Chapter 15

Well, this book is moving kind of slowly-*looks at chapter number*

WHAT THE HECK!? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?!

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

A small smile pulled on your lips as you looked at the sleeping man before you, your eyes softening as you took in his peaceful expression.

Jimin's breathing was steady and quiet as he leaned against the arm of the chair in which he currently sat.

The young prince had dozed off as you cleaned his wound, the warmth of the fire in front of you comforting him and your soft humming lulling him into a peaceful slumber.

Your e/c eyes raked over his features.

For a moment you had forgotten that this was the same man that had treated you so coldly the night before, demanding that you have dinner with him and throwing a tantrum when you refused.

His soft blond hair fell over his closed eyes as he adjusted his sleeping position slightly, a small sigh moving past his parted lips.

He looked so soft.

His features were usually sharp and his eyes were always cold and distant, but as he slept, his cheeks puffed out cutely...almost like a child.

You couldn't stop yourself from reaching up and removing a strand of golden hair from his face, pushing it out of the way.

The young prince let out a contented sigh, leaning into our touch slightly.

You smiled to yourself before standing to your feet and walking over to the small couch that was placed on the other side of the room.

You had remembered seeing a blanket draped over the piece of furniture when you had first come into the room.

You grabbed the blanket, walking over to Jimin and gently placing it over his body gently.

Jimin snuggled into the newly found warmth, his body relaxing further into his sleep as he adjusted his position slightly.

Slowly, you walked backwards, giving the blond-haired man one last look before leaving the large room in which he slept.

You knew that he was probably tired from everything that had gone on today, but you couldn't help but wish that he had stayed awake for a little while longer...at least then you'd have an excuse not to be around Jin and Yoongi...

But, he needed rest and you weren't about to wake him.

Besides, he looked adorable while sleeping.

That sounds kind of creepy.

"How is he?"

Your body jumped in surprise at the sudden presence beside you.

You turned your head to stare at whoever had startled you.

Jungkook stared at you with widened eyes, his golden orbs filled with worry and anxiety as he waited for your answer.

His clothes were disheveled and wrinkled, his hair messy and tangled, you assumed that he had been running his hands through it...as he had done many times before.

You had almost forgotten that the two brothers were twins, after all, they were completely different and they didn't look alike...But you could clearly see Jungkook's worry for his brother in his eyes, his hands shaking slightly.

Jimin's injuries weren't too serious, but Jungkook looked so worried and terrified..

You gave him a smile of reassurance.

"He's okay." You stated. "It wasn't too serious..He's sleeping right now."

A sigh of relief left Jungkook's lips as his mind registered your words.

"Thank god." He breathed.

You patted his shoulder in a friendly manner, eyes moving over his appearance.

"Have you been out here the whole time?" You asked softly.

Jungkook nodded his head, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I-I just wanted to make sure he was okay..."

You hummed in response.

"He's gonna be okay." You stated. "There's no need to worry."

The young prince sighed, running a hand through his hair.

His action caught your attention, your eyes moving to his chestnut colored locks, a smile forming on your face as you watched it fall back into place.

You brought your hands up to the prince's head, the temptation to touch his hair becoming unbearable.

Jungkook watched your actions with furrowed brows, his head tilting in confusion as your hands began to pet his hair.

He swallowed hard at the feeling that began to bloom in his chest at your close proximity, your breath fanning over his face as you stared at his chestnut locks with an awestruck expression.

He bit his lip as you began to run your fingers through his hair, a feeling of bliss washing over the young prince as his eyes fluttered shut, all previous thoughts leaving his mind.

Jungkook had never liked it when people played with his hair. In fact, he hated it.

His whole life, Jimin had been treated like the older brother, he was always treated with maturity, mostly because the servants feared him...because of his curse.

But Jungkook was the "baby" of the castle. Everyday he was treated like a child, even when he and Jimin turned eighteen, the servants still insisted on treating him like a kid..They'd pick out his clothes for him, tell him what to eat and...play with his hair.

He hated it.

It made him feel weak and pathetic. He was a grown man and perfectly capable of taking care of himself, but the servants back home didn't seem to care, they never cared about what he had to say...

