~Garroth's POV~
Today was really busy. Y/n, Laurence and the girls went out to get their gowns on the other side of town. Well, for Laurence, well... He looks good either way if he chooses a gown or not.
"So? Got any ideas what to wear tonight, Garroth?" A voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I turned around and saw Travis looking up at me.
"Any themes buddy?" He asked.
"Why would you say that?" I asked him, raising my brow.
"Well, it's a ball! I'm pretty sure the girls are picking princessy outfits." Travis said.
"Uhh- I haven't picked yet but I do like the blue suit with gold tassels on it," I said pointing at the suit.
"Ooh! That looks pretty as well! We could really reel in some ladies with that outfit." Dante overheard.
"Honestly, is this really about the ladies? Can't it be one night where you imbeciles just have fun without creeping out the ladies?" Zane stepped in.
"I'd like to see you not creep out any lady with your appearance," Dante said approaching us.
"Dante I don't think--"
"Oh wait, you already do," Dante added as he smirked.
I took a step back and apparently, Travis did as well. This was not going to end well.
Zane approaches Dante and I could see the regret in his eyes.
"I-- UHH -- Zane~ let's talk this out shall we?" Dante said, panicked.
"We're buddies aren't we?" Dante said awkwardly.
"He's a goner, right?" Travis whispered to me.
"Definitely." I nodded.
"ZANE! PLEASE WE CAN TALK THIS OUT!" Dante yelled.
We both turned our attention to Zane and Dante who was now in a corner of the shop.
"YOU SHOULD'VE THOUGHT ABOUT IT WHEN YOU CALLED ME A CREEP!" Zane yelled, holding his collar.
"Uh, Aren't you gonna stop him?" One of the clerks asked.
"No. They're fine. They always act like this." I said looking at the clerk.
"Oookay." The clerk said putting his sunglasses on and walking to the back of the store.
"BUT AREN'T YOU?? I'M JUST SPITTING FACTS, MAN!" Dante said covering his face with his hands.
"That's it!" Zane yells as he pulls Dante's collar.
"Are you two lovebirds done?" The doors opened and a familiar face was standing there.
"Gene?" I said approaching him.
"What are you doing here?"
He smiles, "Oh. My employer wanted me to get a suit for him for this stupid ball here." He said waltzing into the cashier.
"Thank Irene." I heard Dante sigh.
"Employer? And who would that be?" Zane asked, letting go of Dante.
Gene looks at him from the side and smirks, "Wouldn't you want to know."
He turns around to face us.
"Gene... This isn't one of those crazy employers, right?" Dante asked, concerned, walking towards him.
Gene scoffs, "It's not one of those. I just got a tip that they'd be here and they want me to get a suit done in time for the ball. No biggie." He said shrugging.
"Besides, a ball's a ball right?" Gene said turning around to face the counter.
"Hey, Liochant! I need Mr. Goldstein's suit for the ball!" Gene yelled.
"Make it quick. I haven't got all day." He added.
"Alright! Wait a sec!" An annoyed tone was heard.
"So?" Gene turned to us.
"Here for the ball as well?" Gene asked, leaning on the counter.
"What do you think, Gene?" Zane asked, approaching me.
He smirks, "Oh it's gonna be a fun one."
"What do you-"
A fit man emerged from the curtains. He has brown eyes and hair and caramel skin. He was holding a blue suit that looked a bit close to a fantasy design. He placed the suit on the counter and slid the paper in front of Gene. We slowly approached the tailor and saw a design.
(I do not own the picture. This is purely for reference.)
"The tailor did the best he could to fulfill this type of design. The pants weren't a problem but the top was definitely an issue. He decided to make separate coats so that you'd style it yourself." Liochant said, wrapping the suit in a clear garment bag and zipping it up.
"Well, that works. I don't get paid enough anyways." Gene said shrugging.
"That's actually pretty nice for a suit," Zane said looking at the suit closer.
Gene swipes the suit and smirks. He walks away, putting the suit on his shoulders.
"Alright. I'm heading out losers. Bye." Gene said, before exiting the shop.
We all looked at each other.
"Well. That was err never mind. Let's just get our suits for the ball and head out." Zane said annoyed.
"Alright baby brother. As long as you don't go 'grr', we'll find something for you." I said teasing him.
He rolls his eyes and I can't help but chuckle at his reaction.
"Show us your best outfits, my good sir," Dante said looking at Liochant.
Liochant smiles and nods, "I think you and I will get along."

~*3rd Person POV*~
Soon, everyone returned back to the house. They had their outfits waiting for them in their rooms.
"I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they see my outfit!" Dante exclaimed going up the stairs.
"I bet we're the best at the ball~" Katelyn sang happily.
"You had a great choice! I can't wait for you to rock the dress!" Aphmau cheered.
While all of them were gossiping about their choices, Y/n was still stuck in her own mind.
~YOUR POV~
"Heh. You're back here." The black figure scoffed.
