OMNISCIENT

"D-Dahyun..."

Dahyun smiled at him even though seeing some of his wounds and bruises worries her. She wanted to touch those, but she can't because they're separated by a glass wall. There's a small hole carved on the glass wall, so the visitor and the prisoner can hear each other.

"How have you been?" She asked him though the answer is that he's not okay.

Jimin gulped and was not able to answer right away. He's nervous and ashamed. He honestly thought that his mother was the one who visited him, but no. He also hoped that Mina would be the one who will check him, but it was Dahyun. The girl that she hated before though she has done nothing towards him but to like him. He was also uncomfortable because Taehyung is beside Dahyun. He will be able to hear their conversation.

"I'll give you guys some privacy." Taehyung said coldly and walked away from them. Jimin sighed in relief which made Dahyun giggle a bit. His eyes went to her and felt like he was hypnotized by that giggle.

"You were just waiting for my brother to go, right?" Dahyun jested. Jimin chuckled softly and nodded his head a bit. Dahyun's grin widened when she heard Jimin's cute and soft chuckle. It was the first time that she have seen and heard it up close.

Dahyun inserted her index finger through the hole, "Hi, I'm Kim Dahyun." Jimin chuckled for the second time and took her finger. They did a handshake.

"I'm Park Jimin." Dahyun sat properly and looked at him. "Why did you do that, by the way?"

"I just thought that we haven't introduced ourselves properly, so I said my name and asked for a handshake." Jimin found it cute, but he told to himself that Mina will be angrier if she would find out that he has a chance on liking Dahyun. He told himself that Mina will be the only girl that he'll ever love. He will not swerve on her. "What happened to your eye?" Dahyun pointed his black eye.

Jimin touched it right away and half-smiled, "I-It's nothing." Dahyun seemed unconvinced. She really wanted to cure his wounds, but she won't be able to do that. She wasn't allowed to.

They went silent after that. Jimin is hesitating if he will apologize to her for all of the misunderstandings and pain that he caused her. He is still guilty whenever he thinks about it, so he tried gathering all of his courage and sighed before bringing that topic up.

"Dahyun-ah," he called her and Dahyun stared at his eyes right away. She can hear her own heart beat getting louder and faster. "I-I just want to apologize."

"For what?" She asked, but she already know the reason why.

"B-Because I have always treated you badly." He uttered and she can feel how sincere Jimin is while apologizing. "I-I'm sorry for treating you in a way that you deserve. To be honest, you're really a good person, but I hated you because you're going to be the reason why Mina and I will break up." Dahyun is relieved to hear those words coming straight out from Jimin's mouth. This is what she wanted--to hear Jimin apologize and to see her as a good person. She doesn't want to be hated by a man that she likes.

She doesn't know if this is the opportunity for her to confess, so she didn't try. If she will say it now, maybe Jimin and her will be awkward forever. She doesn't want that, so she stayed silent.

Maybe I'll just say it another time. Dahyun told herself and kept silent.

"By the way," Jimin paused. "How's Mina? Did she go to school today? What did she eat for lunch? Is she okay?" He asked those questions quickly as if this is the only time to ask Dahyun.

Dahyun found it insensitive, but understood his situation because he has no idea that she likes him. "She went to school today, but she's just silent. I don't know what she ate for lunch, but I saw her eat with her friends earlier." She half-smiled and Jimin's worries lessened. "Our homeroom teacher announced that you won't be able to school anymore." She said sadly.

Jimin felt embarrassed in a some way. He's in prison right now and that's the reason why he can't continue his studies anymore. He fell silent and Dahyun noticed that. She felt guilty and insensitive for saying that.

"Dahyun-ah," Taehyung entered the scene at the perfect time. "We must go home now." Dahyun turned his head around to see her brother and nodded when their eyes met. "I'll be waiting inside the car."

"Okay. I'll just bid my good bye."

"Make it fast." Taehyung then walked away from them and Dahyun tilted her head to face Jimin.

"Thank you for the talk." Jimin said and Dahyun stood up. "Can I ask you a favor?"

"Yeah, what's that?" Dahyun asked gladly before she goes.

"Please say hi to Mina for me. Tell her that I'm missing her badly." Dahyun was a little startled, but she just swallowed what Jimin said. She nodded and then bid her good bye to Jimin. Jimin smiled a bit and then the officer led him back to his cell.

Meanwhile, Dahyun hopped in the car and Taehyung started the car's engine and headed back to their house. Dahyun is smiling for an unknown reason and Taehyung seemed to notice it, so he asked her.

"You okay?" He asked.

Dahyun giggled, "Maybe Jimin and I will be friends from now on." She answered and sighed.

"That's good, then." He said and smirked. "Our gig is on Saturday. Have you told Eunwoo about our favor?"

She scratched her nape, "A-Ah, not yet." She told him. "Let me call him."

"Invite him over to our house." Dahyun's eyebrow raised. Why is he inviting Eunwoo over? She teased Taehyung, saying that he's gay. He almost choked on what she said.

"It's okay, oppa. I'm not against the idea of you being a gay. I will support you--"

"It's not what you think." He said and pulled the breaks since it's red light. He faced her, "He'll be making flyers."

"Reasons." Dahyun chuckled and continued on teasing her brother, but Taehyung didn't get pissed or anything. He just let his little sister say what she wants.

Dahyun then dialled her best friends number and Eunwoo answered it right away.

"Hey, Eunwoo." She greeted. "You busy?"

"Nah, not really. Why?"

"Taehyung oppa is inviting you over to our house." Eunwoo wasn't able to react right away. "Maybe oppa likes you--"

"WHAT?!" Eunwoo yelled and Dahyun laughed. Taehyung snickered sneakily and just shook his head because of how playful his sister is. "Are you serious?!"

"I'm just kidding," Dahyun said laughingly. "But he's really inviting you over to print flyers for their upcoming gig on Saturday. You in?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll be there in 10 minutes." Dahyun just hummed a yes and then hung up. In 15 minutes, they arrived in their house. They saw Eunwoo sitting on a gutter. He stood up right away after seeing Taehyung's car.

Dahyun opened the gate for him and asked, "Why didn't you knock? You're always welcomed inside our house."

Eunwoo scratched his nape and half-smiled, "It's okay. I just got here 5 minutes ago."

"Get inside." Eunwoo nodded and Dahyun held his wrist, dragging him towards their house. They saw Namjoon sitting on the couch while eating popcorn. They heard Jin singing in the kitchen and he's probably cooking dinner.

"Let's practice." Taehyung told Namjoon and went upstairs. Namjoon fished his phone and dialled Yoongi's number. He followed Taehyung to their practice room afterwards while Dahyun offered Eunwoo a seat.

"I visited Jimin earlier," Dahyun opened up the topic about Jimin. Eunwoo faced her right away and asked why. "I just wanted to see if he's doing well inside the prison."

"Well, is he?"

She nodded and smiled softly, "Yeah, he is, but he's got a black eye and some bruises all over his face."

"What? How?"

"Maybe he got beaten up." She sighed. "He apologized to me, too." She paused. "And he asked about Mina."

"What an insensitive jerk." Eunwoo whispered, but she heard it. "What else did you guys talk about?"

"Maybe we're going to be friends." Dahyun was about to say something when Seokjin called them to eat dinner. After a little while, Yoongi and his girlfriend, Chaeyoung, came and had dinner with them as well.
