36 : Eunwoo & Jimin

EUNWOO'S POV

"Dahyun," I called Dahyun who is busy reading some kind of novel--wait, this is the first time I've seen her read a novel. I never knew that she has an interest into reading. I sighed and pulled a seat beside her. After sitting down, I just stared at her, waiting her to talk to me. She has been this silent since she last visited Jimin. I don't know what happened between them, tho. I wish I knew what it was so I can help the two. Their situation is honestly bothering me.

"Talk to me, Dahyun." I asked her once more, but she just ignored me. I peeked on what she's reading. Once I saw the words, I chuckled. It's an English novel and she's reading it upside down. For sure she doesn't know what she's reading. I chucklingly put down the book and then I heard her sigh. "It's upside down."

"What question of yours do you want me to answer, Eunwoo?" She asked casually. I know that she knows what I want her to say to me.

"Not to be that nosy, but can you atleast tell me what's the problem?" I asked as I scratch my nape and gave her a hesitant smile.

"There's no problem." She said coldly and stood up. She left me on that table to place back the book that she took. Sighing, I stood up up and followed her.

"C'mon, I'm your friend so tell me." I held her arm, but she shook it away. She continued on ignoring me as if I was Jimin who she fought with. Girls are so complicated, spare me. I still followed Dahyun wherever she goes inside the library and it seems like she gave up trying to avoid me.

She faced me and I smiled right away, "Eunwoo, please stop following me." My smile faded immediately upon hearing those words.

"Did Jimin hurt you?" I asked and she looked away. I knew it. "What did he say?" I asked once more and then she lowered her head, still avoiding my gaze.

"I think I'm just being immature." She said and smiled a bit after lifting her head. My heart melted when a tear escaped from her eye, but she immediately wiped it off using her hand. "Jimin knew about what Mr. Choi did to me." My eyebrows crossed. "Mina took a photo of me and Mr. Choi and told him false stories."

"That bitch." I whispered in anger. I thought Mina is an angel, but it turns out that she is worser than Satan. "Did Jimin believe her?" She nodded and my blood boiled. How can he possibly believe Mina? They broke up already! "He said some harsh things on you, am I right?"

She nodded slightly and wiped her falling tears continuously, "Yeah, but that's not why I'm hurt."

"Then why?" I took out my handkerchief, lifted her chin and wiped her tears myself.

"He still doesn't trust me. All this time, it's still Mina who he trusts." She held my wrist and stopped me from wiping her tears. She half-smiled, "Someone might take a picture again." She's right. I awkwardly put down my hand and smiled at her shyly.

"That's why you're not visiting him."

"I wanted to give him space because he might still be angry." I nodded to what she said, but what if Jimin is waiting everyday for her, right? What if Jimin isn't mad?

"Do you want to go to him later?" I was expecting her to nod, but she shook her head sideways. "Why?" I asked.

"My eyes are still puffy, for sure. He'll notice that I cried." I chuckled once I heard her answer. Cute. She giggled cutely, "Let's go."

"Okay--"

"Eunwoo," she then called my name and smiled sincerely. "Thank you for staying by my side no matter how immature I am."

I grinned widely and placed my hand on her shoulder, "That's what best friends are for." I messed her hair and put my hands on my pockets. We headed outside and went to our rooms because it's already dismissal time. "Are we going to Jimin?" I asked her once we reached our classroom. We started fixing our things as we speak to each other.

"No." She answered and faced me. I got confused all of the sudden. I thought she's already okay when she opened up things to me, but I guess she's not that okay. "Let's hang out."

"What? No." She looked at me strangely and then pouted. "I-I mean, Mina and her friends might take a picture of us and then show it to Jimin again. I don't want to be the reason why you guys will have a misunderstanding again--"

"Let him be. He trusts Mina. He doesn't care about me." I was left in shock upon hearing her reply. That's the first time I heard her say something sarcastically. "What?" She asked.

"Jimin cares about you, okay? Are you jealous of Mina?" I asked and she kept silent. I smirked and poked her cheek teasingly. "Hey, stop being jealous of Mina. Jimin will surely choose you over her." She sighed and I stopped poking her cheek.

"I will feel better if Jimin would say that." She faced me and half-smiled. "I changed my mind. Let's go home instead." She grabbed her bag and left me inside our classroom. I took my bag as well and followed her as we make our way to my car.

I opened the car door for her and I did the same to me then we both headed home.

Once we reached her house, she thanked me shortly and entered their house. I want to go to Jimin and ask for an explanation from him, so I went to the jail to visit him.

I sat on the chair provided and waited for Jimin to come. When I saw him, he looked excited, probably because he thought that Dahyun is the one that is waiting for him right now. But once our gazes met, his shoulders fell and his eyebrows crossed.

He sat infront of me and asked, "Where's Dahyun? Why isn't she with you?" I interlocked my hands and stared at him

"You know, for sure, that she's not okay, right?" He looked away and leaned on his seat. He's guilty for sure, but based on what I'm seeing right now, I can see how he regretted what he said to her through his eyes. "Don't worry, she's fine."

"Are you sure?" I nodded and it made him sigh in relief. "I want to see her."

"Dahyun told me what happened." He glanced at me right away, but looked away eventually. "How can you not trust Dahyun?"

"I-I don't know why I trusted Mina." He shrugged his shoulders. "She brought up that thing with her saying the truth as always. She knew that I'd believe her if she'll remind me that she never lies."

"Mina didn't lie, but she didn't say the truth, too." We both fell silent and then I remembered that thing about Dahyun. Personally, when I hear my special someone being jealous about another girl, it makes me feel overwhelmed because it means that she really loves me and I hope that Jimin will be overwhelmed, too. "You know what?" He hummed a yes and then looked at me. I smirked, "Dahyun is..." when he heard Dahyun's name, he became interested of what I'm going to say all of a sudden.

"Spill it, Eunwoo." He said, groaning.

I chuckled, "Dahyun is jealous over Mina." His cheeks reddened and he looked shocked.

"S-She's jealous?" I nodded and it made him grin widely. I knew it, he'll feel overwhelmed. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"In your situation..." I paused and acted like I'm thinking. "...it's both." We both laughed. "You're lucky to have Dahyun, tho." He nodded in agreement. I don't know why, but I became sentimental. "Truthfully, I wanted her to pick me as her groom. I even told her to stay away from you because you're dangerous."

"You told her that?" I nodded. Honestly, I was jealous of Jimin, but even though I was, I just supported Dahyun, my best friend, in whatever she likes. "I'm lucky to have her, but I don't know why if I deserve her."

"I think everybody deserves someone like her." I smiled at him, which made him grin back at me. "Take good care of my best friend, okay?"

He chuckled, "You're talking like your her brother." I looked at my wrist watch and told him that it's getting late. He nodded and then we bid our good byes to each other.
