Chapter Seven: [Edited]
Chapter Seven
"David Lois, a serial killer, is an example of a sociopath who lacks empathy; sociopaths often commit murder. To share someone else's burden is a measure of empathy. But David is a pathological narcissist, and it seems like he was always like that. Both as a child and as a teenager, he experienced abuse and bullying.
Mason claims, "I'd say he has no empathy when it comes to his victims. He left home very young and until he decides that becoming a serial killer is in his interest." says Mason once again.
Mason and Camilla were in the car on their way to the prison once again. Mason was driving and Camilla was in the passenger's seat. "Well, he may be a pathological narcissist, but he knew what was coming." Mason sighed and he stopped at a red light.
"He committed an unlawful crime. Killed over twenty five women and their families are mourning their loved ones," says Mason
0The FBI has dealt with serial killers since the Behavioral Analysis Unit was first established. I never thought David Lois would be known as the high risk killer who doesn't show any empathy for his victims," says agent Camilla.
Mason takes a deep breath and says, "he's dealt with a lot of trouble in his life. Most serial killers like David become troubled and decide to kill. Or even if David was born with a narcissist disorder, and he's also born to be a sociopath," says Mason.
"I still don't know why I decided to become an FBI profiler," says Mason, chuckling.
"Well, if you think you were born to be a criminal profiler, then you chose to be one. I mean, ever since I was a young girl, I dreamt of becoming an FBI profiler. It's my dream job," says agent Black.
"My father was the reason why I became an FBI profiler," says Mason.
Camilla looks at Mason. Mason looks at Camilla. "Then there's your answer," says Camilla. Camilla sighs and looks back facing the traffic lights. Mason also looks back at the traffic lights and he swallows before he drives away after the light turns green. At the prison, Mason turned on the recorder once again.
"Mr. Lois, you confessed saying you killed Beverly Ann, Anna Hendricks and Katy Jensen on June 15th, 2020?" says Mason. "It was given under coercion," says David. Mason nods his head.
"You pleaded guilty to so many counts of murder, including sexual assault and kidnapping," says Mason.
"I can't answer that," says David.
"So how do you know Ms. Beverly Ann and the others?" says Mason. David shrugs his shoulders.
"They were my neighbors." says David. Mason nods his head.
"Neighbors?" says Mason.
"You took pictures of Beverly Ann. Why's that?" says Mason, once again.
"She was a fashion model. All of my three victims who were my neighbors were unfortunately models and they collaborated together at a fashion show," says David.
"So," says Mason, flipping through the files, "it says here in the file that the police found a metal rod, ropes and other items that you used to kill your victims and....," David interrupted Mason.
"Yeah. I used those items to teach my victims that women are hopeless," says David, chuckling.
"There were 25 high heels in your home. In your bedroom. This was right before you were arrested and the police found 25 shoes in your home. In your bedroom," says Mason.
David sighs once more. "You really must be so interactive with yourself. Come here to interview me and then mock me with these shoe questions or whatever," says David.
"They're just questions, Mr. Lois," says Mason. David chuckled and laughed. "Yeah. You can pry me all you want. But I don't think you'll ever get an answer from me about why I killed my victims," says David.
"Why is that, David?" says Mason.
"What if I told you this," says David. Mason doesn't have a clue and nods his head not knowing what David is talking about. "What do you mean, David?" says Mason.
"It wasn't my idea to kill all my victims," says David. Mason frowned in confusion.
"What?" says Mason.
David sighs and says, "you're just going to have to find out who," says David, softly grinning at Mason. Mason and Camilla both look at each other's faces and then they both look back at David. Jack in the car, on their way to the hotel, Mason and Camilla were back to talking about David.
"So do you know if David could be playing with us?" says Mason.
"I don't know. But maybe he is playing with us. But we'll just have to continue to investigate the case," says Mason, while driving. Camilla sighs.
"Where was David arrested?" says Camilla.
"Uh, in town in New York. He was getting off the bus," says Mason.
"Why?" Camilla nods her head.
"I think we should go to talk to the victims' families," says Camilla.
"We really don't need to. I mean, I don't think it's a good idea," says Mason.
"Maybe we can ask them what their relationship was really like with David. Since David did say he took pictures of them and they were fashion models, and ya know... I think it will give us more answers in the investigation," says Camilla.
Mason takes a deep breath and says, "all right. I will go ahead and put in the first address to Beverly Ann's parents house," says Mason, putting in the address in his GPS while driving. The GPS says, In one mile, turn right on 13th Street. Mason turns on 13th street.