So Jungkook kept his hair relatively short, always making to it was styled and fixed...even after he and Jimin left their home, he still continued to do it...It was a subconscious decision.

He hated when people played with his hair.

But he couldn't stop himself from enjoying the way your hands felt as the ran through his thick, brown locks.

A shaky breath left his lips.

He could certainly get used to this.

"You should let your hair grow out." You stated softly.

Jungkook swallowed and nodded his head, his eyes still closed as he agreed with you blindly.

He couldn't understand himself in that moment. He had always despised people touching him, but when you raked your fingers across his scalp, he found himself ready to give you anything you wished for.

"Alright." He breathed.

You smiled.

"You'll look so fluffy." You continued. "Just let it grow out and fall freely."

The golden-eyed prince hummed, nodding once again.

"Alright." He repeated.

You raised an eyebrow.

"And then you should shave it all off." You tested.

"Alright."

You chuckled, removing your hands from his hair, a smile playing on your lips.

Jungkook almost whimpered at the loss of contact, his eyes snapping open as you pulled away from him.

He looked like a kicked puppy, his golden eyes wide and curious as he tilted his head.

"W-What.." His words trailed off, mind still dazed form the way you had played with his hair.

You sent him a smile.

"I didn't get to eat breakfast." You stated. "I'm going to see if I can find something to hold me over until dinner."

The young prince nodded in understanding, a pink blush coming up on his face.

He didn't know why he suddenly felt the need to be so close to you and have your attention. He felt like a child again...But in a good way.

"Are you blushing?"

A loud curse left Jungkook's lips as the familiar voice filled his ears, the sudden proximity startling him.

Taehyung tilted his head as he watched Jungkook regain his composure, his orange hair falling over his eyes as he munched on the small cookie in his hands.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook scolded. "What have I said about popping up like that!?"

Taehyung shrugged his shoulder.

"To not to."

You chuckled at the hatter's response, your head shaking.

The orange-haired man smiled widely at the sound of your laugh, his body instantly moving over to yours.

"Hello, darling." He greeted softly, his hands brushing your hair from your face. "How are you feeling?"

You sent him a shy smile, studying his multicolored eyes.

"Shouldn't you be asking about Jimin?" You asked with a raised eyebrow.

Taehyung waved off your comment playfully.

"He's fine." He stated. "His injuries weren't too bad. I want to know how you are."

Deciding not to question how exactly he knew that, you shrugged your shoulders.

"I'm fine." You said. "Jimin managed to get to me before any of the wolves-"

"That's not what I mean, darling." He hummed, his thumbs stroking your cheeks gently as his eyes softened. "I know that their words hurt you."

Your expression fell instantly at his words, shoulders slumping as you bit your lip.

"I'll be okay," You stated softly. "I just don't want to talk about it right now.."

Taehyung smiled gently, his head nodding at your words.

"I understand." He spoke.

His lips met your forehead in a gentle kiss, his hands grabbing yours gently.

Jungkook's tongue poked the inside of his cheek as he watched Taehyung's lips meet your skin softly, his heart constricting in his chest.

He could feel himself growing annoyed with the hatter's actions.

You smiled widely as Taehyung wrapped you in an embrace, the familiar scent of cotton candy filling your nostrils,

You hugged him back, enjoying the warmth that radiated off of the man who currently held you.

Taehyung's multicolored eyes were locked onto Jungkook's golden orbs.

The hatter raised his eyebrows in amusement at the young prince's obvious disdain for him.

The orange-haired man held you tighter, causing Jungkook's eyes to narrow. Enjoying the reaction he was getting, Taehyung placed a kiss on the top of your hair, watching as Jungkook finally moved into action, walking towards the two of you.

Taehyung slowly released you from his grip, causing Jungkook to freeze in his place.

The young prince watched as Taehyung released one of your hands.

"If you ever want to talk," He began. "I'll be there."

You smiled, nodding your head.

"Thank you, Taehyung."

"Of course." He said with a smile.

He brushed a strand of hair from your face as he continued.

"I'd do anything for you, darling."
