Chapter 7

Hi!

I know it's been a while since I updated last, and I apologize.

Feel free to leave me some questions if ya wanna!

And before I go I just wanna say...

You guys are looking like a whole meal.😍😍

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

"Wow."

Your voice came out in a breathy tone, shock and awe lacing your words as your e/c eyes stared up at the sight in front of you, heart pounding in your chest for some unknown reason.

The castle you stood before was huge.

Covered from top to bottom in golden designs and jewel-crusted flags with some sort of symbol on them.

The castle itself was made up of stone, but it looked like the gray rocks sparkled underneath the bright sunlight. A large body of water surrounded the large stone fortress, a draw bridge was the only way in and out of the castle courtyard.

When Namjoon had told you his stories about this land being filled with magic and wonder, you didn't exactly believe him...and who could blame you? The man was spewing nonsense...Claiming he was part of a story and that each person here played a great role in completing their own path.

You didn't believe him, because fairytales were exactly what they had always been; stories.

But as you stared up at the great castle before you...all of your disbelief fell away and all that was left was pure astonishment...

From the second you saw the castle you knew that Namjoon couldn't have been lying...

Because even though this great monument was built of nothing but stone and cement.. You knew that it was special...

Because it looked just like a Fairytale.

You could practically feel the magic radiating off of the building...pure amazement flooded through you in ways you didn't think possible.

Namjoon smiled softly at your reaction, his dimples making an appearance as he stared at you softly.

"Beautiful. Isn't it?" He breathed, green eyes moving to stare at the grand castle that had snagged your attention.

You could only nod your head.

"It's amazing."

Yoongi huffed from beside of you, annoyance written all over his features as he shoved his way between you and Namjoon.

"Well, are we just gonna stand here all day, or are we gonna go in?"

Your eyes narrowed on Yoongi's back, a glare making its way to your face as you watched him walk towards the castle.

Namjoon merely shrugged, extending his arm out to you, his smile only growing as your eyes met his.

"Shall we?"

You returned his smile, nodding your head and wrapping your arm around his.

Hoseok swallowed hard at the sight of Namjoon's body getting so close to yours.

He still wasn't sure about Namjoon's intentions with you and he had no idea what exactly was going on...A lot of things didn't make sense and until he figured out who Namjoon really was...he didn't want you getting too close.

Deciding to stay quiet, Hoseok simply followed close behind the two of you, eyes never leaving your back.

"So does anyone live here, anymore?"

Jin's voice asked from the beside Hoseok, his eyebrows raised in curiosity.

Namjoon sighed heavily, his free hand rubbing the back of his neck.

"That-uhm...That's a bit of a tricky question.."

Your brows furrowed.

"What do you mean?" You inquired.

The green-eyed hunter allowed his shoulders to slump as he continued to walk beside of you.

"Well...since The Keeper left there have been a lot of royals claiming that they deserve to take his place..."

Hoseok tilted his head.

"So?" He popped. "If this "Keeper" guy isn't back, why don't you just let one of them have it?"

Namjoon frowned.

"I'm afraid it isn't that simple.." He stated. "The only way that one can become The Keeper is to either have the gift passed down genetically or...The Keeper, himself,  must bestow the gift onto someone else willingly..."

"Wait." Jin said, rubbing his head. "You said it could be passed down genetically...Does that mean that The Keeper isn't immortal?"

The young hunter nodded his head slowly.

"No one is immortal, my friend. We all are born and we all die."

You nodded in understanding, your e/c eyes falling onto Yoongi's back who walked a few feet in front of you.

"So, these royals.." You started. "Do they live in the palace?"

Namjoon nodded slowly..

"I'm afraid so...they don't exactly trust one another...and so neither of them will leave the other alone in the palace, for the fear that they may find The Pages."

"The Pages?" Hoseok repeated.

You watched as the dirty blond man nodded.

"When The Keeper gave us our stories, he wrote them down to make sure that the endings were never changed....but, of course, since it is forbidden to know the ending of your stories...well, he his them away...some people believe that they are actually hidden in his palace..."

Seokjin hummed in response.

"But, if it is forbidden to know the ending, then why are these "royals" searching for The Pages?"

The Hunter sighed, stepping up onto the fallen draw bridge and helping you up also.

"There is an old legend that if someone actually finds The Pages..the Keeper's power will transfer to them....It's just a silly wives tale, but some believe it to be true.."

Jin nodded his head.

"Who exactly lives here now?" You popped.

"Well," Namjoon started. "Only two royals actually live in the palace...One of them is perfectly normal...a bit selfish and arrogant, but he's bearable."

"And the other?"

You watched as Namjoon's face fell slightly, an almost sad expression covering his handsome features as you all approached the large wooden door of the palace.

"He is cursed." Namjoon stated.

Your eyes widened at that word.

Cursed?

"What's wrong with him?" You blurted.

"He's..." He trailed off, eyes falling away from you. "I can't explain it..but please understand that he will probably be cold towards you...His story was supposed to end twenty years ago...but since The Keeper isn't here-"

"His story can't continue." You finished in a sad tone.

Namjoon nodded.

"Which means..."

You sighed, e/c eyes raising to clash with his green ones.

"That his curse can't be broken."

The hunter sighed, casting his gaze towards the door, before pounding his fist onto the wooden surface.

"Exactly." He popped. "So, please try to understand him..."

You nodded your head slowly, eyes watching as the large door slowly began to open, loud creaking filling your ears as the wood moved.

Once the doors had fully opened you slowly peaked your head in, eyes wandering all over the interior design of the place.

The floor was black and white marble, but there were a few large rugs that covered over the beautiful tile work. Large white beams were built along the edges of the walls, and golden vines wrapped around each one in a mystical manner.

