Chapter 2
Wow. This book has only been published for a day and it's already gotten so much love...Only one day and it's got 1k...(that rhymed)
I don't know what to do with this information...
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
You let out a quiet huff of annoyance as you sat down on the kitchen counter, your feet dangling over the edge as you watched your best friend shuffle around the kitchen.
"I'm bored." You complained.
Seokjin merely rolled his eyes before grabbing the oven mits from beside of you.
"Hi, bored. I'm Jin."
Your shoulders slumped at his terrible joke, eyebrows raising as you tried not to smile.
"There's something seriously wrong with you." You deadpanned.
Your best friend blew you a kiss, his mitten-covered hands reaching into the hot oven and pulling out the pan of chicken he had placed in it moments before, the delicious aroma floating into your nostrils instantly, making your mouth water.
"Don't even think about it." Jin scolded.
Your eyes snapped up to his a pout beginning to form on your lips at his denial.
"Why not?"
He frowned, placing the hot pan onto the dining room table.
"We still have to set the table and wait for Hoseok to get here."
Your bottom lip stuck out dramatically as your eyes grew bigger.
"I just want a taste." You lied.
Seokjin saw right through you, though and shook his head fervently.
"I have known you for years, Y/n...and I know that if I let you "taste" this, there will be absolutely none left."
You frowned.
"Why you gotta expose me like that?"
Jin offered you a smile, his hand moving up to pet your hair gently as his brown eyes bore into your e/c orbs.
"I do it because I love you."
You scoffed, hopping off the counter and giving him a playful glare before walking towards the dish cabinet.
"What are you doing?" Jin popped with a raised eyebrow.
"Uh...getting the dishes so I can set the table."
Your best friend moved into action, shaking his head fervently as he gently nudged you away from the cabinets, pushing you towards the stair case in the hallway.
"I'll take care of that, you go wake up Yoongi."
Your eyes widened slightly, your body beginning to fight against his not-so-gentle pushing.
Oh no.
The last thing you wanted to do was be in Yoongi's presence, let alone talk to the guy!
"No way!" You countered, trying to dig your heels into the tile. "You do it!"
Jin sent you a warning look, pushing you even harder towards the stairs.
"I can't. I have to watch the rest of the food."
"I'll do that! He's your brother! You go talk to him!"
The blond-haired man gave you a disapproving glare.
"First of all: If you think I'm leaving you alone with the food after you almost burned down my kitchen, You're insane....Second of all: I know that Yoongi isn't your favorite person, but he can't help that he was adopted and doesn't bear the all-powerful "Kim charm". You need to learn to put up with each other!"
You huffed in annoyance. He didn't even know the half of it.
"We already put up with each other!"
Jin's movements halted as he raised an eyebrow, giving you a judgmental look.
You let out a heavy sigh.
"Fine." You relented. "I'll do it, but I expect something in return."
Jin smiled widely at you, his brown eyes shining in happiness.
"Anything you want." He stated. "Just name it."
You grinned at his cuteness, your hand moving up to lightly tap your cheek.
"Kiss."
Your best friend stared at you for a few seconds before letting out a huff and pecking your cheek with his lips.
You giggled happily, watching as a silly grin rested on his handsome features, his brown eyes scanning over you.
"There. You got your kiss. Now go."
You nodded your head before clicking your heels together, saluting him.
"Yes sir."
Jin raised an eyebrow, a smirk pulling on his lips as he took a step closer to you, his hot breath fanning on your face.
"That's kinky, babygirl."
You couldn't stop your eyes from widening at his sudden change of tone, playfulness swimming in his dark iris' as he scanned over your face, watching for any kind of reaction. .
Dear sweet baby Jesus.
Clearing your throat awkwardly, you rubbed the back of your neck, your feet moving backwards as your heart began to thump loudly at his blatant flirting.
Jin's expression never changed as you moved away from him, that stupid, sexy smile never once faltering...as if he was enjoying the fact that you were so flustered.
"W-Well," You croaked. "I'm-I'm gonna go get Yoongi. You just...stay there."
The blond haired man chuckled deeply, nodding his head towards the stairs as a signal for you to go.
You were happy to obey.
Wait. That sounded so wrong-
Your feet couldn't get you out of there fast enough.
You practically sprinted up the staircase, heart still pounding for some reason that was entirely unknown to you....okay, well not entirely unknown...After all you did just run up the stairs, so that probably had something to do with why your heart was beating so fast....You usually don't run for anything...Unless it's food....You always run for food.
But on a serious note....you were seriously confused about what had just gone down...You knew that Jin was only kidding, like usual, but you couldn't stop replaying the moment...The way his voice lowered until it sounded like velvet. The way his eyes scanned over you. The way he smiled that million-dollar smile....God, you could have melted right then and there.
But, of course, you would never do anything like that. Jin was your best friend and the two of you would never....You know. It was morally right. What the two of you had was perfect and you couldn't risk it just because Jin was suddenly becoming more and more attractive to you.
