Back to school
"Come on Judy let's go!" Her grandparents yelled at her, "you don't want to be late to your first day back at school!"
"I'm coming, just wait!"
As Judy finished getting ready, she looked in her mirror, noticing the scar from elementary school. She looked past that, she didn't care anymore, all she cared about was going to highschool. Judy ran down the stairs, almost falling towards the end, and ran out the door to get in the car with her grandparents.
On the way to her school, her grandparents tried to start a conversation, they asked how her summer went, and if she was excited about going to highschool, Judy nodded, with a firm smile at them, as she started to play her music through her pink bunny earbuds, scrolling through her playlist, to listen to the one and only Gazelle.
Once they reached the school, Judy was ready to break the window to get out, she wanted to be back at school, she loved school.
Her grandparents said their goodbyes, and said "We'll see you after school, Judes! We love you!"
"Love you too" yelled Judy as they drove off.
Looking up at the huge highschool, she started to feel a little nervous. A little bunny, walking through these halls, hoping to not be trampled by a elephants trunk.
As Judy walked into the new school year, she began noticing people from
her elementary school. She went up to them, waved, and said hello, but they didn't quite remember her. They still said hello to her, trying to be nice. As she walked away from them she noticed people already being mean to other kids. That was the part she hated about school. Bullying.
The confident grey bunny, made her way to her homeroom, picking up her schedule, noticing she has Math first, which she loved. She thought
Well, we bunnies are good at multiplying.
Making her way to Math class, she noticed her teacher looked familiar, Judy being the confident bunny she was, she walked up to her teacher, asking if she taught at Zootopian elementary school, she teacher said "Yes! I remember you Judy, you were one of my best students!" The otter seemed very happy, and Judy made her way to her seat, sitting down, admiring her class. She LOVED it.
"Alright class, welcome to your first day back at school, how was everyone's summer?"
Everyone screamed, causing Judy, and the 2 other bunnies ears to sag.
"Alright alright, calm down everybody, you are in highschool now, remember that!" Snapped the otter.
Everyone settled down, as the teacher wrote her name on the board, spelling out "Mrs Otterton"
The teachers never liked to give out work on the first day, so everyone spent the day recovering with their best friends, asking how their summers went, and Mrs Otterton was talking to a few new students to Zootopia. Judy saw a handsome red coated fox walk through the door, with one strap of his backpack on him, and chewing gum. Judy just kept staring, she couldnt help it. She thought to herself
How can I see a fox as so cute and handsome? Foxes have been nothing but assholes to me.
The teacher walked over to the student, asking what his name was, Judy couldn't quite hear it over her roaring classmates, but she made up a name for him.
Handsome
Judy's first day was pretty simple, went to Math, and the rest of her classes, lunch, and then it was time to go home. She loved school, and everyone could tell, she was just happy for once.
The principal of her school, was a thick coated lion, who was saying goodbyes to the kids, and happy to see them all again. Judy began to walk with the rest of the kids, making her way out the door, as the principal stopped her, and pulled her aside.
"Judy Hopps, correct?" He said
"Y-yes nice to meet you"
"I'm principal Lionheart, and I want to welcome you, but I have heard what happened to you as a kid, and I want to make sure you are okay."
"I'm fine, I really am. What happened to me was the past" Judy said holding her scar
"Alright, Judy, but you must know, everyone who works here, can and will help you, we know what happened with your parents, and we just want the best for you."
Judy gave him a sad nod, and walked away.
She started to think about her parents.
Her dad passed when she was a kid, she love him, and couldn't leave, but he hurt her and her mom.
Her mom was sent to a mental hospital, after Judy's father passed, her mother couldn't handle it, she tried killing herself, to be with him. The voices in her head, told Judy's mom "I'm waiting for you Bonnie". Judy began to cry on her walk to her grandparents home, Only to bump into the same fox that was in her math class.
Handsome
They both held their head as she helped him pick up his stuff, and he said "Just... watch where you are going next time, alright carrots?"