Numerous paintings were hung up on the walls, each one of a different man.

A large staircase was placed in the middle of the room, breaking off into two different staircases that went in opposite directions from each other. Red carpet was placed in the middle of the stairs, leaving the white marble on the sides bare.

When your gaze rose to the ceiling you could feel your breath hitch.

Numerous gems of every color, shape and size decorated sparkled underneath the light of the grand chandelier. It almost looked as though they were stars...

"That's my favorite part too." Namjoon whispered from beside of you, catching your attention.

You smiled, eyes never leaving the ceiling.

"It's so amazing."

He nodded.

"When The Keeper designed it, he insisted that every single gem be different...Just like snowflakes."

"Snowflakes?" You repeated quietly. "Why?"

His smile only grew wider at your curiosity.

"He said that it represented his people...each one different...but each one just as valuable as the next."

"Huntsman?"

You came out of your awe'd stupor as a new voice filled the air around you, your body turning as you tried to find the source.

A young man stood at the top of the staircase, his head tilted to the side as he eyed all of you curiously.

His chestnut hair was combed neatly to the side, not one strand out of place. It was clear by his silk shirt and velvet black jacket that this was one of the royals Namjoon had told all of you about.

His handsome features were sharp and focused as his golden eyes scanned over each and every one of you, until the bright, golden color finally clashed with your e/c eyes.

A bright smile instantly made its way onto his face as he took in the sight of you, his body rushing forward, his legs carrying him down the steps in swift movements as he made his way towards you, his gaze never leaving yours.

"Princess?"

Your brows furrowed instantly at that word, a deep frown of confusion forming on your face as he continued to march towards you, determination evident in his deep gaze.

"Uhm... I'm not-"

Your words were cut short as his strong arms suddenly embraced you, bringing your body flush against his own.

Your eyes widened instantaneously at this sudden display of affection from a complete stranger.

"I've been waiting for so long." The young man husked into your hair, his nose inhaling your scent as he held you tighter.

This guy is nuts.

"What are you-"

"Okay, that's enough of that."

Seokjin marched over to the two of you, his eyes stern and hard as he pried the young royal's body away from your own and moved to stand between the two of you.

"What are you doing?" He asked with furrowed brows, annoyance directed towards your blue-haired friend. "Why are you trying to separate us?"

Seokjin raised his eyebrows.

"Because you are acting like a total creep, man." He deadpanned. "She doesn't even know you."

The young man slowly moved his eyes to yours, his smile returning.

"My name is Jungkook." He breathed happily, before turning back to look at Jin, his face once again morphing into one of unhappiness. "There. Now she knows me."

Yoongi's hazel eyes widened in disbelief, his palm meeting his face in a not-so-graceful manner.

"Oh dear god." He breathed. "Everyone here is a crazy person."

Jungkook's golden eyes snapped over to the black-haired man.

"I am not mad." He spat. "I am just happy to see her..that is all."

"Happy to see her?" Hoseok asked. "Do you know her?"

Jungkook's gaze fell onto yours again, his dreamy smile returning.

"She's my princess." He breathed happily. "The one I've been waiting for."

Once again...This guy is nuts.

"Well," You popped uncomfortably, catching everyone's attention. "I think you've got the wrong girl... I'm not even supposed to be here."

The young royal shook his head.

"I don't believe so." He hummed. "It is impossible for someone as beautiful as you to not be a princess..."

Did he just-

"Look, Mr. Jungcoke-"

"Jungkook." He corrected with a smile.

"Jungkook..." You continued. "I'm not a princess...I am a librarian.."

He tilted his head in confusion, moving to take another step towards you, only to be blocked by Jin once again.

Jungkook huffed in annoyance, giving Jin a death glare.

"You are going to be a problem." He mumbled out.

Jin smiled.

"I'm not even going to deny that."

"What is all of this racket?!"

You jumped back at the loud roar that suddenly filled the room you stood in.

Namjoon's hands met your upper arms to steady you, his green eyes moving to the top of the stair case where Jungkook had been only moments before.

You followed his gaze curiously only for your e/c eyes to widen at the sight you now beheld.

A young handsome man stood there, hands behind his back. His expression one of dominance and unhappiness he took you all in, clearly judging each and every person that stood in front of him.

His entire demeanor screamed "power" and the way he dressed only supported that.

He was dressed similarly to Jungkook, although he was much more tidy and neat. Not a single wrinkle or flaw was to be seen.

Even though he was a few yards from you, you could still make out his bright blue eyes form where you stood.

They were cold and unforgiving...

But they weren't the only things that got your attention..

Namjoon had said that he was cursed...but you didn't see anything physically wrong with him....which only heightened your curiosity.

"Jimin." Jungkook spoke from in front of Jin, his fingers pointing at you.

Jimin's blue gaze fell onto the other royal, his blond hair falling over his eyes.

"I should've known you would be the cause for the noise." Jimin stated coldly, eyes glancing to you. "You never can seem to shut up when a woman is present."

Jungkook frowned, his dark eyebrows crashing together.

"My princess." Jungkook growled out. "She's my princess."

Jimin raised his eyebrows, slowly looking towards you.

Silence hung in the air for a few moments as the two of you stared at each other..

The air quickly became thick with tension and some sort of unspoken battle as your e/c eyes clashed with his bright blue ones, causing a great feeling of discomfort to overcome you.

Jimin suddenly exhaled slowly through his nose before turning his eyes back onto the chestnut-haired male.

"Jungkook," Jimin started.

"What?" The young royal snapped.

Jimin's gaze once again shifted back to you, causing shivers to run dwon your spine as he spoke again, eyes never leaving yours.

"You're wrong about her...

She's not yours."
