The date
A/N: Sorry for the semi short chapter. I didn't really plan out this chapter like I should of. Only certain parts of it. Next chapter will be a bit longer I hope.
Nick reached the restaurant, to be greeted by the beautiful bunny.
"Hey Nick!"
"Hey Carrots. Wow, you look..."
"Good?"
"Yeah, you look great."
"Well, I tried. Come on, let's go and get this over with." Her face was already rose red by Nick just staring at her, almost drooling.
Nick held the door open for Judy, and she walked in and waited with Nick to be placed at a table. Their waiter came up to them and told them their table was ready. Nick walked over to their table, and pulled out Judy's chair, and pushed it in for her.
Once Nick sat down there was a awkward silence. Nick finally broke it by saying
"So... what are you getting to eat?"
"Oh... I don't know" Judy picked up her menu and glanced around it.
"I think I'll just get a salad, how about you?"
"I'm getting the fish delight, have you ever tried fish?"
"No, I haven't, I don't think I can."
"Well, let's change that" Nick smiled at her.
For some reason, Judy was blushing. She kinda liked the sound of trying new food with Nick. Once their waiter came over and took their orders, he told them it would take around 10 to 15 minutes. They both nodded and patiently waited.
10 minutes has passed, and their food finally arrived. Nick was hungry, and Judy giggled as Nick practically gulped almost all of his fish up. Leaving a piece for Judy though.
Nick picked up the fish, and looked at Judy trying to get her approval. She nodded and he brought the fish to her mouth. Judy was furiously blushing. Nick just fed her fish.
"Does it taste good?"
"Well.. I guess, It taste kind of like nothing to me."
Nick's paw landed on Judy's paw as she finished chewing. Judy moved her paw and Nick moved his back to under the table. He thought he had just screwed up, made things awkward.
"I'm sorry.. I just.."
"Nick, it's okay. I just don't know if-"
Judy stopped and just looked down. She looked sad.
"I-if what Judy?"
"If I like you like that. I don't know if I can, Nick."
Their table was just filled with silence. Nick payed for their food, and they both walked out. Nick wanted to surprise Judy, so he took her to a mountain. It was right behind the restaurant. He used to come here with his friend Finnick, who moved away before Judy even met Nick.
Nick broke their silence and said "Maybe this will change how you feel."
He leaned in, and planted his lips on hers. Her eyes widened and her ears popped up. She liked it, she didn't want to pull away.
Nick finally broke the kiss and put his arm around Judy. She planted her head on his chest and they just sat there. Nick checked the time, and saw it was 10 already. He thought they should get home soon. Nick asked Judy if she wanted him to walk her home. She nodded, and connected her paw with his. They both just smiled at each other.
Once they reached Judy's house, Nick broke their hold and hugged her.
"I like you, carrots." He said jokingly, slightly hitting her arm.
She laughed, and said "I like you too Nick Wilde."
She walked inside, and waved goodbye to him. Nick started to walk back home, as he received a text message, hoping it was from Judy because he kind of missed her already. The text was from a unknown number. He opened it and instantly knew who it was.
"Well isn't this cute Nicky? You and Judy, eh? I thought something would of happened tonight, but it all went perfectly."
C
The text message was sent with a picture attached. Nick opened it to see him and Judy kissing. He tried to ignore it, considering he did like Judy. What's "C" going to do with the picture though? As Nick walked in his house, his parents greeted him, asking how the date went. He said it was fine, and walked to his room. Nick took off his suit, and layed on his bed, Thinking of Judy. He really did like her, but they couldn't be together. Everyone just has so much hate for interspecies relationships. He never understood why, it kind of seems like a racism thing. Like foxes should be with foxes, or bunnies should be with bunnies.
Nick passed out and woke up the next day around 8 am. He picked up his phone, and saw a text from Judy.
"Nick, I'm freaking out. My friends.. they know about-"
"About what, Judy?"
Nick waited awhile for her to text back, and when she did, Nick felt a pain in his heart.
"Everyone knows about us kissing, everyone at our school Nick."
Nick felt the warm tears running down his fur.
"Judy.. I promise, it will be alright. Uh, I never told you, but yesterday after our date, the person messaged me saying we were cute, and he showed me a picture of us kissing... I'm sorry Judy. He threatened to hurt you, and my family. I wouldn't let that happen just because I didn't kiss you."
"Well.. We're both still hurt."
Judy dropped her phone and sat against the wall, with her head on her knees. She knew she was screwed, and Nick was screwed too. She didn't bother to message Nick back. All she wanted was to be left alone. From everyone. From the world. She was always alone, and the first time she hasn't felt alone, someone via text has to ruin it for her. Judy never felt more rage in her whole life. Not even with her father, or her mother.
She was breaking.
Slowly....
