Chapter Ten: [Edited]
Chapter Ten
Mason who was back at the BAU and agent Camilla were this time discussing the organized level of serial killer David Lois and how he carefully planned his crimes, targeted his specific victims and displayed manipulation at a significant period.
"David Lois planned his crimes. Unfortunately he knew how he wanted to commit his crimes and he planned his crimes in 2018," says Mason.
"So he knew what was coming. He knew how he decided to kill these women, because he thinks he's stronger than the women who looked at him like he was weak," answered Camilla.
"And he killed them because he wanted to prove himself that he is stronger than he thinks," says Mason. Agent Camilla sighs.
"So he would plan out by figuring out what victims he would like to kill. He picked out college aged women who are eighteen-years-old, they are rich, they come from luxury families and he needed a lot of room to plan out his own crimes, so he can know what he had to do," explained Mason once more.
Agent Camilla takes a deep breath and says, "well, the only thing we need to know is why. What is the rational reason why he killed these women, besides telling us that women had bullied him in school, like high school and all," says agent Camilla.
"I mean, Detective Howard did tell us while investigating along with us that David Lois killed college aged women, but not high school women, ya know?" says Mason, wondering.
"I guess something else must be really going on. It can't just be him killing these women because he was bullied," explained agent Camilla. Mason rolled his eyes and said, "I mean he won't tell us why. We just got to find out why for ourselves," explained Mason.
Until the unit chief of the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit 2 (BAU-2) a unit that focuses on serial murders and crimes against adults, James Michaels came walking up to Mason and Camilla. Both Mason and Camilla saw James walking up to them. "Mr. Michaels," says Mason.
"It's good to see you," says Mason once again.
"You too, agent Connor. I um, I need you to come into my office for a moment. I need to talk to you, in private," says James.
"Uh yeah, sure," answered Mason, following James to his office.
After entering his office, Mason stood in front of James's desk as James sat down in his office chair behind his desk. He sighs and leans against his desk and then crosses his fingers and hands together. "I wanted to talk to you about your father," says James. Mason just got quiet. Then he speaks.
"Um, sir, with all due respect, I really don't want to talk about my father," says Mason, sighing. "Well, it's important, agent Connor," says James. Mason doesn't say anything this time.
"I heard that during the interview with serial killer David Lois mentioned that your father...." Mason interrupted James.
"I really wished everyone would stop being so concerned about my relationship with my father. I mean..." James then interrupted Mason this time.
"But.." James said.
Mason takes a deep breath and nods his head as he sighs. "Is it true that you're the one conceived of the idea to mention your father because I got a report saying that you mentioned your father to David Lois. Which could lead to some kind of misunderstanding," explained James.
"Sir, I didn't mention anything about him. Mr. Lois just asked me if my father was a serial killer and I didn't say anything about it at all," says Mason.
"Is that true?" says James.
"Yes sir," answered Mason.
"Okay. Because I find that hard to believe," says James. Mason takes a look at James.
"This guy is a serial killer, agent Connor. This could mislead to a conviction in the case. Please don't mention anything about your family history or anything that may cause a disruption to your career. Do I make myself clear?" says James.
Mason nods his head and says, "yes sir." Mason sighed and turned around before leaving James's office. He opens the door and then walked back to Camilla.
"What happened?" asked Camilla, as she saw Mason walking up to her.
"I um, just got yelled at by the unit chief," says Mason.
"Oh. About what?" wondering Camilla.
"He accused me of mentioning David Lois about my dad being a serial killer. He said it could lead to a disruption of my career," answered Mason.
"But you didn't say anything about him," says Camilla, confused.
"Apparently he thinks I did," answered Mason.
"Well, we have to be in New York by tomorrow morning. Our flight leaves at three in the afternoon," says Camilla.
"All right," Mason says.
Mason and Camilla leave the BAU then they go home and get some sleep before their flight leaves the very next day.
