Chapter 20

Hi!

Okay. Enough conversation.

Bye!

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Min Yoongi was panicking.

His usually calm demeanor had faded completely after his older sibling told him what he had revealed to you.

You knew. You knew how he felt about you. You knew that he...loved you...

After he got over the initial shock and the unstoppable desire to punch his brother in the face, Yoongi had begun to ponder on his situation....and that's what lead to all the panicking.

He didn't know what was going to happen now that his feeling had been revealed. He knew that you were probably still made at him about what he said at breakfast the other day, which meant that his chances of you coming to talk to him were very slim.

And he couldn't bring himself to track you down and talk to you.

No. He was too much of a coward to do that.

In the back of his mind, he kept praying that you would simply forget about what Jin had told you, or simply just not believe him.

But, he knew that you weren't the type of person to forget something like that, in fact he was almost certain that the only reason you hadn't already come to his room demanding answers was that you were angry with him and still ignoring him.

Min Yoongi was panicking.

He knew that he had to face you.

Even if it wasn't now. It was unavoidable.

The two of you would have to talk about it eventually..and he didn't know what he would say when that moment finally came.

His mind was telling him that he should do what he did best...lie.

If he pushed his feelings to the side, then he could deny everything and avoid the rejection that he was sure you'd give him. Nothing would change.

Nothing would change...

Yoongi let out a loud huff, his hands raking through his raven locks.

He wasn't happy.

He wasn't happy with the way he had treated you for all those years, he wasn't happy with the way he had acted towards you, he wasn't happy pretending to be happy.

The hard truth was...he had feelings for you.

This was the perfect chance for the two of you to begin again. A small chance for you two to start over...

His cards would be on the table.

He'd be giving you everything...putting himself entirely at your mercy.

He knew you wouldn't go easy on him.

But, he didn't want you to. He wanted you to scream at him. He wanted you to hit him. He wanted you to do whatever it took to make you feel better. He knew that the way he treated you was entirely unacceptable and ruinous..so he wouldn't hold it against you if you hated him.

He would hate him too.

"You want to talk to her."

Yoongi didn't even flinch at the sudden presence that entered his room, his eyes never leaving the floor.

He knew that Taehyung would eventually come to him.

Ever since the four of you had arrived, Taehyung had almost become your guard dog. Your protector....So when Jin told him what he had said..he knew it was just a matter of time before the orange-haired mad man showed up at his door.

"I do." Yoongi breathed silently. "I want to make everything right."

Taehyung sat on the edge of the bed, his elbows resting on his knees, his hands intertwined together. His face was stoic and void of emotion as he watched Yoongi stare at the floor silently.

His fun-loving, goofy side was now gone. Hidden underneath a layer of seriousness and caution.

"You're going to tell me not to, right?" The young sailor snapped, finally moving his eyes to Taehyung. "You came here to tell me to stay away from her."

The hatter sighed deeply, shaking his head as he moved to stand up.

"It is not my place to deny you her." He stated calmly. "I am aware of your feelings for her...and I understand your desire to speak with her."

This caused Yoongi's brows to shoot up in surprise and slight disbelief.

"Y-You do?" He stuttered out nervously.

Taehyung nodded his head, moving closer to the raven-haired man.

"Y/n is not my possession." He said. "She does not belong to me, nor does she need my help. She is a strong woman and she is more than capable of handling her own business."

Yoongi couldn't stop the small smile that spread onto his face at the mad man's words.

He was certain that Taehyung was going to try and get in his way and tell him to back off of you...so hearing these words...well, it was a nice surprise.

"However," Taehyung continued slowly. "She is still a woman."

The sailor's smile faded at that, his expression falling.

"What are you trying to say?" He gritted out.

Taehyung hummed, eyes scanning over the room briefly.

"I do not see her as an object." He began. "And neither should you."

"I don't-"

"Yes you do." Taehyung interrupted. "You're incredibly possessive of her. You are constantly getting riled up and jealous whenever she talks to any other man. You act entirely out of line and you fall back into your habit of hurting her."

Yoongi frowned, his jaw clenching.

"And?" He spat. "I have feelings for her, of course I get jealous...What's your point?"

Taehyung 'tsk'd, shaking his head in disapproval.

"My point is this, sailor," He snapped, his multi-colored eyes glaring at him. "You tend to get angry very easily and when you're angry, you hurt Y/n."

He inhaled deeply through his nose, his gaze never once wavering.

