Chapter 5

Growing up around everyone I didn't talk much. I hid in my room all day and only came out when summoned or to get food. I didn't make friends.   Well actually I did make one but she was moved to a different base some where.

I still talk to her sometimes but that's about it..

~ present~

Usually when I get back from a mission I get a week or so to rest but this time was different. When I gave Josh the briefing and left I was called back within a matter of hours.

At first I though it had something to do with my previous mission but then Josh explained I was surprised. This mission was to go to a school in a  different state  and figure out what the gangs there are planning. Also it was to kill one of the underground bosses who was currently vacationing there. Lucky for me he was on the younger side maybe late twenties early thirties.  So me being me would have an easy time with him.

Sighing I left the meeting room and went back to my room to start packing. Placing my clothes into a duffle bag, shoes in a different one, more clothes aka my clothes I will use for my job for the boss and then a last one with weapons. I grabbed a smaller bag and put makeup in it along with other simple essentials.

Huffing I carried all my things to the garage where Josh was waiting for me. Strange very strange. " take the car your bike will arrive in about a day along with the car. A rental will be waiting when you arrive at the airport. You can use it until yours arrive. " I nodded and began loading everything in when Josh started to help me.

Ok something is up he usually doesn't help me. Ok that kinda makes him sound like an ass, he is one but ...I don't even know what I'm trying to say anymore.

Placing the last bag in, I slammed the door shut and turned to face Josh. Out of nowhere he snaked his arm around my waist and kissed me. I froze. Is he serious right now.

Pulling away he smirked at me as I snapped out of it. Leaning down to my ear, his warm breath fanning my neck, he whispered " good luck princess " abruptly turning on his heals he walked away leaving me weirded out. Ok then..

Getting into my car just began the long drive to the airport to go to California from my lovely current location of new York. Oh life.

Walking up the steps of the private jet I flung myself into a set probably only moments before I would've collapsed. Leaning my head against the window I stared at nothing in particular as eventually the plane took off and I was swallowed my darkness aka the lovely nothingness of sleep.