"What's the little 'angel' doing here, huh?" It asked.
I looked up and saw me, standing there, with a creepy smile on their face. Her eyes were glowing bright green. My brows furrowed as I looked at them.
"Why are you here?"
She stepped forward and chuckled, "You aren't so innocent. You're technically a stupid little brat."
She laughs and I took a step back, "What do you mean?"
She giddily jumps and then skips away from me. I tilt my head in confusion. She then stops and pulls a curtain open. A gust of cold wind sends shivers down my spine as snow covered my vision. I stepped forward and felt I was at the edge of a cliff. I felt someone pulling me back and I turn around to see her smiling at me.
"Bestie, why don't you look down?" She said as her eyes glowed.
I looked down and the snow cleared. My eyes widened at the sight below me. I gasped.
"AARON!" I screamed.
I felt tears prick as I covered my mouth. Aaron was covered in blood and had a knife in his chest.
"W-what is this...? H-how...?"
Suddenly, everything goes dark and I panic. I looked around and felt anxiety rise. I looked up and saw two glowing green eyes staring at me.
"It's a pity that even you, our greatest creation, ended up being so fragile." Another voice said. It was a man's voice.
"I implore you to enjoy the night. It'll be the best night of your life!" He said.
The glowing green eyes were the only thing that lit up this dark room. I immediately stood up and ran away. It didn't matter if there were people watching me, but I had to! I couldn't stay here!
"GARROTH! ZANE! TRAVIS! HELP!" I screamed out with tears flowing out of my eyes.
Out of nowhere, I bump into someone and I fell back on the ground.
"Y/N!"
My head hurt as I looked up and saw Travis having a hand laid out for me to take. I looked around and saw I was back at the mansion. Everyone had worry plastered in their eyes.
"Are you okay, sunshine? You ran into a wall all of the sudden." Katelyn said, stepping forward and lowering down to my position.
"She seems dazed," Laurence said.
I looked at the ground and felt tiles. I sighed and looked up at them and nodded.
"Y-yeah... I just felt something creep up my back and... I panicked." I said not trying to worry them.
"Alright buddy, let's help you up," Travis said, holding my hand and Katelyn assisting him to help me up.
I then hear footsteps and turned around to Dad looking at me with worry.
"Sweet angel, if there's something wrong. You can tell us, okay?" He said, engulfing me in a soft hug.
I nodded and we part from the hug.
"I know," I said giving him a bright smile.
He nods and then looks at the others.
"Alright, everyone. Get ready for the ball. Tonight's gonna be the best night of your lives!" Dad said.
"It'll be the best night of your life!" The voice whispered again.
I sighed and shook my head, ignoring the voice. I took a deep breath and smiled at everyone.
"That's right! It'll be the first ball we can actually experience together!" I said.
They all nodded and laughed.
"I can't wait for the food!" Dante yelled from upstairs.
We burst out laughing.
"Alright, the cars will be waiting for all of you as soon as you're ready," Dad said and we nodded.
"ALRIGHT!"
~3rd Person POV~
Eventually, everyone got into their outfits. They were stunning. Every gown or suit they wore definitely complimented their features. The Ro'meave parents were perfectly dressed as high nobles from the medieval era.
(A/N: Reminders that these are not mine. This is purely for reference.)
Zianna was wearing a midnight-colored gown with layers of tulle and puffed sleeves. It almost resembled a queen who had honor and kindness.
Garte, on the other hand, had a formal prince-type of uniform. Black, white, and dark blue colors were his colors for thee night. He had a cape draped over his shoulders and a pendant that had a moon that kept the cape in place.
"You look beautiful, Zianna," Garte said kissing Zianna's hand.
"Oh, Garte. Right back at you." Zianna said, smiling as tears welled up in her eyes.
"My delicate flower," Garte said as he smiled at her.
Zianna smiled at her husband and giggled.
"We're ready, Mother." Zane's voice made them turn towards the stairs.
Their eyes widened as they watched each of the boys in stunning outfits. It seemed like time stopped as they all slowly went down the stairs.
Garroth was wearing a blue, black, and gold combination outfit. He had a blue cape on and a suit and black pants. Gold details were all over his outfit. It reminded them of a royal prince who once ruled with honor and vowed to protect their kingdom and the ones they loved.
Zane was next. He walked down the stairs looking like a high priest of O'khasis. He had his signature black and white outfit. A princely touch with a little bit of angst and fear dragged in his outfit. He looked overpowering.
Laurence came down with a simple outfit. He looked like a royal guard with his coat. It reminded Zianna of someone who'd die for someone no matter what. It was faint but she felt like these outfits resembled more than what was in front of them.
Dante seemed to follow Garroth's idea of clothing choice and went down looking like a true prince. He had a white cape billowing behind him and comforting his shoulders. If Dante was in the medieval era and was a guard, one would mistake him for a prince if he had this sense of style.
Travis, on the other hand, chose a more fantasy-like outfit. He had a crown and everything. It almost scarily looked like a demon prince had descended.
