Mylo turns to me.
"Are you okay?" He asks, taking his suit jacket off and handing it to me.
"I'm fine." I put the jacket on. Everybody that was dancing ran. Including Sarah. Nelly and Dave walk up to us. Nelly hands me my sword.
"We should get going." Dave suggests.
They all decide to walk home. It starts snowing again. They have conversations about stupid things, and probably the most serious things you've ever heard. When they got home they decided it was time for bed. Nelly led Hazel to her room, then went to her own.
I opened my closet. Nelly had filled it with things before we even got here. She told me that earlier. I grabbed some sweat pants that she'd given me, and walked out of the room, and in front of Mylo's. I raise my hand to knock. Until he opens the door. He was holding 3 t-shirts.
"Oh. Hi, I was going to take these to you." He says, I set my sweats on the ground and take off his jacket. Even though we were inside it was still freezing.
"Here." I say, handing him his jacket, he takes it and hands me the three tees.
"There you go. See you in the morning, Goodnight."
"Goodnight." I turn and walk into my room. I walk into my bathroom, and take a shower. After my shower, I got dressed and ready for bed. It was really cold still, So I laid in bed wrapped in the comforter, the sheets, and the blanket they had provided. Then I was finally a bit warm, but only a bit. It was still freezing. I finally drifted off to sleep, hoping it would be warmer in the morning. I awoke to sun shining through the window that was just above my bed. There were a few birds chirping, or squawking, outside. I pushed all the blankets off of me, and went to the closet to find something warm to wear. I chose a long sleeve shirt, jeans, and wool socks. I left my hair in a mess and went downstairs, welcomed by the smell of pancakes and bacon.
"Well somebody finally decided to get up." Nelly says. She wasn't dressed, and still in her pajamas.
"Sorry, I could barely get any sleep." I say.
"At least you're up now, Dave made pancakes!" She smiled.
"Yum." I sat down next to her, and rub my eyes. Mylo basically ran down the stairs.
"Hazel we've gotta go, there's something going on, somewhere and we've gotta go." He yells.
"Good explanation." I comment, standing. He was dressed, he had a sheath on and he looked pretty ready to go.
"Shut up!"
"What's happening?" I ask.
"There's a village in Kasulitan, they're being attacked by kiranas." He explains.
"How do you know this?" I ask.
"I have my ways, now go get ready." I walk upstairs, and change into the clothes I wore here. So, I didn't screw up Nelly's shirt, I walked into Mylo's room and got my sword, it was in his closet. I rushed back downstairs.
"Ready." He took off the key, and pushed it into the air.
"Kasulitan!" He yells, then the portal forms. We both climb in. There stood a big beautiful tree village, the trees sprinkling leaves, and the wind making the long branches sway. It looks serene, from here, but somewhere in the village there was trouble.
"Help! My cats!" A lady yells. I look forward to see elves, their faces decorated with war paints, and their clothes, charred and black. Mylo and I sprint toward the trouble. The elves, notice were, coming and jump on us. Some had bows, and others had swords, made out of sharpened stones. This was truly an army, and only Mylo and I were here to fight it. An elf jumps at me , and hold out its weapon. I stab my sword forward, it goes straight through the elf's stomach. It howls and groans at the pain, then goes limp. I use my foot and push it off my sword. An arrow whizzes past my head, and hits a tree, making it explode into green flames. I charge forward, swinging my sword left and right, clearing a path for me to get to the archer, the archer shoots an arrow once again, it missed and landed on a small hay stack, making it also be engulfed into green flames. I slash through the small elf's neck, making it fall on the ground in a puddle of its own purple blood. A sword touched my back. I turned and saw a baby elf, it had a stick, which I thought was a sword, dumb me.
"Dada." He or she cries. I scoop up the small child, and run to a woman, who looks to be on the far enough into the crowd that was watching us royally kick butt.
"Please watch this child." I say, she nods and takes him slash her out of my arms. I run back to the other elves, killing a few that were getting too close to the crowd.
Mylo and Hazel fought these little monsters until the army thinned and ran away. The crowd left with the wind during the fight. Except the woman who held the kirana baby. She was still there, watching.
"Thank you." I say, grabbing the baby from her arms. I look back at Mylo, who's head was cocked.
"You're welcome, it was really no problem, I love babies!" She says, smiling. I hear Mylo walk up behind me.
"You have a child. Why?" He asks.
"I accidentally killed it's parents. So now were gonna take care of it, until we find it a home." I reply, we walk away from the woman.
"Mabuk!" He opens a portal, and we walk through. "That baby is a kirana, it'll kill someone."
"Nah, it won't."
"BABY!" Nelly yells happily, grabbing the baby from my hand. "Gimme the baby."
"Hi Nell." I say.
"Is it a boy or a girl? Who's is it?" She rambles.
"The thing is I don't know, and I killed it's parents." I reply. "So were finding it a place to stay, and a new mom."
"Hazel, it's not a dog, you can't just give it away." Nelly says, taking the baby from my arms.
"You can have it." I suggest.
"I can! Dave please!" She begs.
"I don't see why not." He says.
"We have to find out the gender." Nelly lays the child down on the breakfast bar and pulls off it's nappy. I cover Mylo's eyes.
"What is it?" I ask.
"A girl, I think I'll call her Tessa."
