Chapter 2

Narrator's P.O.V

As Miranda examined the page the one thing that stuck out was a spell. She read it aloud to see what it meant. "Whale, whale what do I see, I see a whale swimming towards me." She read it over and over but nothing happened. She went back to sleep. When she woke up the next morning on the news it said a whale was spotted beached on the sand of Monies beach. Miranda surprised went to see the whale. She saw the whale lying there dead on the beach, she somehow felt it was all her fault.

The quilt traveled with her back to the house. She then sat down and silently thought of how the whales death could be her fault. She then had an idea. She thought that if she went out to sea and said the spell if a whale came she would know it was her fault. She ran down to the dock to get in a boat when her parents called from Hawaii to see how she was. While she spent a half of an hour talking to her parents the only boat she could take was about to leave. She said good-bye and jumped to get on the boat but by that time the boat had already started to move. She missed the boat and fell in. She slowly sank down to the bottom where she was in shock from the cold march water. Out of no where the keychain connected to her shirt started to glow. She took it out and it glowed a very bright red color. She stared at it until a big blue whale took all of her attention. She tried to scream but she swallowed a bunch of water. Miranda was slowly running out of oxygen the last thing she remembered was the whales mouth opening with a big pulling force dragging Miranda closer to the whale.

Miranda awoken an hour later in the Blue Whale. She was frightened but at least had oxygen. She then heard a rumbling sound. Not a moment later she was ten feet in the air riding the water spraying out of the blue whale. She landed back on top and looked around. She looked left, right, forward and backwards but there was no land in sight. She was trying to think of a way to get back to land when she suddenly started to realize that the whale was going down. She took a deep breath and held it for what seemed like forever until the whale emerged from the water and flew high to the sky. As the whale started to come down Miranda lost her grip and fell. She flew 10 feet away and once again was found unconscious. But this time when she was awoken she was on the whales back and she could see a little island surrounded by blue whales. The whale then swam under the island to a secret cave. Miranda stepped off the whale and on to the cave ground. Once again her keychain glowed red which then somehow made the rock walls turn red. And an image shows up. She stared speechless at the image.