"Boys. You look...amazing!" Garte said hugging them.
"I see you all decided on something fantastical!" Garte said laughing as he parts from the hug.
"Yeah! Liochant told us that the ball had a theme. Something about the past?" Dante said stepping up.
"He said these outfits seemed to call to us in a way that I even agreed," Laurence said doing a pose.
"You look the least interesting among us, Laurence," Zane said, rolling his eyes.
"Does it even matter? I still look hot!" Laurence said, looking at the readers and winking.
"Uh- what is he doing?" Travis asked.
"Do you have a sore eye or something?" Dante said coming closer to Laurence.
"He's just having a hard time accepting he's looking the most simple," Zane said, smirking.
Laurence turns his head quickly at Zane, clearly offended, and scoffs," At least I don't look like a person who'd murder people in that outfit."
Zane chuckles and looks Laurence dead in the eye, "How about I end you first?"
Garte steps in and awkwardly laugh.
"You two can get in character when we get in the ball. There's no need to be like this here. Besides, ending up in a fight and destroying your outfits before showcasing yourselves is unfortunate, don't you think?" Garte said.
"Besides, the ladies are-"
"We're finished!" Aphmau said.
They turned their heads and looked up at the stairs to see the girls. Their eyes sparkle at their looks.
"Wow..." Travis said in awe.
The first one down the stairs was Aphmau. She had a beautiful purple dress with flowers on it. She also had white and purple flowers in her hair.
"She looks like a Goddess..." Garroth said under his breath.
Kim followed down and she was in a beautiful green dress with flowers from the bust to her skirt. This color complimented her skin and eyes so well that they couldn't take their eyes off of her. Her hair was braided and decorated with flowers.
"Now that's a stunning woman," Dante said.
The next one down the stairs got Travis' eyes sparkling. Katelyn was in a beautiful armor dress that absolutely complimented her attitude as a strong woman who stands for the good of all. It represents her beauty, strength, and fiery attitude very well.
"You're one lucky guy, Travis," Laurence whispered to him.
"Wow...the fire fist..." Travis said studying Katelyn.
Soon the girls, all met the boys down the stairs.
"Y-you look beautiful, Katelyn," Travis said almost about to kneel for Katelyn.
Katelyn giggles, "I know I am Travis."
"You're so pretty, Kim! Wow... The dress looks good on you." Dante said twirling Kim.
Kim laughs and looks at Dante with a bright smile.
"Thank you, Dante! hehe," She responded.
While the two pairs were admiring one another, Laurence, Zane, and Garroth, crowded Aphmau.
"Y-you're absolutely beautiful...Aphmau." Laurence said in a soft voice as he blushed hard.
"Yes. You're... gorgeous." Garroth said in awe.
"You guys...I know I'm always pretty," Aphmau laughs.
"They aren't kidding, Aph. You really chose well." Zane said nodding to her.
"I know. I even chose you as my best friend didn't I?" Aphmau giggles.
Zane's eyes widened and then he nodded.
"Not a bad taste," Zane said looking at Aphmau with wonder.
"Wait. Where's Y/n?" Zianna spoke.
Everyone turned to Zianna.
"Last I checked, she was in her room and didn't want to be disturbed," Katelyn said.
"She said her outfit was a surprise and none of us really saw what she picked out," Aphmau said, looking at Zianna.
As they were talking about Y/n, the door of her room opens as she slowly went towards the stairs. The sound of her shoes clicking was merely heard. The sound of them discussing blurred out Y/n's shoes clicking.
"Here we go..." Y/n said.
~Zane's POV~
Everyone was being loud and talking about Y/n and what she had planned to wear. I stayed in the corners avoiding them.
"Why do you all have to be so noisy?" I sighed under my breath.
As I looked up, I saw Y/n peeking through the wall. She seemed overwhelmed by the number of people downstairs. I just stared at her and soon our eyes meet. I gave her a nod and she nodded back. I decided to make my way up the stairs and meet Y/n.
"Uh- Zane? Where are you going?" Garroth asked.
I turned to look at him, "I.. uhh.. forgot something. Don't worry I'll be quick."
Garroth nodded and I continued up the stairs to have my eye(s?) widened. Y/n was stunning.
(Pick a gown that seems best for you.)
She was holding her arm and looked at me with a shy look.
"So... uh.. do I look good?" Y/n said in a quiet voice but enough for me to hear.
I watched as she placed her hair in a (hairstyle) with a matching crown sitting on her head. I approach her and have my hand out for her to take.
"You're perfect the way you are. Let no one ever tell you otherwise alright?" I said.
She looked up at me and smiled, " Were you always a sweet talker? I don't remember this side of you." She jokes.
I scoffed, "I'm trying to help. Gosh. Y/n." I rolled my eyes.
She smiles at me. Oh, how I love her smile. Please never stop smiling...
I clear my throat and have my hand out for her to take, "Why don't I walk you down, sister?"
"I'd love that, Zane."
