Hello, babies!

Don't mind me, I'm just gonna leave this chapter here for all the Taehyung enthusiasts. And a little for the Jin enthusiasts.

Okey...Bye!

Enjoy!

Confetti.

There's a funny thing to think about.

Small, colorful pieces of paper that we throw in times of celebration or happiness. We throw it at birthday parties, or graduation ceremonies...we even throw it on New Years...

Usually, when we see confetti, our minds instantly recall something wonderful and bright..It awakens something childish inside of us...and gives us a feeling of absolute wonder..

Some people say that, in a sense, our lives are like confetti...falling in an unknown direction, continuously moving about, being blown around by wind until we finally land on the ground...and our journey is finished.

But, that isn't necessarily true...

We are each our own person, standing alone in a colorless and darkened world. We spend our lives searching for magic and color...waiting to see the confetti..

What we don't realize is that, when we least expect it..confetti comes raining down...not in the form of colorful paper...but in the form of someone we love.

In this world, there are so many things that darken our lives, numerous people that try to stomp on us and hurt us...but sometimes...there are people who take our hand and light up our world, filling it with color and wonder....

Those people...are confetti.

Whether they give us a polite word, or simply a smile...those small tiny things that make our day even the least bit better...make confetti fall.

The people that make our heart flutter and our smiles widen. The people who make our sides hurt from laughter and our eyes water in happy tears...those people are the things that color our world.

Confetti.

A soft hum erupted from the mad hatter as he placed the small candy into his mouth, happily chewing on it as his eyes scanned over the large snow-covered forest before him.

He sat perched on the roof of the castle's highest tower, his legs hanging over the side nonchalantly, the height not bothering him in the least bit as he swung his feet back and forth.

This was his favorite part of the castle.

He liked being up high, where he could see everything around him, it made him feel like he was away from all of the problems that existed on the ground...

It was peaceful-relaxing.

When Taehyung was little he had always gotten scolded for climbing up too high in the trees of the forest, his parents telling him that it was far too dangerous to be so high up...but he never cared...he never felt as though he were in danger..

"Y/n, wait."

Taehyung's ears perked up at the new voice that filled the air, his multicolored eyes moving to find the source of the voice.

He watched as you stormed onto the balcony that was located a few yards below where Taehyung sat, an angry expression covering your face as you turned to look at Jin who stormed out after you.

"Don't." You deadpanned coldly. "I don't want to talk to you."

Seokjin sighed deeply, running a hand through his royal blue locks, a conflicted expression on his face.

"I'm sorry." He said. "You know that I would never hurt you-"

"See, that's the thing," You interrupted. "I don't know that. You lied to me!"

Jin shook his head, moving closer to you.

"I never lied!"

You gawked at him with an awed expression.

"Not telling me is the same as lying!"

Taehyung watched with raised eyebrows as Jin rubbed his hands down his face, his mind clearly trying to come up with some kind of excuse.

"She meant nothing." He stated. "I was drunk. It was late. I made a mistake."

You scoffed, crossing your arms.

"Wow." You gasped sarcastically. "You made a mistake? See, that changes everything."

The young genie frowned at your words, his shoulders slumping.

"She came onto me." He countered. "I was too out of it to stop her, I don't even remember a lot of what happened."

"Is that supposed to make me feel any better?" You snapped. "Drunk or not...you could have said no, Jin. But you didn't you chose to sleep with her and you can't take that back no matter how badly you want to.."

"I know." He sighed. "I just- I'm sorry that I hurt you...I'm sorry that you had to find out like that...I should have told you myself...but instead you had to hear it from-"

"Yoongi." You finished for him, eyes falling to the ground.

You bit your lip in frustration.

When you had come up to your room, you weren't expecting to find your former best friend waiting there for you..his presence only put you in a bad mood and the fact that he insisted on speaking with you was even more annoying.

You wanted to punch him in the face, but at the same time you wanted to hug him and cry in his arms...You wanted him to tell you that everything was going to be okay..

He would always do that when you had a problem..but now, the problem was him.

"Listen," You started quietly. "You and me...We were best friends...we grew up together. You knew what I was going through...you knew what she had done to me better than anyone else..so why did you even think about having sex with her?"

Jin took a small step forward, a sullen expression on his face.

"I told you, I was drun-"

"Don't give me that." You spat. "I've seen you drunk, Jin. You may have gotten wasted, but you have never ever been so drunk that you didn't know what you were doing. Ever."

The blue-haired male froze, swallowing hard as his head hang.

"So why?" You whispered. "Why did you sleep with her?"

Seokjin bit his lip, his fists clenching at his sides, before he slowly spoke.

"Because I was angry." He confessed.

Your brows furrowed in confusion at his words.

"Why?" You asked. "Were we fighting? I don't-"

"I wasn't angry at you." He interrupted, his eyes moving to yours reluctantly.

"Then who?" You questioned, confusion lacing your tone.

Jin swallowed hard, his jaw clenching.

"Yoongi."

Taehyung grabbed a handful of his newly-acquired popcorn, munching on it contently as he watched the scene unfold from below him. He was mentally preparing himself to go down there and swoop in and protect you from your pushy friend.

Your eyebrows furrowed.

"You were mad at Yoongi?" You clarified. "Why?"

You could tell that Jin was reluctant to tell you, his knuckles whitening as he hesitated to open his mouth.

"It was the weekend of your finals," He started slowly. "The night we had that big party at my place..."

You nodded in remembrance as he continued.

"You had stayed home to study, so I was dreading the party." He stated. "It was mostly Yoongi's friends that were coming over, so when people started arriving I went into his room to bring him down to greet the guests..."

Taehyung listened intently to the conversation from above, his multicolored eyes watching your reaction.