She couldnt even speak, her head was aching but she just stared at him.
He had big emerald eyes.
"Alrighty then.." as he walked away slowly. Judy kept staring.
Something is up with him.. there's no way I can be falling for a fox.. I can't be...
*The next day*
Judy's grandparents offered her a ride, but she declined, as she gathered her stuff, and walked out the door.
She enjoyed the walk. The nice, yellow and orange sun, glowing as it rises.
The orange sun reminded her of her parents. She really missed them. She still talks to her mother, only everyone once in a blue moon.
Making her way to her school, she reached it, to be greeted by the same fox that she bumped heads with
Handsome
"Hey Judy"
"H.. Hey" She said as she stared into his eyes
"Alright. Well carrots, I wanted to know if I could borrow you homework and copy it, I know you bunnies are great at multiplying" he said smirking
"Uh.. yeah sure I guess. But what's your name"
"My name? My name is Nick Wilde, hon."
Nick.. why does that name sound familiar? I know I've heard it from somewhere...
As Nick finished copying her homework, he thanked her, and went to Math. She followed.
Everyone handed in their homework, and began to work on their assignment, followed quickly after the bell rang, everyone cried as the teacher informed them they had to take a test to see if they are in the right class or not. Everyone just sighed as the test was handed out to everyone, besides Judy.
She felt as everyone stared at her, she felt she was going to cry. She didn't like having people stare at her.
"Judy, you don't have to take the test, you're actually supposed to be in a grade higher Math."
Judy told the teacher it was fine, she didn't need to switch classes, she actually wanted to stay right here, in this Math class. She had nothing to do so she just started to think, lost in her trail of thoughts
I can't leave this class, I have to find more out about Nick. He seems so.. mysterious. Something is up with him. I know him from somewhere, I can sense it. He's just.. too familiar.
After everyone finished their test, it was time to continue the rest of her day, she thought it was pretty boring.
Making her way to lunch, she really had no one to sit with. Her memories started to come back as she sees Nick sitting with his friends at one of the back tables. She grabbed her lunch, and sat by herself. Nick came up to her, seeing that she was alone, and he just wanted to talk.
"Hey Judy" He said while smirking.
"Heya Nick, is there any chance you went to Zootopian elementary school?" You just seem... so familiar but I can't pin it down."
"Yeah, I did listen, I remember who you are, and I'm really sorry carrots, I only acted like that around my friends. I felt really bad when I just sat there.. and watched those girls hurt you."
Judy's fur turned from grey to dark red instantly.
"Whoa. Don't go acting all romantic on me now fluff."
Why does he have to give me all of these stupid ass nick - names
(Haha get it? Sorry. Back to the story)
"Anyways, I want you to come sit with me and my friends tomorrow maybe, you'll like them, I promise you."
Judy just blushed, she couldnt help it, he liked him.
He's a damn fox! I can't be falling for him. Everyone frowned upon interspecies relationships.
Nick just stared at her, as she thought to herself, he just walked away waving behind him.
Nick reached his table to be greeted by tons of high fives, and many smirks.
"That dumb bunny has no idea what she's getting herself into" said Nick's friends, all laughing.
Nick couldn't help but look at her eyes, they were beautiful.
What the fuck? Am I really staring at a bunny right now? She isn't even that cute
Nick just felt sad the rest of his day for some reason. He didn't like the idea of anyone being mean to Judy. He almost wanted to protect her from anything, but he can't show any emotions towards her, or he will be frowned upon as well. He heard the last interspecies couple broke up and they both ended up leaving the school, and leaving Zootopia.
As much as he would like to leave Zootopia, he couldn't.
*BEEP.. BEEP..*
Nick grabbed his phone and had a text message saying
"Alright Nick, (with a picture of him staring at Judy) do what I say, and maybe I won't send it to everybody, to make you the laugh stock of out school."
"Who the hell are you?" Nick replied balling his one fist. He just wanted to smash his phone.
"Me? Well Nick, I'm about to be your worst nightmare. See you later buddy!"