A shiver ran down Yoongi's spine at the cold look, fear beginning to creep up his spine at the unfamiliar glare that rested on the usually happy man.

"If you truly intend to speak to her about your feelings," Taehyung continued coldly. "Then you had better make extra sure that you are prepared to keep your feelings under control."

Yoongi straightened his posture, his expression becoming hard.

He wasn't about to let this mad man intimidate him.

"And if I don't?"

Within the blink of an eye, Taehyung was in front of him, his eyes locking with Yoongi's.

"The last time you hurt her, I almost ripped your head off." He growled quietly. "You keep your temper under control and if you begin to feel even the slightest bit angry, you keep your mouth shut...If not, I can assure you that you and I will be meeting under less than happy circumstances."

He took a step backward, glaring down at the black-haired male.

"She deserves everything." He stated. "She deserves the entire universe...and if all you have to offer are a few stars, then don't waste her time..."

The young sailor frowned, moving his eyes to the window of the room, watching as the snow fell outside.

"Maybe I shouldn't even try." He stated. "She'd be better off without me."

Taehyung frowned.

"The two of you are going to have to speak about your feelings..." He sighed. "And no one can know what will be said or what feelings will be shared...If she decides that she loves you, then I will be forced to accept it...However, if she rejects you...You must be mature enough to understand and walk away."

Yoongi nodded his head in understanding.

"I don't want to hurt her." He whispered.

The orange-haired man watched him silently.

"I believe that." He popped. "But, the problem is...You did hurt her. For all those years..and like it or not you cannot simply forget about it and neither can she. You need to begin to rebuild yourself from the ground up."

"The ground up?" Yoongi repeated.

Taehyung nodded his head.

"It is a slow and difficult process." He breathed out. "And it will not be easy to do...but if you truly want to help her...if you are serious about becoming better...then you will stop acting foolishly. You will pull yourself together and you will grow up....for her."

The black-haired man nodded slowly.

"For her...." He whispered.

A small smile pulled on Taehyung's lip as he watched the young man begin to ponder his words.

The hatter's feet began to move towards the window of the room, his arms swinging it open, allowing the cool air to blow into Yoongi's room.

The sailor's head snapped up at the sudden change in temperature.

"Why are you helping me?" He asked.

Taehyung smiled widely, watching as the snow fell.

"I'm not." He popped. "I'm simply telling you how to treat my darling with the respect she deserves-the respect that she has earned. I am simply telling you to be a better person...That does not mean I think she should be with you."

Yoongi frowned as he watched Taehyung climb into the window sill, his hands gripping the stone wall as he stood to his feet in the window.

"Then who do you think she should be with?" He asked. "You?"

Taehyung smiled softly, his hair blowing in the cool breeze as he looked over his shoulder at the young man.

"What a funny question." He said softly.

"You think it's funny?"

"Don't you?" He retorted, moving his gaze back to the outside world. "You are so caught up in her emotions, that you fail to see that she is more than just the subject of your affection. She is her own person. Her story is something greater than simply falling in love. The sooner you realize that, the better."

Yoongi took a step forward.

"How do you know so much about her story?" He asked. "You've only known her for a few days."

Taehyung grinned widely, his hands releasing the stone wall.

"She's my confetti." He answered softly. "I forget the rest."

Before Yoongi had a chance to react, Taehyung's body was leaning forward and falling out of the window with ease.

The sailor blinked in surprise, his heart dropping to his chest in dread.

His legs moved over to the window swiftly, eyes scanning over the outside world frantically as he began to panic.

He was in one of the tallest parts of the castle and he was sure no one could survive that fall.

His body froze when your laughter filled his ears.

His hazel gaze snapped to your form, watching as you slowly put the last touches on a snowman you had been building alongside the chestnut-headed prince.

A sigh of relief left his lips as Taehyung's figure appeared from behind the snowman, a large, orange carrot now in his hands as he greeted you warmly.

Yoongi ran a hand through his hair as Taehyung grabbed the hood of your velvet cloak, pulling it over your head and making sure you were warm.

You let out a laugh as Taehyung pulled you closer by your hood, planting a soft kiss to your forehead, before handing you the carrot and allowing you to continue building the snowman.

The black-haired man wasn't even going to try and comprehend what just happened or how Taehyung managed to get down there without a single scratch on his body..

All  he knew was that in that moment, when he saw you smile widely..His heart began to pound uncontrollably.

He knew that there was no denying it.

You had hooked him forever.