"I was about to knock on his door when I heard Jisoo start yelling at him," He sighed. "Apparently Yoongi was breaking up with her and she wasn't happy...She started screaming about how he was an unfaithful dick and how the person he loved could never love him back."

"Ah." Taehyung whispered to himself, his mind connecting the dots as he munched his popcorn.

"Yoongi was in love?" You asked, completely oblivious to the man that sat above you.

Jin nodded.

"I was just as surprised as you," He breathed. "Yoongi got angry with her and told her to get out...I was just about to leave when I heard Jisoo yell something else at him..Something that made me freeze.."

You swallowed hard.

"What did she say?"

He frowned.

"She told him that you were a slut and that you weren't worthy of his time."

"M-Me?" You stuttered. "Why would she bring me into that?"

Seokjin lowered his gaze fro a second before moving it back to your figure.

"Because the girl that Yoongi is in love with.." He paused briefly. "Is you."

Those words were enough to make you go completely still, your eyes widening in surprise and shock.

Taehyung leaned forward slightly, raising an eyebrow.

He had seen the way that the black-haired sailor had eyed you, his eyes never leaving your form when you spoke. You always had his undivided attention...even if you didn't know it...

Jin's words didn't exactly surprise him, but he would be lying if he said that he had expected Jin to be so straightforward with you.

You swallowed hard, taking another step backwards as you eyed the blue haired genie before you.

"That's not very funny, Seokjin." You stated softly.

Jin shook his head, moving towards you.

"I'm telling you the truth, Y/n." He breathed. "My brother is in love with you."

"You-You don't know that...You probably just misheard him."

Seokjin sighed, his gaze falling to the ground.

"I didn't." He said. "I know what I heard. I even asked him about it afterwards...He told me everything."

You bit your lip, running a hand through your messy hair.

You didn't know what to believe. For all you knew, Jin was simply trying to pull your leg and make you confused..Make you question your relationship with Yoongi...

But, it did make sense to some extent.

It would certainly explain why he had chased after you that night at Jin's when you found him with Jisoo..It would also explain why he apologized to you profusely, telling you that she didn't mean anything to him..

Had you seriously been so blind to his feelings? Is that why he was always so frustrated with you?

Everything he had said, slowly began to make sense, clicking into place inside your mind.

Maybe...he really did have feelings for you...but right now, that didn't matter.

"That-That doesn't explain why you slept with her." You stated, looking back to Jin.

Taehyung chuckled quietly from above.

"Busted." He whispered.

Seokjin frowned deeply, nervousness overcoming his form.

"After I heard what he said..I got angry."

"Why?" You asked. "So he liked me...Why would that make you so angry?"

He took a small step forwards, heart pounding wildly in his chest, palms sweating.

"Y/n.." He breathed, dark brown eyes scanning over your features.

You swallowed hard.

"Wh-Why did you get so angry, Jin?"

Taehyung tensed up, hearing the way that your voice cracked as you stared at him, clearly uneasy.

"I'm sorry." Jin said.

"Tell me." You demanded. "Why?"

Taehyung stood from his sitting position, his face setting into a hard expression as he watched you grow increasingly uncomfortable...He would have already gone down there...but he knew that it wasn't his place...not yet.

"Because I was jealous." Jin stated softly. "When Yoongi told me that he loved you...I was jealous."

"I-I don't understand." You said, trying to push back your suspicions. "Why were you jealous?"

Seokjin took a deep breath, his dark brown orbs filling with unshed tears.

"I didn't want to tell you like this." He chuckled sadly. "But, I guess I don't have much choice, do I?"

"J-Jin?"

"I love you, Y/n." He blurted. "And I don't mean in a friendly way...I'm in love with you."

Your breath hitched in your throat, shock and panic completely filling your senses.

He loved you? Your best friend loved you?

Well, you certainly didn't see that coming.

You didn't know what to think in that moment-you didn't know what to do.

How were you even supposed to react to this information? This had never happened before with anyone..let alone your best friend...whom you had known your whole life.

You needed to get away..You need to get away from him...at least until you had time to think about everything.

"I-I need you to leave." You said.

Jin's brows furrowed as he stepped forward.

"We need to talk about this." He stated. "We need to talk about us."

"I agree." You deadpanned. "But, not now...not like this."

"Then when?" He pushed.

"I-I don't know." You answered truthfully. "Whenever I figure this out."

"What is there to figure out?" He asked. "I'm in love with you. Tell me how you fee-"

"You're really pushy."

Taehyung's voice rang from behind Seokjin, the blue-haired man turning to face him in a quick moment.

"T-Taehyung?" He asked. "How did you-"

The mad hatter raised a brow, shutting off Jin's sentence before pushing past him and moving to stand in front of you.

"So," He started, a warning tone underlying his words as he glared at Jin. "What are we talking about?"

Jin glanced to you for a brief moment before moving back to Taehyung, a frustrated huff leaving him as he watched you avoid his gaze.

"Nothing." He stated.

The orange-haired man watched with narrowed eyes as Jin turned on his heel, storming out of the room angrily.

As soon as the door slammed shut, Taehyung turned towards you, a soft smile forming on his face as he eyed you.

"Did you hear all of that?" You asked softly.

"Not if you didn't want me to." He stated, wrapping his arms around you in a comforting embrace.

You sighed in relief, hugging him back, the scent of cotton candy filling the air.

"What am I supposed to do?" You asked.

The hatter raised his hand, petting your hair.

"I don't know." He said truthfully. "Only you can make that decision."

You bit your lip, nodding your head in agreement.

"You're right." You sighed out. "Thanks for saving the day..again."

Taehyung chuckled, placing his hand on your cheek gently.

"I'll always save you," He began with a smile.

"Really?" You asked.

He nodded.

"Of course...after all,

You're my confetti."
