Sophie's P. O. V
We entered Philip's car and he drove off,while we were in the car, we started talking
"So where did you get money to buy a very expensive Benz"
I asked inquisitively.

"My Dad gave it to me as my birthday gift".
He replied.

"Wow, that's nice, he must be very rich"
I added.

"Yeah, filthy"
He said.

"It used to be one of his cars before he gave it to me, he wanted to give me a new one as my birthday gift but I asked him not to spend his money and he should just give me know if his old cars and he gave this baby and I couldn't argue with him cause my dad's a really tough person to argue with so I accepted it"
He said.

"I'm sorry to ask but why did your mom and dad break up?"
I asked.

"Well it's complicated".
He said.

"So, are you going to tell me? "
I asked.

"Yeah, of course dear"
He said.

"So? "
I asked.

"Well, my dad used to beat my mom and he used to be a womanizer and he got my mom pregnant in college, they met in high school and became high school sweethearts, they went to the same college and boom!!!! I came up, My dad was so frustrated that he was insulting my mom for spreading her legs for him and in his family, there's a policy that says that whoever they impregnate they must get married to"
He said.

"I'm so sorry,"
I said feeling bad for asking.

"There's nothing to be sorry about"
He replied rubbing my hands.

I felt like butterflies were let loose in my stomach and felt some shiver down my spine as he rubbed my hands.

"Well, so my mom had to drop out of school cause of the pregnancy, the trauma, my mom's parents said they wouldn't pay her college fees anymore, my dad accepted the pregnancy cause he admitted he was responsible and told her not to abort me, but she tried and tried but she just caused damage to herself and I didn't end up dieing, she became so traumatized because nobody stood by her in her time of need, well she gave birth to me and after my dad finished college and started working in his own multi billion company, he got married to my mom, she thought she was going to be able to get back to college and start working but when she got back to college, she had a coursemate named Thomas Smith who was just her friend but my dad thought they were dating so one day, he went to her college one day and met them hugging and they were just hugging because his older and closest sister just died and my mom was just consoling him"
He said before I cut in.

"Wait, did you say Thomas Smith?".
I asked.

"Yeah, you know him?"
He asked.

"Yeah, that's my dad"
I said.

"Ok, did he go in Mackferson College in New Jersey"
He asked.

"Yeah, was that where your mum went to and did she study Business Administration?".
I asked.

"Yeah"
He replied.

''You can go on now".
I said.

"Okay, so when he met them hugging, he pulled them apart, took my mom home and beat her up that she was bleeding so much, she thought she was going to die, my dad didn't really care but he still took her to the hospital and she was admitted for days even months, when she was discharged, he started womanizing and started drinking that whenever he got home he would beat her to stupor, my mom couldn't further her education anymore because she had to take care of me and my dad was beating her so much, she became a different person, after 3 years, he raped her one night and she got pregnant again"
He said before I cut in again.

"Wait, you have a younger one"
I asked.

"Yeah, a younger sister named Phoebe but stays with my dad cause the court ordered for 1 of to be with him so I chose to be with my mum bed I didn't want to grow up to be like him so Phoebe stays with him but he still takes up his responsibility as a dad over me and my mom takes hers over Phoebe too but she comes to stay with us during Christmas, Easter and sometimes her school holidays"
He added.

"Ok"
I replied.

"I think we have to continue when we're done with the movie"
He said as he packed in front of the cinema house.

"OK, what movie are we watching?"
I asked curiously.

"Aladdin the movie"
He said.

"Nice"
I said.

We entered the cinema, bought popcorns and some soda and went to watch the movie, I am a movie geek so I loved it.
After 2hrs we were done and we started coming home.

"Did you enjoy the movie?"
Philip asked as we got into the car.

"Yeah,I loved it"
I replied.

"So I wanna continue about why my parents got divorced"
He added.

"Okay"
I said.

"So, when she got pregnant again, my dad maltreated her because he claimed that she lured him to bed so he stopped coming home and refused to pay for my school fees for about 5 or 6 years and during those years because my mom didn't have a certificate, she had to do cleaning jobs to fend for my sister and I, she had to do a lot of low wages jobs just to fend for us, sometimes she wouldn't eat for days, Then after 5 years, my dad came back and picked up his responsibilities back but he didn't take care of my mom, he beat her day and night till she fainted, a day came that he beat her so much, she went into coma for 9 and a half months, when she came back to life he didn't still stop the beating and raped her again"
He added.

"You have another sibling?"
I asked.

"Nope, when she got pregnant again, he beat her one day and she bled for days because he didn't take her to the hospital and she finaly lost the pregnancy and when she finally got to the hospital, they said her womb has been damaged due to serious battery and she can't have a child again"
He said sighing.

"Wow, your mom really went through alot".
I replied feeling dearly sorry for his mom.

Then we stopped by at my house.

"I think I'll continue telling you about them tomorrow Katie"
He said.

"OK, Thanks for today".
I replied.

Then as I picked up my purse and was about to get down from his car, I felt something tug me back and next I felt was a press on my lips, It was Philip kissing so I gave in into the kiss and after few minutes, I quickly pulled away from the kiss to avoid my dad seeing.

"Why did you pull away"
He asked.

"Cause I didn't want my dad to see a guy kissing his daughter unless you'd be roasted, Thanks anyways bye see you tomorrow."
I added finally getting down from his car.

"Bye Katie"
He said driving away.

I walked into the house and met my whole family apart from Simon who is in College sitting on the couch staring at me oddly.

"You guys were spying on me right?''
I asked.

"Of course not honey we gave you your privacy''
My mom said hugging me.

"Oh, you gave her privacy by putting a speaker in her purse, mum is that really privacy?"
Henry said.

"Mom, dad!!!?,I'm very disappointed in you both"
I said.

"But we didn't hear everything"
My dad said.

"Yeah, the speaker stopped working when he said his dad was filthy rich"
Henry said.

"Oh, Thank God you didn't hear the best part"
I said.

"No we actually did"
My dad added.

"Really?"
I said.

"It continued working when you were about to get down from his car and when then he"
Henry said.

"KISSED YOU!!!!!!!!!!!"
They all chorused.

"Whatever, I'm going upstairs"
I said going up the stairs.

"Honey, are you mad at us?"
My mom asked.

"Of course I am I can't believe my own mom and dad couldn't give me my own privacy just for a date with my boyfriend, you and dad are just overprotective parents and stalkers"
I added.

"I'm really sorry Honey"
My mom said coming up the stairs and enveloping me into the a hug that I couldn't breathe.

"Mom,please can't breathe"
I said.

"I Won't Leave you until you forgive me"
She said hugging me tighter.

"Fine, I forgive you for spying on me"
I added.

"I promise, we won't do it again"
She added realising me.

It took me a while before I could reply again because I was catching a my breath.

"I hope so"
I replied.

"I made and also ordered your favorite"
She said.

"Spaghetti and meatballs or Pizza and ice cream?"
I asked.

"Both"
She replied.
