Sophie's P.O. V
I woke up this morning feeling a little stressed about yesterday.
  "Hey mom"
I said walking into the kitchen.

"Hey Sophie"
She replied turning the eggs.

"Where's everyone else"
I asked.

"I don't know, your dad rushed outof the house this morning with your siblings "
She replied.

" Is everything okay?".
I asked.

" Yeah"
She replied.

"I'm gonna go take a shower now"
I replied pecking her forehead.

I rushed upstairs to my room and as I was about going into the bathroom, I heard my phone ring.

"The most annoying one😑❤"
That was Henry calling me, yep he's the most annoying one.

" Hey Sophie"
He said whispering alittle bit.

"Why are you whispering Henry?"
I asked.

"Look there's an emergency at Matilda' house, come now"
He replied.

" And don't let mom know about this "
He added.

"Why?"
But before I could complete mu sentence he hung up.

I groaned internally and went to take a quick shower. I changed into black sweatpants, a blue top, black Nikes slides with a blue socks, I quickly ordered an uber which would be here in the next five to ten minutes.

I rushed downstairs and realized mom wasn't in sight, I took a piece of bread and then put my egg on it, I was munching on it when I was informed about my uber.

I was about to get to the door when my mom stopped me.

"Sophie?"
She said stopping me.

"Oh hey mom, didn't see you there "
I said moving closer.

" And where are you going to?"
She asked.

"Huh nowhere, I'm just checking out the beautiful door "
I replied rubbing the door making it look like I was interested in the white door.

"Okay?"
She replied.

"and what is so fascinating about the door?"
She asked.

"Uhm it's beautiful "
I replied.

"Can you stop lying to me?, I saw the uber park"
She replied.

"The uber?"
I asked pretending to be surprised.

Just as I was about to reply Henry's call came in.

"Pick it and put it in speaker"
She said staring at me.

I picked it and waited for Henry to talk.

"Sophie, where are you? we need you to come"
He said.

"Henry what's happening?"
I asked.

"Come over to Matilda's house and don't tell mom"
He replied.

"Why shouldn't I tell mom?"
I asked.

"Did you already?"
He asked.

"No"
I answered.

"Good let it remain that way,
He replied.

"If you love mom, come on your own"
He added hanging up.

" Let's go"
She said picking up her phone.

"Now!"
She yelled.

I couldn't argue with her so I just noddee and then we both entered into the uber.

In about 10 minutes, we arrived at Matilda's house, we saw Police officers around the house and as I was looking around I saw Henry walking towards me.

"I told you not to inform mom"
He said through griited teeth.

" Well I know now, now would you tell me what's happening here?"
She questioned.

" Mom I'm sorry but you can't go in there "
He said trying to stay in front of mom.

I left them and ran upstairs when I saw ................ and then heard a scream behind me and a large thud.

How have you all been?
I'm so sorry I've not updated for a while now, I had really hectic classes and at a point my phone also had issues.
I wanted to give up on the book but then my friends motivated me not to.
So I'd try updating as often as I can if I'm not busy.
What do you guys think Sophie saw?
