The End
Evan sat at home, preparing the brownie mix. It wasn't anything special, no, but he had reason to be happy today. He was happy for (Y/N) to come over - he'd finally confess his feelings to them in a less intense setting then before.
Taking deep breaths, he texted his mother not to come when the two were hanging out. He hated to be rude, but didn't want her ruining this. After all, today could decide the fate of his and (Y/N)'s friendship.
(Y/N), themselves, though, planned on doing the same as Evan. They hadn't realized until they got dressed that morning but, it was imminent.
They liked Evan Hansen. And boy, they liked him a lot.
His smile, his nervous stutter, his eyes, the way he looked at them.. yes, Evan Hansen was perfect in every sense. (Y/N) could most certainly confess to him.
They couldn't think of an instance where they would turn him down.
So, walking to the door of the apartment they shared with the small pest, (Y/N) gave Noah a kiss on the forehead. He was having a babysitter come over later to watch him, a lovely girl named Alana Beck. But she wouldn't come for an hour or so, so he'd have an hour of privacy - something big for a seven year old.
"Tell Evan I say hi!" He chirped, suprising (Y/N) as he said the name perfectly.
(Y/N) chuckled with a raised eyebrow. "I thought you didn't know his name, what happened?"
Noah giggled and turned bright red of embarrassment, rubbing his little neck. (Y/N) caught on though, and kneel-ed down to his level.
"Don't worry, I wont tell.." (Y/N) whispered to him. Noah hugged them, and ran off to play with his toys.
(Y/N) exited their door, ready to seize the day and confess.
They tied their jacket around their waist, ready to confesses to Evan about the scars, and everything else.
And for a good moment, just then, for the first time in forever..
Everything seemed as if it would be alright.

Epilogue:
(Y/N) and Evan had a heartfelt moment confessing to eachother that day, and shared a tender kiss that lasted very long, only for Heidi to walk in on them and laugh.
It was embarrassing, more or less, but they dealed best they could.
So, they began to date. They enjoyed dating eachother, providing good emotional support. And, it wasn't long between they were nominated cutest couple in the school yearbook, shocking them both.
Before everyone knew it, the end of the year rolled around. (Y/N) and Evan had both been accepted to a nearby college.
Connor would go to rehab to deal with his pot addiction best he could for the time being, while Jared pursued a career in writing comedy.
Heidi had a stable job now and would take care of Noah while (Y/N) went to college.
Noah went on to excel in second grade, getting to the top of his class.
(Y/N) eventually started writing letters to them self, similar to how Evan Had once done. They found them soothing, and it helped them forget about the events of Senior year.
Here they sat, on the couch in the apartment that took them and Evan's money all too often, writing on their laptop, which had once been Evan's.
Speaking of Evan, he was off at work. He had found a good job at pottery barn and would work as much as possible so he and (Y/N) could continue living where they lived.
(Y/N) worked part time at IKEA, due to them taking more classes then Evan. It was stressful, but they were happy.
They pushed away their thoughts and reminiscing and began writing.
Dear (Y/N) (L/N),
Today is going to be a good day.
And here's why.
Because today, you're going to skype Noah, then go out for dinner with Evan. Tomorrow you have a quiz, but its alright.
Sincerely,
Your closest and second dearest friend,
Me.