You could handle it.. You could control yourself. What's so great about him anyway?
Sure, he's got a handsome, flawless face and yeah, his body is freaking fantastic...and his lips were the most beautiful shade of pink you had ever seen, but he wasn't that good-looking.
You guessed that he was okay....So what if he smelled like absolute heaven? So what if his hands fit perfectly into yours? So what if his eyes were such a deep shade of brown that you wanted to stare into them for hours and dive into them-
Oh no. You were screwed.
You ran a hand through your hair as your body stopped, eyes landing on Yoongi's bedroom door as you tried to rid your mind of your best friend. The last thing you needed was for Yoongi to see you blushing.
Taking a deep breath, you hesitantly opened the door.
"Jin told me to tell you that dinner is-"
"Y-Yoongi!"
Your movements stopped as a high-pitched voice filled your ears, eyes widening in absolute terror.
Oh. My. God.
The mint-haired man instantly took notice of your presence, his body rolling off of the young brunette beneath him as his bare chest heaved with deep breaths, his mint-colored undercut messy and tousled from his "activities".
He struggled to cover himself with the thick duvet, his body crashing onto the floor in a failed attempt to make himself modest.
You just thanked God that you hadn't seen anything....else.
"S-Sorry!"
You yelled as you slammed the door shut, eyes still wide.
There is no way to unsee what you just saw.
You shook your head at the sound of yelling that sounded from the other side of Yoongi's door.
You could tell he was hurriedly getting dressed on the other side, more than likely coming to beg you not to tell his brother about...all that.
No way. You were not about to talk with him after what you had just witness.
Your body shot into panic mode as you began to speed-walk down the long hallway, mind focused on getting back downstairs before Yoongi could corner you and force you to talk with him.
Your heart jumped at the sound of his door opening, a feminine voice yelling for him to come back.
"Y-Y/n!"
Your eyes widened as you began to walk faster.
Oh no.
No. No. No. No. No. No. No. N-
"Y/n, wait!"
NO. NO. NO. NO.
You could see the stair case. Freedom was just at your fingertips. If you could get down the stairs, you could be free from the mint-haired monster that was surely going to haunt your dreams after what you had just witnessed.
An unexpected squeak left your lips as your arm was suddenly pulled back, your body being guided to the small bathroom that was located at the top of the staircase.
You tried to get away, but he was too strong.
You fought bravely.
But it was not enough to help you escape his evil clutches.
"Can you stop wiggling for like two seconds?!"
You shook your head at his request, trying your best to get away from him. You were scarred and the fact that he was shirtless and only wearing a pair of low-hanging jeans only made you want to get away even more.
"Let me go!" You whined. "I really don't want you touching me!"
Yoongi frowned at your words, his hands slowly releasing you as he ran a hand through his hair, clenching his jaw.
You stopped struggling, taking a step backwards just in case he tried touching you again.
His chest heaved as his hazel eyes scanned around the small room for a few moments before locking on yours.
Your brows furrowed as you tilted your head...Why was he looking at you like that?
"Listen, Y/n," He started with a quiet voice. "What you just saw-I didn't-"
He sighed, rubbing his face as he struggled to find the right words to say to you.
Was he..nervous?
"She doesn't mean anything to me." He stated, moving closer to you.
You froze at his words, heart falling into your stomach...Why was he explaining himself to you? It's not like you two were close. You couldn't even bear each other's company for more than two minutes...So why on earth was he trying to justify himself to you of all people?
"It was a mistake." He continued, eyes never leaving yours. "It was just a stupid mistake. I never meant-"
"Why are you telling me this?" You blurted. "I honestly don't care who you sleep with. It's your life. I just care that I was unfortunate enough to walk in on it. Seriously, man. Learn how to hang up a sock or something."
Yoongi's eyes widened for a brief moment, before hardening on your form, his jaw clenching in anger and annoyance as he took a step backwards, nodding his head sarcastically.
You were shocked by his sudden change of behavior.
"Right." He ground out. "You don't care. You never care."
You raised your eyebrows, crossing your arms.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Yoongi glared at you before running a hand through his mint-colored undercut, a heavy sigh escaping his lips.
"Nothing." He spat. "Nothing at all."
You tilted your head as he turned towards the door, slamming it open before stopping in his tracks.
He looked over his shoulder at you before speaking again.
"You're a real piece of work, ya know that?"
Your eyes widened in confusion as he exited the bathroom, stomping back down the hallway to his bedroom.
"Hey!" You yelled after him. "Dinner is ready!"
"Not hungry!"
With those last words, he slammed the door shut, the loud sound causing you to flinch as it echoed throughout the entire house.
You stared at the now empty hallway with confusion written all over your features.
What just happened?
A/N,
Alright, so I know this isn't my usual writing style, but I want to try something different...I want to make this story funny as well as angsty. It's a bit unusual for me, but I'm enjoying it so far.
Update on my personal life: I'm hungry.
Thanks for your support.
