both suffered, but now they could suffer together. The boy and the girl go through pain everyday, but they know it's worth it.

Because at the end of the day, they have each other." After that the story was finished, and they stayed silent for a while.

"The girl doesn't regret a single moment of it, you know," Malone said, looking through the gap in the wall. James chuckled, "And the boy doesn't doubt that."

"I love you," she said as she reached her hand through the small hole in the wall. James grabbed it with both his metal and real arms.

"I love you too," he said, bringing her hand up to his chapped lips. They stayed like that for a while until she fell asleep.

"We've been through a lot, but I'm going to stay with you until the end of the line," James whispered to her sleeping figure, "I promise."
